Really peaceful property in a beautiful area but room for major improvement.

I like the management, they were very sweet and helpful. I also really liked the location. It was very quiet and it felt safe. The location is also near some really cool places that I would’ve never experienced if I didn’t stay at this property.

I didn’t like that the office closes at 9 pm. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of anything like that. The room keys de-magnetize very easily. The parking is horrible, it gets taken up quickly and when you do get a spot they’re very small parking spots. The rooms are a little dated. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything going on in the hotel. The price is a little too much for what you get, they could definitely be more generous on cost. The breakfast is very sad, it’s just packaged cereal and cinnamon rolls.

The motel was a good value with great location. If management was different it could be a nice place

The room was newly redecorated with all new bathroom fixtures. Upon arrival the room was clean.

Management was unfriendly and gruff. The breakfast was very skimpy and used cheap products. Four slices of white bread, four English muffins, Only the bare minimum of condiments and coffee/tea selections. Housekeeping was nearly nonexistent on day two and day three.

Fire pit outside was not working... not enough parking for Motel... second night we had to park down the street

Stay was nice surprise for last minute stay and staff was friendly!

The area was nice, quiet, there was availability and staff was friendly and helpful!

The only negative was the toilet was wobbly.

Overall, it felt expensive for what it was.

location , location, location, and the waffles were amazing.

The coffee machines in the lobby and the room. Just a basic coffee machine for those who need coffee for rat thing. The place felt outdated and rough around the edges. TV channels would come and go, room was clean but felt very basic for the amount of money spent. Staff was friendly enough but felt a bit unprofessional.

Everything was very clean. The sloping of the floor is concerning.

We did not eat breakfast, but I got coffee and it was good. Saw other people preparing their waffles and they looked good. Nice fresh fruit.

In our room when you walked from the bed to the bathroom the floor slopes downwards, it’s concerning why it’s like that. What’s happening with the foundation of the back of the motel.

Very good

Breakfast is a simple continental breakfast. The hotel is located just a few miles from downtown Monterey where all the attractions are. The room had a fridge and microwave. Plus a little kitchen that was not in the description but was a pleasant surprise.

The property is well maintained and clean. The staff needs to be professional & cordial.

Room was good and clean, but not well illuminated. Breakfast was okay (bare minimum). Location was good.

Staff in front desk appeared very arrogant, rude and argumentative.

disappointing

Nothing special…

Very thin walls, you can hear every car and every guest that goes by. The staff were unfriendly and the breakfast was terrible. The sofa bed was unbearable to sleep in. very disappointing.

It was a very pleasant peaceful stay.

Breakfast had great options. The location was great with the butterfly sanctuary directly across the street and the beach within walking distance.

It is just a place to sleep. no fun here

the property and rooms were old and outdated. Sunday morning at 7:30 the office wasn’t open for coffee and so called breakfast included so we finally left and didn’t get to check out!

basic hotel accommodations, in an older and in need of an update hotel that price gouged.

the front office desk clerk was super nice and helpful. very accommodating lady.

Being charged more than 600. dollars per night for a hotel that clearly and routinely is between 99 and 199 dollars per night. The fact that you gouged me because it was Monterrey car week I find inexcusable. I get supply and demand but I do not understand gouging prices triple the normal rate. shame on you. PLUS holding 1200 deposit on my CC as well.. is absurd. I am a longtime frequent traveler with all the major hotel brands and chains, and I have never seen this kind of blatant price gouging. Fortunately your hotel was located close to where we needed to be, and your front desk clerk was extremely friendly and accommodating to us . This was my first and LAST Clarion hotel experience.
