It was a wonderful inn with all the special touches. Breakfast was delicious. Great location too!

The staff was very responsive and friendly and the bed was amazingly comfortable
Unfortunately we came on a Tuesday when everything in town was closed

The location was great. It was very convenient to Harper’s Ferry National Park. The inn itself was cute. Our room was warmly furnished and even had some Christmas decorations!
The walls were a little thin, but during our stay everyone around us was quiet so it wasn’t a problem but you could tell that it could be.

This Bed and Breakfast was amazing..our room, Suite #1 was really large, comfortable bed, lovely linens, and a bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub, separate shower, separate toilet room and double vanity. The common rooms were quaint and very comfortable. Breakfast was the best home made breakfast we have ever had at a B and B….baked egg with ham on top of hash downs, sausage, small salad and yogurt with berries, orange juice, delicious coffee and brown bread.
Everything was perfect!

We stayed in suite 3, in the attic, which had a comfortable king-size bed and a good size living and kitchen area with fridge, hot plate and grill and basic cutlery and crockery. We were looked after very well by Megan who made sure we had everything we needed and cooked delicious breakfasts, different each morning. My husband wasn't well during our stay and she was very happy to prepare a breakfast tray so he could eat in our room. Tea, coffee and biscuits were available during the day. Our room was comfortable and had air conditioning (which we needed!) Although the hotel is on the main road, it was quiet and was a 10-15 min walk to the centre of town. Plenty of parking.
The bedroom blind didn't fit well and was torn at the bottom. The grill and hot plate in the kitchen area needed a clean, and crockery and cutlery was a mish-mash of odd bits lying around, rather than 2 of everything.

No TV to watch Monday night football in room.

The history behind the building
Close to downtown Harper’s Ferry
Complementary drinks and snacks.
Good breakfast
Outside seating area not safe due to wasps. Inside seating not comfortable. Antique furniture not comfortable. Not conducive for casual relaxing. Felt more like a museum setting.
Limited parking due to microbrewery events
Lack of communication from innkeeper

Room was huge and bed was, too. Breakfast was better than any hotel breakfast we've had before. They even let us chain our bikes up underneath their back porch.
We loved the age of this historic building, and found the antique furniture, old lock key and squeaking wood floors charming. It's not a new hotel, so be sure to keep this in mind.

The history and the overall coziness of our suite 1 and just the entirety of the house
Wish the shower was a little bigger with a seat to shave my legs 🙂

Breakfast was suburb. Dinning area was relaxed and comfortable. Chief was pleasant to talk to and provided excellent service and meal.
Never received a receipt for the bill. Didn't really need it, there were no extra charges, but thought one should have been sent via email.

I can't say enough good things about Light Horse - Harper's Ferry is one of my favorite getaways and this is my new favorite place to stay. It's perfectly appointed for the town's vibe, breakfast was made to order by a great chef, and the room was spacious and comfortable. You can walk to the Barn across the lot for drinks and entertainment. Also, management let me park on the lot for an extra three days so we could hike to DC and take the train back. So much money and trouble saved. Thank you so much and see you soon!
The only possible drawback is the 15-20 minute walk to Lower Town, but I loved it! No complaints!

I absolutely loved this B and B. The staff was really friendly.
The mattress was very hard in our room compared to the others. I’m a very light sleeper, and you can hear everything, but I do understand that it’s an old house.

Great breakfast, friendly staff who was able to answer questions about the area. Room #1 was very large, with a king bed, shower and tub with jets. Other rooms are smaller but nicely decorated.
It's an older building with wood floors, so you hear everyone walking around. It's almost too far to walk into town -- less than a mile but at the top of a steep hill.

We stayed 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Parking is very conveniently located directly behind the building. (Note that there are stairs involved, approx. a flight.) The proprietors texted a code to access the back door, and our room key was in our room's door. Our room (Suite 2) was a good size with a king bed and very large bathroom. There is plenty of common space downstairs with sofas, chairs, etc. Breakfast is served at 9:00 am in the dining room. The chef, Megan, is warm and friendly. Breakfast each day was delicious, a full plate including eggs, meat, fruit, etc. Coffee, tea, and snacks are available all day. The property is well situated to visit Harpers Ferry, and one day we toured Antietam.

The history. Walking proximity to attractions. E-mails received before we arrived giving places to eat.
Thermostat was in hall, kept room a bit warm for us.
