Built in 1884, Hotel Victoria in Lugano-Paradiso stands right on the shore of Lake Lugano and offers panoramic views over the bay and of Mount Bre. All rooms were completely renovated in 2015 and come with a flat-screen TV and free WiFi.

Sympathique pour une étape

L'emplacement et la chambre correspondait à nos attentes. Le déjeuner était bon et varié. La vue de l'hôtel était très sympa.

On entendait les basses de la musique de la boite de nuit située à côté. Etant sensible au bruit, c'était assez dérangeant. Par contre, il n'y avait pas d'autres nuisances liées au dancing.

there was an amazing kids room with full of toys. our 2 year old daughter spent time when we had breakfast.

since the hotel is quite old, the handle of the doors were broken. but the overall was fine

A unique experience

The central location

It seemed like a mixture of a family home , small children’s stuff everywhere , lots of clutter all over the hallways , and it was like a fawlty towers on speed .. signs outside for a nightclub , then some strange Lord Tillingdon restaurant which just doesn’t fit with Lugano . Sloppy spray painting everywhere .. and it’s a pity as the location is wonderful and if a good hotel inspector and interior designer came in it could be great. Very old fashioned bedrooms, with old VCR under television in bedroom .. went out of date 20 years ago . A cupboard with minibar written on it but just a blank space when you opened the door . A lot of posters of children stuck to pillars and posts .. private stuff . Just off the wall! Sorry but that was what we got .

I thought hotel is the big building in the pic but it’s not. it’s the small one. bed not comfortable, when I walk there is noisy sound and I can hear upper room steps, bathroom was not good when I took shower water is not going inside. also, I saw hair in different areas which mean it was not cleaned well. all need renovations. breakfast is same every day, we need to boil the egg and no one will make omelet if u want. I saw hair in breakfast buffet as well.

The hotel was in a nice location close to public transport, beds were comfy and room was fairly clean, for a place to sleep and shower it was great as spent most of the time in lugano. Old style carpets and pictures which were nice. I would likely stay here again in future visits.

Little run down if you really look into things, cabinets chipped/cracked, tiles cracked etc but for the price you can't really complain, no kettle in room and breakfast was pretty standard, bread, croissant, eggs, ham and cheese and a few cereals.

View was beautiful but unfortunately the only thing that looked like the pictures. The staff were also freindly.

The rooms, breakfast and overall hotel did not match the photos provided on booking. The rooms were dated with broken furniture and the radiator flooded every night. We had to move rooms once, but problems still persisted. The bathroom had spots of black mold and very strange shower systems.

The location is perfect. About 5 min to railway station.

The hotel needs to be renovated. For non-smoker is hard to stay, because the smell of smoking is everywhere.it is annoying

I really Regret our Stay in Hotel Victoria

I liked the city, but the Hotel was a big disaster, very dirty, insects and mosquitos all over the place, never changed the sheet and towels were getting changed once in 2 days. I love to visit Lugano, but never ever Hotel Victoria

I didnt like the broken Bed, the big hole in the wall and insects and mosquitos coming from it. didnt like as they were not giving clean sheets and towels everyday.

Great location and view

The room had a great view over the lake - and a balcony with seating to enjoy that view. Breakfast in the elegant dining room was excellent, supported by really good service.

Our room was tired and needed a facelift. The bathroom was spacious, but had hooks and wires from previous installations still hanging on the walls. The cupboard and desk and bedside tables were old and cheap but still worked. If you stay, bring a few coathangers, because only two were provided.
