Wonderful staff but a deep clean is needed
Very kind and helpful. She offered us homemade curry and a snack for our daughter during check-in.
The facilities were not very clean. Mold on doors, hair on floor and accumulated dust around the house.

A taste of rural Japan
Guesthouse Kimiko is quiet and beautiful. A real taste of rural Japan it's surrounded by hobby farms with interesting walks nearby. The house itself has modern facilities and is spacious with nice views. The bath is great. At night you can hear frogs, the flowing river and interesting night birds. The beds are very comfortable too although if you're tall I'd recommend the futons. There is a small convenience store 7 minutes walk away.
Some windows were not clean, so the nice view was obstructed. There is also only one induction stove for one pot or pan at a time, making cooking a long process. The guesthouse is a little far away from the tourist town of Kasagi and walking there takes time.

A nice house on a hill
We were lucky to have the place only for ourselves, so we enjoyed the big dining room, the nice bathroom with so many amenities (and bath jets!!!!) The host Kankun is an absolutely kind person, selfless and caring for our well being! We felt home instantly!
The kitchen is a bit small, lucky we were not much to cook!

No communication with the staff, just left us the key. Room was not clean. Bed is not comfy. Microwave, oven not working.
