Everything was great
4.7
Breakfast was good. Just right to start your day. Loved the coffee with chicory.
I wish it was a little closer to what we wanted to see but was well situated overall.
4.7
Betsy was personable and the location was convenient.
The room was hot and uncomfortable. The room and facility as a whole were dirty and the "on site" parking was the street if you could find a spot.

Marvelous breakfast. Betsy is a good baker and host.

Betsy was a wonderful host, we enjoyed our morning chats while having breakfast. She was very helpful sharing suggestions for our day's adventure.

Betsey and Bill were great hosts! They offered great advice on places to see and eat! Breakfast was good
and the house was just a 15 min walk to the square in the French Quarters and just down the street from the Louis Armstrong Park. We had a great time and would definitely come back next time we are in town ;)

very comfortable with amenities like coffee in the room!

The location was amazing. You’re not directly in the mix or chaos, but a short 10 minute walk puts you in all the fun neighborhoods.
The sidewalk felt a little sketchy, and I was a little nervous leaving my car parked on the street (no secured parking).

This is a charming B&B and the location, easy walking distance to Frenchman St, can't be beat.

the layout and amenities
a musty odor

Everything. Hosts especially but also location, pool and amazing suite.
Nothing. we had a terrific stay.

Great host, thanks a lot Betsy for your time and kindness. It bring a lot more to the experience of visiting NOLA.
Great place to stay, perfect location super close from the French Quarter. Great advices also on places where to go.
The WiFi is very unstable in the room upstairs, frequently disconnected and with little signal. It should be improved to get a full 10/10.

Mrs. Betsy was absolutely amazing!! She welcomed us right away and was extremely happy to show us around. Wonderful breakfast, fridge was stocked, private pool and the cutest puppy dogs ever!!! Neighbors were friendly and there's a great Thai restaurant right next door!
Not one thing. Everything was great!!!

GReat place, wonderfully located close to Frenchmen street. The personnel is lovely, provided great advice and helped with reservations. I will definitely recommend it, it has a lot of charm and is a small business that deserves your attention!

Betsy and Bill were fantastic. The room was quirky and fun
Clean and well maintained while being close to the French Quarter, a 5 min walk away

Every was great. They were so nice and very accommodating. The dogs were a special bonus.
Not one thing. Keep it just the way it.

Betsy is a wonderful, responsive host! Breakfast was great (solid continental options plus fresh berries and daily treats like king cake, warm croissants, and biscuits), bed was super comfy, and both Betsy and the other guests were incredibly kind and friendly. Didn't get much time to spend in the backyard (was a bit chilly + had a packed schedule) but it was beautiful and would be great during the summer. Location is great - there's not much immediately around it and it's on a quiet street so if you want to be smack in the middle of everything it's not for you, but it's a <10-min walk to the center of Frenchmen St and all of the venues and restaurants there.
Also, something I really appreciated - on my last day my flight was significantly delayed so I had nowhere to put my luggage or hang out for the day. Because there was no one checking in immediately after me, Betsy let me check out in the late afternoon free of charge and was really flexible about timing. Overall super accommodating!
If you want to buy/prepare your own food there isn't a proper kitchen you can use (just a fridge, microwave, and toaster in the breakfast room). Also this is a small thing but the lock on the front doors was a little finicky from the inside and it took some work to get it closed.

The hostess is very personable without imposing on your time or privacy. Her ample and elegant European breakfasts that can be eaten inside or on the patio tables near other guests, or spread out with the Times Picayune, or taken to go are a case in point.

The location was just perfect as it was within walking distance to the Nola night life! the hostess was very friendly and ensured we were well welcomed to our home away from home!!
The only complaint would be the slanted roof(which wasn’t a show stopper) that I being 6’2 consistently hit my head on during the visit. Also the water pressure in the bathroom was nonexistent. Being military, the shower reminded me of my hated showers in the field where we showered just to get the dirt of the day off but not enjoyable as one would expect on vacation.

Near downtown in walking distance. Small and quite with privacy.
The suite had a fold out couch, horrible! Needs to be replaced!

Betsy, the host, was an excellent conversationalist, even though I did most of the talking. The hallmark of a great conversationalist is, I believe, superb listening. :) Additionally, loved the British theme throughout my room, from photos of Winston Churchill and Queen Elizabeth and the Beatles to little knickknacks. It was quiet street with two restaurants very close by, both, affectionately noted, holes-in-the-wall, one Thai, the other local cuisine.
Do not use the ATM in the local cuisine restaurant across the street from the BNB. Using only a banks ATM is a precaution I did not heed. My card was skimmed and some bought $2000 of make up a few days later. They purchased L'Oreal, which tells you something about the thieves taste in make-up.

What to say.. what to say.. Everything about Betsy and Bill was behind wonderful, and Marge and Mabel the doggies were the best! Staying at this bed and breakfast was like being at a home away from home. The pool isn’t huge by any means, but it’s plenty big to relax and have fun. For breakfast we had fruit and a baked good, but other options such as cereal and what not. Talking to the host Betsy, was like talking to a trusted family member and she is so open minded and caring that she wants you to have the best stay possible. I could write a book about all the good things I have to say about Betsy, but I won’t. Thanks Betsy for putting up with our crazy selves you made New Orleans unforgettable. WE WILL BE BACK! PS - right across the streeet their is a seafood restaurant that is a MUST! I mean come on how convenient is that!
I don’t have one thing I didn’t like about the property. If I had to say anything I suppose it would be to give the neighborhood a chance, depending where you pull in, the neighbor does look suspicious... give it a chance, you feel safe on the property and walking just use common sense, and your wits. Don’t give strangers your number!!! ;)

The home and our suite were incredibly comfortable and the decor was beautiful. Our hostess, Betsy, was warm & welcoming. The breakfasts and coffee she prepared each morning were delicious and the conversations were wonderful. She definitely makes her guests feel like visiting family members.
The location was great and you can walk to plenty of restaurants and bars. We visited a different one daily. Betsy also gave us some great recommendations in the French Quarter.
There's a beautiful patio and pool area that guests can enjoy also.
We plan on return visits in the future.
There wasn't ANYTHING to dislike.

What a lovely place for a New Orleans getaway. The room was so quaint and cozy (Marge's salon) and the owners Betsy and Bill were very warm and friendly. It was like staying in the home of a friend. Good places to eat within walking distance. Love ,love, love this place!
There is nothing to dislike.

Garden sitting space, room decor, and friendly hosts.
Wifi insufficient to do online work.

The host Betsy is amazing! Always there to help and make your stay as nice as possible.
Betsy has 2 very cute doggies that she will introduce you to if you ask for it.
Perfect location and very cute patio!!!
Everything was great.
One Thing to consider is that NOLA is pretty humid, and it was a bit humid in the bedroom too, as a consequence.

Everything was amazing. The owner's hospitality was excellent. The dogs were so friendly and lovable! Everything was so neat and organized.
There was nothing I can say that I didn't like. Everything was amazing. Maybe the only criticism I have are the owner's dogs didn't roam free around the rest of the house as I am a huge dog lover.
