Nothing
The room smell was disgusting,
the receptionist was arrogant
The luggage delivery man brought the cart inside the bedroom, even though this is usually gets rolled on the road
The room was right next to the elevators and the noise kept us up all night
We checked in at 1 past midnight and checked out 4 hours later and left to another facility

Cool, historic and luxurious.

Very nice people
No balcony, loud rooms, food was not good enough for cost.

Clean, aesthetically pleasing. Great staff. Great restaurant on site.
Very pricey.

I never ate breakfast.
The customer service was horrible I was racially profiled by the concierge, I wasn’t treated fairly at all.
3.5
The view and location. The parking, valet and front desk staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was excellent but extremely pricey.
Phone in room was not hooked up, I wasn't certain how to contact the front desk. There was a mouse running around the bar.

The room was wonderful and at a good location overlooking the river.
The restaurant was really nice.
Nice and friendly staff all all around.
Out of my control but the snow even though it was beautiful.
For the amount of money for the stay parking should have been free.
I was trying to schedule a spa or massage and was unable to book on line. Once we got there an attempt was made however the times weren't Is compatible to our stay.

The breakfast was a complete disappointment. They need to provide a higher quality and variety. Had it not beed for an amazing staff member, it would have been really disastrous for me.
The bread was hard and there were not that many choices. Just sub par. They need to elevate it for the place and price they charge.

Restaurant had amazing food

We liked the ambiance and the staff very much. It is a great place to stay if you are going to the Kennedy Center or places nearby.
The Kingbird restaurant was disappointing and very expensive. The food was mediocre for the price and not enough menu choices. That was probably the most disappointing thing and it set the tone for the entire stay for my partner. I think improving and expanding this would be very welcome. We decided not to stay an extra night due to the limited options.
Also, no Keurig in the rooms and paper cups for coffee at this level of establishment I think is incongruous.

best hotel in DC in our opinion! located by the river and has a great pool. easy to walk to the white house. has a very interesting history/ ask the staff and they will be happy to tell all about its involvement in the Watergate scandal in the 1970’s

The property was beautiful, we had a balcony view from our room. Seeing the water and the courtyard was amazing.

Size of room. Room was comfy.
I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel during my recent stay. I specifically paid for a river view room but was sent to a room that was either occupied or not cleaned, with unmade beds and leftover food from room service. Despite being relocated to a room on a lower floor without a river view, I only received a refund of $50, which was much less than what I had paid for the river view room.
In addition to this, the lights in the room wouldn't shut off, and I had to call maintenance twice before someone showed up to fix it. The deadbolt on the door wouldn't lock either, and although maintenance promised to come back the next day to fix it, they never did. Despite requesting to speak to a manager about these issues, I was promised a callback that never came.
To make matters worse, there were disruptive and loud guests on my floor throughout my stay, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The strong smell of marijuana coming from the room next door was alarming for me and my child. Although we complained to the hotel, they only knocked on the doors of loud guests and did nothing to address the marijuana smell.
Finally, the hotel's location is inconvenient and far from any amenities, and guests have to rely on taxis or Uber to get around, except for the Georgetown area, which is within walking distance if you don't mind walking past homeless encampments.
Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay at the hotel. My expectations were not met, and the hotel did not take appropriate actions to address my concerns.

The location is good. The views from the windows showcased the river. The rooms seemed recently done and comfortable. I liked the bigger than average bathrooms.

Very romantic and elegant hotel. Loved the shower .
There is no other parking options.

clean and beautiful
the mini bar in the room was not complimentary. They should tell you when you check in. no one looks at the small sign. I just happened to see it the next day.

the people were super friendly

The bellhop was the nicest man on earth, as were the valet guys. The television stopped in our room right in the middle of the second half of the World Cup final (huge fans of soccer/football), so the valets guys got me an app on my phone to watch the rest of the game on my phone. SO helpful. I would say the service is the best thing about this hotel.
1) The TV just stopped in the room toward the end of the final of the World Cup!!! 2) The walls at the Watergate are paper thin. Not sure how any secrets were kept here (I know it wasn't at the hotel but the office buildings next door, right?) We were awakened twice by couple next door (on either side) getting it on at 3:30am and 5am. They weren't terribly loud so it was the walls, not them. I think that the walls go to the windows and the connection between the walls and windows is not fully sealed.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. The room is clean and location is excellent. But the hotel is just an old hotel...
Nothing.

Nice modern hotel. beautiful bathroom. very convenient to the Kennedy Center and Georgetown.
it is very overpriced. i have stayed in many other hotels that were nicer fir less money. Also, there weren’t any other restaurants in the area. we had dinner in the bar which was the only open restaurant and paid $124.08 fir 2 cheeseburgers and 2 glasses of house wine.
