Great family hotel.

Has sauna and hot tub.

There breakfast was lacking a little and the internet was down so the tv didn’t work.

comfy large room, quiet rooms- tons of things to do in the UP

large rooms.very quiet at night even though the parking lot was full

we originally booked for 2 nights Aug 8th & 9th through booking.com. We enjoyed our vacation so we decided to stay one more night. The evening front lobby person promised us we could stay in the exact same room on Aug 10th if we booked another night through booking.com. On the morning of the 10th we went to the front desk to have our room keys recalibrated since we added another day. The day manager told us that our room was booked a month earlier by a couple who had requested our room specifically. She reviewed our options of available rooms, so we had to move all our belongings. We had a boat cruise scheduled the previous day. Had it been scheduled on the 10th we would have been late for the cruise, we had to wait until our new room was clean. Then the front desk lady had the comment "We WON'T charge you for an early arrival for your new room." She said she was training new staff, but the evening staff worker did not even check to see if the was reserved.

Breakfast was good! Bed was comfortable, room was clean!

Hot tub was down. Was kinda bummed about that.

won’t go there again.

our original room was not cleaned from the previous guest stay. staff on hand didn’t seem surprised about this which makes me believe this occurs frequently. moved to another room and that room was cold and we weren’t able to adjust the heat. shower water smelled as well.

Exceptional

Great motel. Clean and bright. Mini fridge and a coffee pot in the room. We arrived after dark and we had a little difficulty locating the office to check in. Other than that everything was great. We didn't have time to enjoy the pool or sauna. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would recommend this motel.

Was a challenge to located the office at night.

We came, we spent the night and we left as we were on our way to the Sault.

When I first drove up it was a bit difficult to find the 'office'. It had been moved 'around the corner'. I saw a little sign that said 'office' with an arrow. As I drove in and pulled up this wonderful man came to the door, opened it and welcomed us in. We had the nicest chat with him. He was the owner and had lots of energy in telling us about his motel and his Grandfather's restaurant up the street. The rate was great too.

Decent place to stay for the price. Clean rooms.

I’m a pool owner and the hot tub chemicals were so strong our skin felt slimy, eyes started burning, skin burned on legs and my son developed an instant rash on his legs. We all showered immediately and even after several hand washes our hands still smelled like chlorine the next day. Our hallway reeked of chlorine the entire three nights we were there.

Glutton for punishment

The location is very convenient.

They have updated half the rooms and guess which side we got. So dissatisfied.The smell was horrible. It smelled like an old smokers room. We were hoping for a newer renovated room, but got stuck in the 70s. The filter on the AC unit was filthy, the wallpaper was peeling and although the bedding was clean, the mattress had lumps and bumps that will age you five years. I'd rather sleep in my car. If I hadn't been so desperate for a room under $150 that weekend, I would never have returned. Never again.

Large room that was nicely furnished. Nice amenities, including sauna. Continental breakfast was varied and ample. Best cup of coffee I have ever had at any motel stay

The staff were friendly and helpful. Place Needs improving. The new Lobby is nice.

we stayed for the weekend. room was stuffy and the AC was new but didn’t have the right electrical cord to plug it in to work. They did bring us a fan but that just moved all the dust around the room and gave us all allergy’s. The frame of the door was busted in and then nailed in with finishing nails so when you opened the door the doorframe came off. The lights flicked on and off and we thought it was going to catch on fire. The beds were the absolute worst. we spoke with staff they were apologetic and we just asked them to maintenance the room before they reserved to anyone else.

Staff was friendly and helpful, especially Meghan. Facility was clean and modern with a breath of nostalgia. Excellent location.

definitely will stay again, cute motel, with just what we needed.

first room smelled like my grandma’s house, I brought room spray through, so it helped. 2nd room didn’t smell, had to switch , cuz we stayed an extra night.
