Valet team was very nice and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The room temperature was nice and cool.
In addition to a very rude check in process which the hotel has addressed for us, we upgraded our room from a two Queen room to what we expected to be a one bedroom King suite with a sleeper sofa. Unfortunately, our room was one larger room with a sofa that wasn't a sleeper. The hotel confirmed that the price we paid was in line with the true one bedroom suite and that we should address with who we booked through. They didn't have any rooms available so we couldn't make any changes on site. The room was a little bare bones in terms of amenities. There were no snack options and no 'wow' moments.

The bed was extra comfy and the view was amazing.
The shower head was not a strong water flow. The biggest problem was the hot/cold control. It was very hard to get the water to br warm, it was either too hot or too cold and when trying to make it hotter or colder was difficult because moving the know just a little changed the temperature drastically.

I loved the exceptional location, which offers easy access to Hollywood’s best spots. The hotel’s amenities and facilities are top-notch, with the sky deck being a particular favorite. My friend and I enjoyed relaxing there, taking in the stunning views. The hotel also stands out for its daily activities, like the free happy hour with food, which creates a welcoming atmosphere for guests. I appreciate how they put thought into monthly events as well, making the stay even more engaging and enjoyable. The staff truly goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. Having stayed here multiple times, I can confidently say the service and experience only get better with each visit.

Lovely lobby with great amenities and events!
Cleanliness was definitely a concern, the desk chair was filthy and so were the sheets. Also I was promised a city view instead when I looked out my window I was face to face with the patrons at the pool…
And the shrimp and grits at Jane Q genuinely looked revolting, I had to send it back

I liked the proximity to everything my family and I went to visit
The salmon bagel. You guys should consider getting rid of that item from your menu

Tolles Designhotel in guter Lage

Jade and Andie (Frontdesk) their welcoming attitude made our stay feels homey. However, we’ve observed that they have frontdesk agents that doesn’t do “greeting” acknowlede to their guests everytime they come in —especially it would be best if they acknowledged their guests to say “how was their day” like a friendly professional conversation. 😁 Also, the (2) bellman’s (Noah and Isaac) were awesome too! Tyler at the restaurant was wonderful. They are those team that made our stay feels “homey”.
If staying in the “Hollywood” area is your priority —location is awesome.

Location, cleanliness and the staff.
The breakfast restaurant opening time was a bit delayed from the time they said.

The hotel was very pretty and we were able to get a complementary glass of wine at 5 PM. The bartender who served us this glass of wine was very nice.
The hotel staff at the front desk was rude and unhelpful. We walked downstairs to pick up our dinner and the girl who handed us our food was very rude and rolled her eyes when we asked for extra napkins. Facilities such as the pool and rooftop bar are not actually open, which were the reasons we booked this hotel for just a one night stay. So the facilities did not meet our expectations.

It looked very clean.
The windows are very dirty and the pipes in the ceiling are visible. The employees are not smiley. They were just direct and never smiled or friendly. Two gentlemen were the ladies were not. The valet parking man did smile and a tall man that first attended us.

Location
The furniture was scratched and beat up. All the luggage holders were broken. The shower head was uncomfortably gross and had not been cleaned in some time. The carpet was stained and old.

The lobby is huge and has an amazing vibe. Great and helpful staff, they are always attentive. Great breakfast options. Has a nice pool area (although it doens't feel super well maintained).
A lot of the equipment / furniture seems not very well maintained. The windows were very dirty, I don't think this is acceptable for a hotel of this caliber. I specifically requested a quiet room and they put me in one that was on the side of the highway with bad sound insulation where the traffic noise was audible even at night and caused me to wake up multiple times a night.
The hotel offers a $15 credit per day that is usable, but some of the items are overpriced ($8 per water bottle in the room – which didn't even have signs on them for the first 2 days so it wasn't clear that they were for purchase).

The atmosphere was amazing. Great lobby, great staff and just a wonderful stay. Very accommodating and great location!! The room was also super spacious.
The toilet had an issue it kept flushing but that was fixable so it wasn’t an issue.

Great location, wonderful view of the Hollywood sign from the room, amazing design, good food (Pizza) in the restaurant, pool nice as well.
It’s a bit shabby (chic), if the hotel does not do repairs I suppose it will get uncomfortable in the next half year.
Valet parking is insane, more than 60 Dollars (in our case just for the night)! Not a cheap place to stay in general.

Modern, clean and comfortable hotel
The location (Hollywood Bd is not what it used to be) and the price (expensive for what it is).
Very expensive breakfast for “so so” food.

L'espace

This is my second stay at this Kimpton property, and the incredible location is what drew me back. As Angelenos living overseas, we are back in LA often and sometimes need a break from staying with family or friends. This property is perfectly located central to all the places we need to be in LA — right near the 101 to hit the Valley for one family, close to Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Echo Park and the East Side for the other family and our friends. Easy walk to the new Amoeba, Thai Town, the Red Line etc.
The rooms always seem way too "empty." They're large, but lacking furniture or art to fill these awkward, empty spaces. I'd have loved a comfy sofa under the window, another lamp, a more substantial desk or workstation — SOMETHING in the weird zones of the room! There was also a private pool party during our stay. Hotel guests were allowed in, but the party was nearly over when we arrived. Husband wanted to swim after it ended, but the pool looked very murky/cloudy after having drunk people paddle around in it for hours. I was pretty grossed out by it!

The stuff we’re lovely and very helpful, we got a very nice room. The location is great with close public transportation. The room was clean, big and had a great view to the Hollywood sign.
The shower stream wasn’t amazing but not terrible. There’s no window to open in the room so the air is based on AC only.

Wow! Just lovely. A cool vibey hotel with lots going on in the evenings. Great location that felt safe. A short walk to the heart of the touristy part of Hollywood. We walked around until nightfall then got an Uber back to the hotel. We parked in the multi-storey car park on the corner of Argyle Ave and Carlos Ave, which worked out cheaper than hotel parking. We booked a Suite, which was perfect for us and the teens. We requested a roll out bed too as the sofa bed was too small to share. Very spacious.
Although the pool was lovely and relaxing, I felt there were very limited seating around the pool. The cabana's were extremely overpriced at $300, so weren't booked. These could have been a lovely area to chill.

This hotel had great design. We spent time in our room and lobby and both were comfortable and well-designed. The staff were all great. And the hotel gym was outstanding, with a large collection of free-weights and machines we don't usually find in hotel gyms. And my family just loved the views of the Hollywood sign.
The location was not great. Hollywood Blvd was gross, actually. And we didn't feel comfortable leaving the hotel on foot at night. There were some fun attractions near by, and even some good restaurant choices, but we felt most comfortable getting in the car and driving to other areas for day trips.
