Good location. Friendly staff.
Had to pay to park in hotel garage. Never had to before. Used to have free breakfast for seniors. Not anymore. Stayed two nights. Did not get maid service with coffee and fresh towels for room the 2nd day.

It’s old with character but lacks a few upgrades. They are in the process of renovation. Gorgeous hotel with history.
Staff needs improvement. Upgrades in the rooms needed.

You need a better fitness center and the pool area need better maintenance when we were there .

Nasty, no towels or soap in the bathroom. Had to wait a hour for towels so that we could take a shower. Rust and dirt in the shower.

The staff at the front desk when I checked in was amazing. It was a guy. I can’t remember his name.
The bed was awful. I should have taken a nap in my car.

Location, history
Under renovation, so the rooms were not updated. Carpets stained. Bathroom lighting low
3.4
The bar was awesome.
The room was in disrepair. A rusty old chipping bathtub no storage for our toiletries. New window with unpainted frame. Odd hours of operation for the shops, cafe, and bar.
3.4
It was neat and right in the middle of everything
Parking, $22 for 24 hour is a ridiculous

Romeo was very polite when I checked in. Very courteous and informative about letting me know about any additional cost charged to my card for incidentals and lost keys. Overall a really nice interaction with check in.

Great location- great facilities-
BEAUTIFUL STAY!
Nothing!

I love, love, love your hotel. The history, the old pictures, rooms, staircases, elevators, and everything else is so cool. The location is right where I wanted to be; I could spend hours and hours just walking through all the rooms and looking at all the doors, hallways, and furniture. I could go on, but I won't. Even though the whole experience was just so wonderful. Also, during your renovation. I hope you keep as much of the old history as possible.
Two nights the parking garages charged me double.

It’s at a great location near bathhouse row.
Parking. We had to park three blocks away in the overflow parking lot.
3.4
Location is in the center of town. The hotel is historic but very well kept. It is all inclusive with dining, coffee shop, spa and shopping.
The only complaint I had was there was a $15 resort fee that was not included in the price when booking. However, the offset that by giving free parking.

Location and history
Needs modernization which is happening

The grand and beautiful lobby, Christmas dinner was excellent and we so glad we included it in our stay. The front desk staff, Sammy, was so helpful and found a wine bottle opener for us.
The shower in our room was totally disgusting. I would not even shower in it but my husband braved it. The room was lovely otherwise.

The location was great! And the historic aspect of the hotel was cool. It's nice to all dance together in the evenings.
There was no hot water most of the time I tried to shower (at all kinds of different times of day) so that sucked not being able to shower, the carpet in our hotel looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a few months, the walls are paper-thin, you can hear EVERYTHING. The buildings has not had any upkeep, so it's falling apart.
Omg, I saw the rudest bartender I've ever seen in my life! He was so rude and entitled to everyone. He told this middle age lady waiting to get a drink (she literally didn't give him any problem) that everyone else was fine and that she was the only one giving him a problem. She just looked shocked and walked away.

We love that the property is old and historic. They have good room service and great music at night.
Bathrooms In rooms need seriously updating.

The staff did the best they could.
There was mold where the shower had leaked. The shower currently had only a trickle of water. Paint was healing off the walls and water spots were on the ceiling, even in the main lobby. We checked out early.

We have stayed at the Arlington many, many, many times since the 1980's. We have experienced its transitions over the years. We are pleased to note that the new owner is making renovations to this iconic building. Its location is ideal for walking the town of Hot Springs.
In the past we have enjoyed having our pet with us, but the hotel has raised the fee so high that we elected to leave our sweet dog behind in a kennel.
3.4
Staff and hotel were wonderful. What was not told at check-in that you be charged the amount over $50 deposit of your entire stay.
This should be mentioned on website. No one likes a surprise like that. Luckily it was a debit card and was back in my account the same day. Should have been told upfront when checking in. The location was perfect plenty of things to do within walking distance. We will go back and now know what to expect

The beds were nice
The parking is terrible I had to pay $20 as a guest to park. My bathroom was dirty. The elevators were slow. Not a place for people over 50.
3.4
We always love staying at the Arlington, it's beautiful, clean, the beds are comfortable and has a rich history.
The only issue I've found is their math becomes a bit fuzzy. I was charged for my room the night before we arrived, normal. I gave them my card for the incidental hold, normal. I woke up the morning of check out to see that my card had a second hold on it for a significant amount, and no one could really tell me why. It was released after I confronted them about it.
In this economy, we have to watch out for ourselves and be vigilant.

it was a last-minute deal because Priceline put us in honest to goodness roach motel walked in the red roof and immediately saw hundreds of roaches we turned around and walked out it was a holiday weekend Priceline wouldn't help they said that they're sorry that the motel didn't meet up to my standards I said there's freaking roaches in the bed on the floor on the walls and the bathroom and the commode in the bathtub that's not very high standards anyway you guys pull me out of a crappity crapper it was my wife's birthday thank you so much
there's not really much parking around there unless you want to pay I had to park about 80 yd down the road and it was supposed to cost and actually didn't charge me for some reason

We love the Arlington stay here all the time

We luv this historic place!!
Nothing, really,

The keys to the rooms open all the doors in the building. We ended up coming in from the pool thinking we were on the 7 th floor but we were on the 6 th we unlocked 648 not 748 and the key worked. My friends weee staying there and the key also opened there door. I told staff and they told me I wasn’t supposed to be opening other doors anyways. The room was not clean hadn’t been vacuumed in I don’t know how long
Staff was very rude

The pool & hot tub
Bathrooms were small, bathtub was leaking, to turn on the hot water you had to use the cold side, and to use cold water you had to use the hot side. That was for the shower & sink. No room service, the manager was a smarta$$, the keys to the room will open any of the doors.. my friend accidentally went into the wrong room on the 6th floor and she was staying on the 7th floor. Her key even opened my door..

Location is perfect. The rates were great. The room was comfortable. The staff was knowledgeable.
The carpet in the room was a little sticky as if it had been wet recently. And the hallway ceiling near our room was leaking into a bucket. It stormed later that night and the leak spread all into the hallway carpet soaking the hall carpet. Mold was visibly growing on the hallway sheet rock ceiling where the leak has been present for a while. Our room was on the top floor, so that makes sense that a leak was possible.
One of the valet parking attendants was a rude older man. Sounded like he had a New York accent but he got mouthy when I apologized for not having cash on me. He literally moved my car 30ft when we walked out. We could see our car in the 4th spot, but he made some rude comment to us as we left. The hotel only has free parking located 9 minutes away (2 blocks away) and it was storming. NOT COOL. We paid $28 for overnight parking just to have Mouthy Mcgee rattle off comments to us as we left.

The property was beautiful and historic. Great facilities. Beautiful pool and free mineral water.
There was much construction. The floor I was had leaking ceilings and damp carpets, and the construction workers were working right outside my window. A convention filled with rough looking men was happening at the same time as my stay.
3.4
Historical property. I loved the decor and old time feel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Live music in the lobby Friday and Saturday.
Breakfast was OK. They had a big variety of items and a couple xtras like fruit compote and whipped cream for waffles. Waffles stuck to maker though so.... The food served for bteakfast was same as any chain hotel though (fake eggs etc.). I think breakfast should be included in cost of room not an addtl. 17.25 - inclding tax.
3.4
The check in was friendly
The beds were horrible
The room was dingy bathtub needed caulking
The bar staff was unfriendly and didn’t know how to make basic drinks
It’s such a shame to see this iconic hotel die I will not be back after being a customer for over 20 years
3.4
The location.. we walked to all the restaurants and shops
The smell. The elevators were not working, the bathrooms needed some TLC, the bedrooms sheets and covers need replaced
3.4
I liked the location and the historical significance of the hotel. I liked that it had a pool and hot tub. I liked that there was a restaurant onsite.
The ceiling was dripping water the whole time and soaked the carpet and the maintenance guy just said, “yeah, we know”. The hot tub didn’t have working jets, but they were working on it. The food for the dinner seafood buffet was grossly overpriced for the quality of the food and it was all over cooked, and we were there earlier in the evening so it’s not like it had been out for hours. The breakfast was also overpriced for what it was, although I did appreciate the full breakfast and later hours.

I’ve stayed at the Arlington several times before and think it is just a lovely place, it is also just the perfect location in Hot springs!
Sadly the room we got wasn’t the best, the shower wasn’t draining properly, the coffee maker wasn’t cleaned out from the previous stay, and our view was of some construction being done on the building.
