Restaurant was good as well as the breakfast! Staff was very friendly!
The room booked via booking was difficult to acces with the bed on the second floor and bathroom on the first floor! Finally the manager upgrade us to a better room with more space and not as dangerous as the first room allocated to us!

Very clean , lovely staff great setting
Bar was very cold but then the weather was extremely cold.

It was a quiet location.
The separate buildings. it wasn’t made clear that this was the case, it felt a bit like a holiday camp. It's Ok all the time it isn’t raining! There were stairs just beyond our room, level with the headboard, and I was woken up each morning by people stomping down the stairs by my head. There was no fruit I could eat at breakfast - I can’t eat apple or plum skins. The fruit salad was almost empty each day, contained unpeeled apple slices, and the only other fruit was plums! No bananas, or kiwi. No raw oats, only puffed rice or cornflakes ie box cereals. The breakfast room was crowded, and we almost lost our table while we were at the buffet.
Because there were functions both evenings, we couldn’t use the bar, the parking got full, and we couldn’t eat in the restaurant. Because it’s slightly too far to walk back from town in the dark, we needed to drive so couldn’t drink. if you’re not part of a group, you can feel a bit sidelined.

The hotel was in beautiful grounds with views over the bay. There was even a resident wild boar wandering the gardens. Our room was well-appointed and comfortable. There was lots of choice at the breakfast buffet.
The bar and restaurant were closed. We had been advised that the restaurant was unavailable but not the bar.

The breakfast was excellent. Beds were very comfy. Enjoyed hiring bikes.

The hotel is very well situated with a short walk into St Valery sur Somme. The hotel was interesting and different in that it felt like a series of small buildings rather than a monolithic building. The bed was spacious as was the room with a great view and patio.
We found the reception was very curt. No explanation of where things were and when we complained that we had been given a room with adaptations in the bathroom that we didn't need we were not offered alternatives. Likewise we could not get a table in the restaurant (our fault, we should have booked ahead) but were not offered alternatives.
Unfortunately our stay coincided with a marriage party which did not interfere with our stay particularly but I think the hotel focus was on that party and we felt a bit in the way.

Loved the location. Very pleasant walk along the river into St Valery sur Somme. Nice bar to have a drink in the evening. Breakfast is worth having at EUR15, as you won't get anything cheaper in town.
We had a Standard Triple Room for just the two of us. Downstairs is really quite small. Three people sharing would be very cosy! Upstairs is very warm, you'll need the window open. No fan was provided. The stairs are very steep, so beware if you're a little infirm.

All the facilities that were available, eg. swimming pool was good value for the price. Buffet breakfast had some great selections and staff were helpful.
The twin room was a bit too small: there wasn't enough floor space to open up a double suitcase for a couple. Only room to this for 2x small suitcases. The enquire bathroom could do with a refurb, a bit on the tired side.

Lovely location, great for cycling into Saint Valery Sur Somme.
Disappointed that we couldn’t get a table in the restaurant either night. We were told it was fully booked when we tried to book 3 days before but there was a number of empty tables both nights which was frustrating. This happened when my husband stayed here in June too. It’s a shame when you pay for facilities like this (having a restaurant on site) and they are not actually available.

very noisy at night!

Room was brilliant and location excellent with views of the estuary from the grounds. The swimming pool outdoors was a very welcome feature in hot weather. A relaxed and calm atmosphere about the property and grounds. Reception staff friendly and helpful
Although the breakfast was of a high standard and choice it was a little difficult to navigate around the buffet. Staff although present and filled up items on the buffet if required...they did not however interact with guests. No friendly warm smile or attempt to direct us around the breakfast even though they knew we were there for first time. All we were asked (twice by two different members of staff) was for our room number! That was it! It was a pricey breakfast compared with other properties we stayed at on this trip.

Nothing.
The toilet had an electric fire next to it so I had to sit on the loo sideways!
I had to clamber in to bed because of the sloping roof.
We couldn't work out if this was a hotel or a holiday camp like butlins. Having stayed one night we still have no idea.
There is supposed to be a restaurant but as we did not reserve when we made the booking they said they were full.
The fruit at breakfast was fizzing and we assumed it was off/fermented but the receptionist was not too bothered.

I liked the setting, peaceful, walk to St Valery, breakfast was amazing

The hotel was excellent and I will be staying again.
We were unable to have dinner there despite being told we could. We asked at 18:30 if it would be possible to have dinner and the response was yes it is available from 19:00-22:00, we asked to order at 20:00 and were told it was impossible as we hadn’t booked.

Location was good short walk to town.
Everything was good. Being able to see the views from the window would have been a nice bonus.
7.0
beautiful setting and delicious breakfast
room not as big as the pictures suggest, feels a bit dorm-like, bathroom feels very basic, no fridge in room and staff not accommodating when we arrived
6.0
Quiet location, easy walk to beach and town.
I would score this more highly for a family location, rather than a couple's location. We expected the room to have direct access to its own private garden area, from the marketing photos, which it didn't. This was not a major issue.

Easy to find and within walking distance of the town. Accommodated our bicycles too. Breakfast was splendid

Dinner was exceptional. Breakfast was very good with a great choice.
The wild boar wandering around the grounds.
We had to request a change of room as the first one was too cold, a lack of view from velum windows and no proper shower.

Breakfast was good but a bit overcrowded at the buffet at times, it was half-term so probably busier than when we last went there.
We booked the evening meal and people who arrived after us were served before us and the food was not as tasty as when we 1st used your hotel , which was really sad as i had looked forward to it as a pre-birthday treat.....I think you need a bit more choice for dishes too.

the location is really beautiful overlooking the bay - walking in the gardens at sunset and sunset was very special
Very very poor customer service at our arrival check in - Staff acted like robots rather than humans. "Computer says no" type of attitude that you wouldn't expect in a resort like that. No appreciation of personal circumstances - we were refused access because my son didn't have the correct QR code despite being forthcoming with the issue as we arrived and explaining that there was a problem transferring covid data between the NHS covid App and the French covid App. Assumption is that you are lying.... Tried to show different proofs but as those couldn't be scanned and give the "green light" it was simply NO. We were then sent to the nearest Pharmacy (25 min drive away) to have a Covid test done at 7pm - I decided to do this alone with my son so that my husband and my daughter could just check in while we did that after a long journey - only to be told that they could not give my daughter her room key bc my son (sharing a room with her) had not been able to check in bc of no QR code. Again - assumption is that you are going to try and cheat and not get the test done!! Very very very disappointed with the level of understanding of the staff. We obliged - my daughter having to wait one hour to check in after we came back from the pharmacy. Issue was brought up with manager the next morning as no one was around the night before. It was vaguely appreciated that the room key refusal was a step too far but no apologies and mostly simply stood there quoting the company procedures and processes. Very very frustrated with what seemed a company wide robot behaviour. Will not stay again. and would recommend smaller family run, boutique hotels in the town below as I got great feedback from friends thereafter.
As far as the rooms were concerned the twin room the children had was much smaller than anticipated - everything is little dated too.

Location. Good views
Too crowded, staff stretched. Didn't get bbc world tho advertised and staff couldn't help or even know about it
6.0
nice location and good breakfast
mediocre quality of comfort and service. staff not particularly friendly. not the right balance of price and quality and definitely would not recommend this place
7.0
The rooms are well designed, modern and clean. The location is superb by the sea and plenty of space
The breakfast was chaotic. Not enough staff to prepare the table, jam on the floor and access to the food in one corner of the room making it difficult to get anything. I gave up making toast. Also it is the second time I come here and the restaurant is alway fully booked which means you have to drive to town for dinner.

the room was ice and cosy and the facilities (garden, swimming pool) are great. The hotel situation is perfect.
the stairs close to the room were very noisy. the restaurant has room for improvement
