Very friendly and helpful staff, central yet quiet location to Hollywood. A small but functional kitchen area with three large fridges to store things so plenty of room for everyone.

The position is fantastic, just 1 min walk from the Walk of fame.
The room is quite small and the bathroom is even worse. The sink in the bathroom is so small that it's quite useless: just washing your face, you spread water everywhere.
The shared toilet in the aisle is beside the room (sharing a wall with the room) and this is causing a lot on noise all day and all night long.
I would recommend this place just for the position. No worth for that money.

Localização excelente! Pertíssimo da calçada da fama, Teatro Chinês, de um mercado e de um metrô. Funcionários muito gentis e prestativos.

The location is amazing. Both for exploring Hollywood as for reaching other parts of town. The hostel is in a surprisingly quiet street with gorgeous Gardens and terraces.
The room was very sparsely furnished. A nightstand and black out shades would have made a whole lot of difference. Because it is a hostel in a 1920s home everything makes a lot of noise and the walls are paper thin. Bring some earplugs and a sleeping mask and you'll be able to sleep just fine. The room was not super clean, we could find some hairs from previous guest and the bed linen and towels were stained (not necessarily dirty, but mostly stained).

Nice location tucked away less than a block from Hollywood Blvd.

I stayed for the night for a show and the location was perfect! The shuttles for The Ford & Hollywood Bowl stop less than a block away. The place was super clean and comfortable with old-school LA charm, and I liked being able to easily go on foot to the Walk of Fame while I was hanging out during the day.
I wish there had been lockers in the room - lockers are available in the basement, but I would have liked a little more convenience. Wi-fi was also a little slow.

Great location! They also give you linens and towels free of charge. The shower was very clean. There is a kitchen to use for everyone. Staff was very nice, they had no problem with late check in.
The bathroom was smelly and unclean, there was only two bathrooms and one shower for several rooms to share. I got a dirty towel and generally cleanliness could've been better.

Excellent location in Hollywood
Easy to access to central Hollywood area and this place is very quiet
Very big old style manor type of house from long time ago for shared living
many historical items are everywhere in the house, like old telephone booth and it's still active!
very nice front yard, feel like very early time of Hollywood life style
very easy to walk into world famous Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel where many Hollywood stars stayed
Easy to walk to cafe "25 Degrees" to have great burger and beer
My room was small but great condition room, very comfortable and quiet, had private bath room, walk in closet
Only issue if you have a big suit case, there is no elevator but can't complain it as it is beautiful historical house

Interesting historical building, great location, comfortable homey atmosphere, clean bathrooms, etc.
Slightly outdated but that's part of its charm

Close to the subway. Staff really friendly and helpful. Rooms were large size & clean. Nice little cosy house in the hustle & bustle of the city! Good value for the location.
The area was a bit sketchy at night as a solo female traveller (Hollywood as a whole is though I learnt, so can’t be helped, you’d get it anywhere around that area.) The old lady barking out orders with her dog, who I thought worked there but later learnt she did not and just long termer. Very rude (but again can’t be helped)

Nice staff. Clean bed and room. Excellent location.
Very small restrooms. The bedroom smelled not very good because of the old building.

Great hostel. I been in many hostels in LA, so i know rules of success for hostels. This hostel is good in everything
1. Good, not shaking, not noisy beds. Idk why, but most of hostels here have terrible beds, which shakes even with tiny movement of anyone - upstairs or downstairs. This hostel has great bed! You don't feel movement of person above or below you. It's rare and it's cool
2. Good kitchen
3. Rooms only for girls. Let's keep gender intimacy
4. Good location. Easy to approach everything, gym and supermarket nearby, but in silent area
5. Cozy inner yard
6. Intelligent silent guests. No long stayers, they are terrible
7. Friendly staff
8. Enough toilets and showers
9. Cozy nice common area
10. Laundry service

I stayed two separate nights so I ended up in two separate rooms. The first room was amazing- large, comfortable, with pretty furniture, and super quiet (it was a weekday). There is a well-equipped kitchen and quite a few bathrooms scattered around the hostel, and lockers as well (though I didn't use them). You're down the street from the Hollywood Walk Of Fame but the space is super quiet at night and I slept well, and there are easy public transport links and shops nearby (Target and CVS but also a little mall a couple of blocks away).
The second room I stayed in was a lot smaller and since someone lived in the room long-term, it was full of the person's belongings, even in the closet and chest of drawers, and I felt like I was intruding on someone else's space. (Also, it smelled like sage was being burned there regularly) I didn't immediately make my bed and left my sheets and towel on the bed, and when I came back, they had been given back to reception by the person who lived there long-term as they "weren't aware" someone else was staying, which I didn't appreciate and thought was slightly out of boundaries. It's a shared space, not their room. The hostel could also use a better luggage area as it is just kept in the reception room, and not even behind a desk. It's just there. It would feel safer if it was a closed-off room.

This place is about a 2 min walk from Hollywood Boulevard, and the Chinese Theatre, but you wouldn't know it. It is a quaint little house, peaceful but not dead.
It was so good, I added an extra night.
Nothing really, it would nice if they did food, but that would be picky.
