They advertise parking but it’s very hard to get parked. Just a drive way you can park one
They advertise a double bed but it’s very small. Can barely fit two people in it. The shower was also terrible - no pressure

Mark and Caz were wonderful hosts. The accommodation was lovely, spacious room, spotlessly clean and breakfast was excellent. Great location in walking distance of the beach and local amenities. Thank you for a lovely stay x

We stayed at the Richmond Bed and Breakfast for the first week of July...
Hadnt been to the Isle Of Wight for a long time, were a little apprehensive as we had booked there last room classed as a small room.. We were met by Mike on our arrival and were welcomed in with a few tips etc... The room was on the small side but we found it had everything we needed, we unpacked and put our bags in the car boot to give us extra room in the B & B.. The room had a double bed, TV kettle and various sockets, it had a few coat hangers on a peg and a little shelf, plues two bedside cabinets and a chest of drawers for all our belongings.. The bathroom was a nice size containing a shower, basin and toilet all ideal for our stay.. The room was light and airy and very comfortable... The parking was not a problem if we were blocked in just a polite chat with the other guests and all was arranged, great option if you have a car as pretty much the whole island is pay & display. The breakfasts were really good, consisting of fruits, yougurts, cereals etc.. then the hot option an excellent full cooked breakfast which if you asked could be changed to suit your needs... The hosts Mark & Caz were fabulous, couldnt do enough for us and were available as and when we needed them.. the house overall was in fantastic condition, all rooms were of freshly decorated and very smart throughout... all in all if you want a wonderful B & B to stay in whilst during your stay on the isle of wight you couldnt go wrong staying here.... we loved it...

Home from Home, was warmly welcomed on arrival, shown to our very large room, everywhere is spotless, room & shower & separate toilet was really really good, comfortable bed & bedding. Mark & Caz was very hospitable and the breakfast each morning was cooked fresh as you come down, and was very tasty, not cheap bacon / sausage etc. Driveway parking was really useful and the location is perfect for Old Shanklin Village or beach. Certainly recommended and will return in the near future.
Not a thing, everything is spot on.

The Richmond was an immaculate bed & breakfast property. It was well situated for walking to bus station, Old Shanklin village, shops and restaurants
Nothing at all
4.5
Cosy room and comfy sleep. The facilities were good, with an excellent breakfast in the morning. Friendly hosts. Great location to access the highstreet.
The only downside was the parking situation. It required some deconfliction with the other guests as to who was leaving first, as the parking was one in front of another. This wasn't a problem for our stay, but if every guest brought a car it could have been more of an issue.

Good location
welcoming friendly staff
Clean and very well presented
fabulous breakfast
all good, the parking guide was a little bossy, but didn’t bother us

excellent location for Shanklin Theatre. Large room and en-suite. Super clean.
The bed was small (standard double) and a little on the hard side. couldn’t see the tv from the bed. Unfortunately didn’t get to have breakfast as we needed to leave at 7.30 for the ferry.

The welcome was good, the rooms were clean and tidy (and sizeable). The breakfast was also very pleasant. The location was ideal for us, near to town and the lift to the beach.

Our room was excellent, space fully, clean + the en-suite was spacious, + very up to date. Mark + his wife, was very helpful with our luggage. The shop’s were very local, + restaurant. We really had a lovely time.

Very friendly, room to a high standard.
Nothing all good, just wished toilet and shower was in one room but that’s a minor detail. It was really excellent.
4.5
Good standard of accommodation and great location
The only reason this was not scored a ten was the shower was very temperamental.

Clean and cosy room. Lovely hosts and close to city center as well as beach. Good quality breakfast which consists of a few hot options (incl. vegitarian) as wells as bread, yoguhrt and breakfast bars.
Shampoo and Shower Gel do not smell great and are in general not very good products. The breakfast could have included at least some fresh fruit. The neighbours children are early risers and often play in the garden in the morning…

The room was lovely and spacious with a comfortable bed and good shower room. The seating area in the room was a nice touch. The location, near the High Street, was great. The beachcombers bar/cafe round the corner was brilliant.
The only disappointing aspect of our week's stay was the breakfast. What we had was nicely cooked but the sausages weren't the best quality. We also had to order it the day before and it was only served between 8.30 and 9.00 each day. We skipped breakfast on a couple of days so we could have a lie- in and went to a cafe for breakfast instead.

The hosts were very friendly.
The house and rooms were exceptional, rooms maintained daily.
The breakfast a good choice, enjoyable. Clean plate daily !
Compared to other B&Bs in the surrounding area. The Richmond was by far the best looking on arrival.
Nothing !

The B&B proprieters were vey friendly and made us feel very welcome in their home.
The breakfast, especially the coffee, was very good.
Nothing seemed too much trouble for them.

Room was very spacious, decorated very nicely and bathroom was the same.
Breakfast ordered on arrival so only took few mins to arrive once in the dining room. Very friendly all round.
There is nothing not to like about this place.

freshly cooked. suited our needs.
Only a suggestion for a KING SIZE bed in the room (4) we stayed in as the room was large enough.
