The size and comfort of the room was excellent.
I had no idea how to get to ANY of the pools or exercise room.

Breakfast was $19/person and not included in the hotel cost.
The shower didn't have glass going all the across the opening and with the rain shower head, water leaked all over the bathroom.
The customer service personnel were horribly rude at both check in and check out.

I love my room in the towers is was comfortable an enough space.
Microwave’s could have been better it was unusual not seeing a microwave in a room.

For the price difference we chose not facing the Bay, and what a view of the parking lot we had. We have been coming there for years and the hotel has declined in our estimation. The amenities are not great. The coffee is not even drinkable in the room, therefore, you have to go down to the lobby and pay for drinkable coffee. The staff is not very friendly. I’m looking elsewhere for our future trips to TC.

Overpriced, rude staff members, terrible parking, and far from everything.

My stay here at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa was amazing! The view, staff and facility itself was beautiful and I can’t thank you enough for the wonderful experience. I will definitely be back!!
I have no complaints about this resort.

Room was very comfortable. Hotel was filled with wonderful amenities (i.e. shopping, food, entertainment)
Anniversary room upgrade was not allowed due to booking on this site. That was disappointing to find out once we arrived.

We loved the fact they have a private lake access on lake Michigan with fresh towels and a bar with food and a private pool they had a shuttle to take you to the beach down the road. And they had an outside pool with bar & food with fresh towels, at the resort. and inside they had 2 more pools with 3hot tubs. So relaxing they had so much more than I expected.

The hot tubs close very early

We have stayed many times at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. We love the area and the beautiful setting. The bed was comfortable and we had a very nice view from our room. We did not eat at any of the resort restaurants, but we did use the pool, which is very nice.
Our room was not what I would expect for a $300+ /night room. The shower door would not close and seal. Water leaked out after every shower. We had to use towels to mop up the water. The tile ledge below the shower was cracked. It appeared to be installed incorrectly. The air return vent in the bathroom was caked with dust and dirt. The carpeting was quite worn and stained. The dresser was screwed shut - unsure why?

Staff was great. Pool and beach were great. Room was spacious and clean.
The pillows and mattress were not as comfortable as we would have liked. Pillows were too flat and mattress was a bit too firm. And the air conditioning unit in room was very loud.

Location was nice. The staff was pleasant
People changing kids diapers in the pool no one made them leave even though it was poop in the pool, kids pool indoors was closed, the den with bowling was closed, my towel rack fell off the wall when I hung a towel up, and they said the had room service but when I followed the steps to order they stated they were no longer offering room service.
Too much money for everything to be closed or not offered.

Room was clean
Checked in at 4:30pm and found most of the stores and services were closed because of staffing issues. They hosted a convention whose members dominated the few open restaurants so we were forced to leave property for any snacks or dinner we wanted. Also window in room was clouded so you couldn't see out half of it.

The staff was excellent as well as the restaurants
The indoor pools and hot tubs were closed.
The tv didn’t work properly no menu and channel guide.
No on demand and the problems could not be fixed and had been this way for quite some time for the entire facility

Indoor pool/water play area was closed for maintenance which was the whole reason we chose the resort for our stay with our two small kiddos. This information was not available when we booked our stay, we found out when we arrived, and staff did very little to help remedy the situation.
The Booking.com staff who I spoke to regarding the complaint was helpful and empathetic.

Perfect location with tons of amenities. My husband enjoyed the golf course!! A short distance from Traverse City, where we traveled to each day.

Compared to every resort nearby this in my opinion gives you everything under 1 roof.
Had I booked it directly with the resort I would have gotten a $250 resort credit. I reached out to booking.com been almost a month no response.

the property is beautiful. loved my room
I wasn’t sure how to get to the pools

Location
No washing machines, paying extra to use a tennis court for an hour and being placed in a room w a wedding event / DJ outside which required us to move rooms or not get “ANY” sleep

Wonderful location beautiful grounds amazing view and rooms. Lots of options for activities.
Everything including the pools close at 10 pm , it is located about 12 minutes from town where all the activities and dining are located so its a bit of a hassle to have to leave back and forth for anything and if you get back late Everything on the property is closed.

Breakfast was ok, buffet style is not my favorite
We did not have our room freshened up each day, only once in the 7 days we were there and we had to ask. We had to ask for clean towels Every day but one, we emptied our own waste baskets, each day, this was a shocking experience for such an expensive resort.
The resort fee charged was ridiculous, and every day!! It was beautiful but disappointing.

Liked the breakfast. Convenient. Omelets were a plus!
The restaurant is overpriced. The food was good but not that good. The beds and pillows are uncomfortable. The bathroom is small. For the room price the rooms should be more on par with a Westin or Hilton. These, while improved are not.

Every thing is over great just not enough space for out side it is like after 8:30 you are done you can hang out outside and no swimming pool was very very boring 😞🪴
I didn't like to spend over 2600$ for three nights with no breakfast or no swimming after 9 in or out door and no place to sitting down outside 😭

EVERYTHING!
EVERYTHING ESPECIALLY THE GOLF COURSE!

The spa
The room was small, especially the bathroom & and honestly, for what I paid, it was way under my expectations. I was super disappointed the minute I walked in my hotel room.

Location, beautiful property and so many fun things to do at the resort
We were put in a “newly renovated” area. There was garbage in the hallway since the time we checked in to checking out. Our power went out at 12a right as we were heading to bed; had to deal with strange men coming in our room (it was just my Mom and I) trying to fix it for an hour and a half. Didn’t come back on until 7am.
