Reasonably close to U of Arizona campus where I went to a game. Nice view of mountains from second level balcony/walkway area. Comfortable bed.
Wasn't clear to me that the key could be left at the desk by dropping it of thru an office accessible area. Had to ring bell/buzzer and ended up waking up the manager at middle of the night because I had to leave early for the airport. He might want to emphasize this more during check-in.
If driving from a moderate or greater distance, it is good to be aware that some Tucson roads end, and slight detours are required (e.g., maybe a block or so over on the road where the section discontinues) to keep going on the same road. Not directly hotel-related, but it caused me to have to check in later than I planned.

The room was good-sized, and the beds were comfortable. The towels were nice and thick, and the shower was good. The location was terrific, close to the university area where we found some excellent restaurants. It was easy to travel around Tucson from this location.
The coffee was not good, and there was so little for breakfast that we walked across the street to eat at a restaurant, which was cheap and good. But despite this, we were very pleased with this motel.

Each room is designed differently.

The room was cute, hip contemporary design, great, everything was clean, orderly. The bed was comfortable and the bedding didn't smell heavily of bleach. In advance of my stay, I specifically requested the room be aired out or not cleaned with heavily fragranced products or bleach since I have chemical allergies. I'm not sure what the natural state is, but it was fine and I had zero negative respiratory response. The hand soap and shower soaps are fragranced, so I got some unscented soap at the food conspiracy co-op to wash my hands, had my own shower soap. It didn't matter that much since the room didn't smell like fragrance.
I think it was a spring training game weekend at UofA so the local hotel prices all seemed to be inflated.
Both nights I stayed out with local my friends until the night time.
The first night (Friday) I returned to the hotel around 10pm and there was a group of 5 men who hung out ~30 feet outside my room in a kind of outdoor "hang out'' area from 10pm-3am making a bunch of noise talking loudly and drinking beer. I opened the door and looked out at them, hoping this might bring them consciousness, but no one noticed.
I typically would have made a direct and polite request that they go into their rooms to be loud, but as a woman traveling alone, I didn't want to deal with any emotional backlash or aggressive repercussion to my car or my body that might come from my speaking up for myself. They were a bunch of dudes, probably feeling enthusiastic about a ball game that I didn't care about, they were drinking, probably thinking since it's the game weekend so they're entitled to their semi-noisy party, and were just being inconsiderate... it happens.
I travel with a white noise machine so was able to block out their noise in order to sleep, so I don't know how long they ultimately stayed out there. I recommend always traveling with a small white noise machine for this exact situation. https://www.amazon.com/LectroFan-Guaranteed-Non-Looping-Sound-Relaxation/dp/B07ML45FCQ/ref=sxts_rp_s_a_2_0?
On the second night (Saturday) I got back to the hotel around 130am. They were out there again and around 2am
five of them stood in the doorway immediately next to my room and had a full volume conversation for over 30 minutes, before returning to the outdoor area to party until 3am or later.
I didn't know who they were, so "reporting it" to the hotel management would have been fruitless, and I feared it would be met with backlash from the dudes making the noise if they figured out who reported it.

Attractive and comfortable room. The exterior looks quite “vintage” but the room was attractive, modern and very comfortable. The host was very friendly and helpful.

Very clean and modern hotel. We initially booked for 2 nights but kept extending after the manager gave us an additional discount so our total days stayed was 7. Great central location, easy to get to downtown and some of the tourist destinations. Continental breakfast was decent.
Everything was perfect .

Super comfy. Great location.
The sink stopper was stuck in closed position and could not be raised. The tv remote would not chane channels. Office wasn't open when I checked out around 8am. I Had difficulty locating the key drop slot. Overall a great hotel. Tho. Will stay again on my next pass thru Tucson..

Well located groovy motel. Minutes away from from a large selection of local eats and nightlife. Super comfy bed. Room was clean. You can tell the owners went all out to provide an updated and comfortable stay for their guests. We'll definitely be back!

Everything. In general it was fine. The Bedolla, exceptional.
The washer worked, but the dryer was broken. Fortunately, the Inn’s clerk helped us to clean our laundry in the hotel’s facilities.

there was no sitting chair in the corner where there was a standing lamp. we asked for one. they said we’d have to change rooms

Friendly staff and convenient location! This is a typical motel-style place that offers clean rooms close to downtown Tucson.
Even though I requested a quiet room, we were put into the ground floor room next to the staircase and ice machine (so there was constantly someone walking next to our windows). Way too expensive for what it offers (Unfortunately for us there was a football game at UoA next day which made the rates even more overpriced).

University Inn has a motel-like setup (sans lobby), but once I got into my room, I was pleasantly surprised by the space and amenities. I picked the hotel because it was close to a couple of watering holes I wanted to go to, and it certainly exceeded my expectations. This is neither a motel nor an inn. Kudos for making it new!

The neighborhood is not that inviting. There are no good restaurants within walking distance
4.5 / 5.0
very convenient to trendy restaurants, great attention to detail within the room—good lotions, soaps, had makeup remover, blackout curtains flush to the window
A/C worked but it was still a bit warm in the room. I was there on an exceptionally hot day.
