The location was perfect: in a very quiet residential area, very close to the lake and to the town center.
The host was very nice, he gave us a lot of good advices and information about places to visit.

Perfect location - best to combine walk, bicykle cable car.
Only 2 issues: falling toilet seat - one funny detail :)
The only major problem is the information about the Summer card - unfortunately the accommodation doesn't issue summer card and it's a pity to not to use the cable cars for free...

The accommodation was excellent with gorgeous views. There was a separate living area to the bedroom which was ideal! Alex was an incredible host and gave us very good recommendations.
It is around a 20-25 minute walk into the centre of Zell am See but the walk is around the lake with stunning views so couldn’t complain!

The host was awaiting us at the arrival time, guided us through the accommodation (we booked 2 apartments) and the facilities. He also provided valuable advises about the skiing options in the area as well as the best ways to get to the slopes/lifts. BTW, there are three ski centers in the area, easily accessible by a car or ski-bus. The host was also ready to help us in any situation during our stay.
Thanks!

The house is nicely located outside the centrum in a quiet area. The view from the balcony is superb. A friendly young man welcomed us and even helped to carrying our luggage to the second floor. Much appreciated! Free parking.
We chose Haus Alpina based on previous reviews. Tricky sometimes... as small businesses often get reviewed by friends.
We booked here the Family Room with Balcony which looks great on booking. Only that we were given a completely different room (please see my enclosed photos) of very questionable comfort: a ruined couch, a chair almost broken, everything outdated and not very clean as well. We were asked not to open the balcony after sunset, the soap bottle was empty, the daily cleaning service didn't happen, too soft pillows and other things I'm tired to mention anymore...
However, it 's fair to speak about the weirdest thing that happened to us here at Haus Alpina: We were refused to have breakfast later than 09:00, as was decided by the woman in charge the last hour to 'report' for breakfast. We tried to negotiate for 09:30.... implacable answer: “No”! Really? Even though breakfast is everywhere from 08:00 to 10:00, at Haus Alpina as well... how insolent is it to constrain your guests to show up for breakfast the latest at 9 a.m. or NO breakfast at all?
In the morning before check-out, we first loaded the luggage into the car. Big mistake! As we went to get the breakfast around 09:30, all the food and drinks were GONE! They said "no breakfast at 09:30", we just didn't believe it. My God, this was an order and we didn't comply! Nevertheless it was paid.... by us. Included in the room price (145 euro per night). Nice!
We found this kind of behavior so mean and somehow pathological, that we didn't claim anything anymore. We just left Haus Alpina with a taste of disgust and disappointment. And since a 3-day stay at Haus Alpina costs around 435 euros (10% genius discount applied in our case), it's fair to let people know what they're spending their money on.

they don't accept children but they have children who scream, cry, make noise from 06:30 every morning
the owners live in the location and do not have a separation of spaces, there is a door that they keep open, the whole guesthouse smells of food and all kinds of strange smells
in turn, mother and son scolded us and yelled at us
they don't have mosquito nets on the windows and because they don't have AC you have to keep the windows open so mosquitoes and other insects enter the room
location of maximum 2 stars
very high price for the location

It was in a wonderful location in a leafy, residential area with parking on site. We had a beautiful balcony with magnificent views over to the lake. Breakfast could be taken indoors or out in the garden. Our hosts were utterly charming, helpful, and informative. The Kaprun card, which we received with our accommodation, was extremely useful and valuable. We went for two trips to different mountains, by cable car and chairlift, a cruise on the lake, and a visit to the Alpine Wildlife Park ALL FOR FREE! A saving of about E200.
A longer stay!

The hosts were very helpful and kind. We felt truly welcomed upon arrival, and we received good tips for activities. After storing our bags for the day, the hosts even offered to bring them to us at the train station so we didn't have to walk back and forth! Overall, we had a pleasant stay there.

very nice people. good-sized room, good breakfast and location was nice.
no tea kettle in the room - that's 15EUR investment that would be appreciated for guests to be able to make tea at anytime...
rooms were little cold - the heating was not on full power, bed mattress bit soft but otherwise was fine.
