The location, the beauty of that place, the pool. And the staff was really helpful & friendly. Have a great time in New Orleans with you.

Great location.
Extremely strange set up/staff/technology and service and a lot of unexpected poorly communicated details. We chose this hotel bc of the beautiful pool pictured. Not only was it not available, it was drained with a puddle of mosquito water the entire time. The keys rarely worked. There was rarely someone in the front to help. I nearly missed my flight because the front desk wasn’t there and I could not collect my bags. Part of the property is on the other side of the road.

Limpio y habitación amplia, el personal intentaba ser amable

Never made it to breakfast
Didn’t even stay
Our room was out the back gate with door directly on sidewalk
Crappy room not like pictures at all with door on busy street
Still havent even had my refund addressed 5 days later
This was NYE weekend and finding another solution was a nightmare …
A room within the complex not on the street .. it was a box and falling apart

Lamothe House is the very first place we landed in when we arrived in NOLA and it was just the perfect depiction of what I had of the city in my head! The building is beautiful, very thoughtfully decorated, super charming. It screams history! I love it, and the staff has been very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect: it's very quiet and at the same time walking distance from all the night life we were looking for (tones of live music in a 10 minute walk radius). Highly recommended!
No breakfast, but typical bakery and breakfast places close by, so not a big issue.

Perfect location, very close to Bourbon St. The staff was great. The pool was perfect. We had a room with a balcony. Loved the decor and the history of the hotel.
A microwave would be nice for those late night munchies to heat up your leftovers.
The TV in the bedroom didn't work.
Maybe a couple of chairs for the balcony.
Overall, it was still a great place to stay, and I'll be back!!!

Location
Mold, bugs, and false promises.
If you value your health and nerves - don't do this to yourself.
Extensive review of our stay including picture evidence.
We stayed in room 209 for 3 nights (June 9th 2023 - June 12th 2023).
Only positive thing this hotel has going for it is its location on the edge of the french quarter.
The building is dilapidated (paint peeling, wall coming apart, doors/windows crooked, the railing on our balcony was broken, etc) both from old age and a clear lack of maintenance - pictures attached.
When we first entered the room it's state mirrored the exterior. The room was dated, dusty, and the bathroom, especially the shower, looked the way you'd expect an old bathroom, that noone bothered to look after, to look. There were a bunch of drain flies in the shower, which we blamed on the drain without cover and the fact that the room had probably been unoccupied for a couple days. The towels and linens were clean.
On the first full day we left the hotel in the morning, came back around 5pm, and were greeted by a housekeeper shouting at us from across the floor, asking if we still wanted our room cleaned since we were back already - we declined.
The second day housekeeping did 'clean' our room while we were out - the only difference was the made bed, no trashcans were emptied, etc
In the early morning of our last night there I made a completely disgusting discovery. The grout in the shower had started to peel and an army of black worms was making its way across the shower - pictures attached
Because of this discovery we had a closer look at the room and discovered mold all over the curtains - pictures attached
We packed our things and checked out. Upon checkout we told Todd at the front desk about the situation.
Todd promised us a refund for 2 nights and told us it would take about 5-7 days for us to get our money back.
After those 7 days had passed I messaged the hotel via booking.

the location was absolutely perfect!
mold. there was hot moldy air coming from the fireplace that made it impossible to breathe within a 3 foot radius. we woke up with sore throats upon checking out.

I did love the older feel and we stayed in 119 so we were two seconds from the parking lot and away from the front.
no microwave , no fridge , the tv did not have any stations that worked other then one and it wasn’t a very enjoyable Chanel.

The location can’t be beat
There was no heat in our room, but luckily we didn’t need it. they did offer to bring in a space heater if we got cold.

the bed was very comfortable. the property was quiet but very close to Frenchman’s Street and the French Quarter, so a great location.
the building is an historic build — so old - so expect the quaintness of warped floors - but a nice place.
the courtyard was nice, even though the whether was cool, spent a little time out there in the AM before we headed out for the day.
the coffee wasn’t very good — oh well, not a deal breaker

location to Frenchman’s quarter was excellent
check in was not very welcoming. seems we were lucky the front door was ajar when we arrived so we could enter. another couple were stuck on the doorstep despite multiple attempts to speak with reception.

Everything was wonderful.

The location is perfect - not too noisy, but close to everything
Check-in process was pretty bad. They made us wait till 3 pm (official check-in time) which was okay, but even then our room wasn't ready, and the person at the reception took no responsibility for that, just told us to wait for unspecified amount of time.

I liked the historical piece of the property and that it felt safe. The gentleman at the front desk was awesome. I don’t recall his name but he had big sunglasses on his head and let us drop our bags before we could check in.
The floors were very dirty. I did a workout barefoot and my feet were filthy when I was done. There was only a keurig, no mini-fridge or microwave. It seemed either hot or very cold. Smelled dusty. Poor water pressure.

location was great! very close to the French quarter and Frenchman street!
could use better seating outside, and a small refrigerator would have been great.

the actual Lamothe House was cool, old New Orleans charm with gated courtyard.
unfortunately our room was in old house across back street, not connected to any of that. Drab and spider webs. obviously only clean bathroom and sweep.

Great location and staff. Loved the pool. Comfy bed but not much room to move in the room and bathroom. Not much of a problem as only used for sleeping. Nice to have parking too.

Staff was very friendly and the location was great.
The room smelled musky like mold & was tilted so bad we had to sleep at the end of the bed. My husband and I both got sick from the smell snd checked out as soon as we got up the next morning. It was advertised as a deluxe king room and was very small with a queen bed. We had to walk down an extremely narrow alley to get to it and it was a very long way from our car even though we paid $30 for parking. Would never recommend esp to anyone with allergies. Total waste of money.
