Die herzliche und familiäre Art des Personals.
Es wurde sich dort super um und gekümmert.
Das wir die Insel verlassen mussten.

Staying at Wooden Hut was like camping out in a Botanic Garden, surrounded by beautiful plants.
The food was very good, perhaps the best we tried on the island, I especially liked the pineapple pancake for breakfast and also the pineapple shakes... any time!
Thalay the manager is very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
We rented scooters for 250baht per day and were only minutes away from the best beaches on the island.
We have no complaints.
Our cabin had 2 rooms and a deck and luckily we didn't have to worry about noise, which would be an issue if strangers were in the adjoining room.

From the moment I arrived at Wooden Huts in Koh Kood, I understood why it boasts a
9.5 rating on Booking.com. The heart and soul of this place are its owners, Thalay and La, along with their incredible staff. They are not just hosts; they make you feel like part of a family with their exceptional hospitality.
The huts, crafted with an array of reclaimed materials, offer a unique and eco-friendly charm. My hut was equipped with all the essentials – air conditioning, a basic yet functional bathroom, a fridge, and a remarkably comfortable bed. But the real highlight was the veranda with a hammock, overlooking the lush garden – a perfect spot for relaxation.
Dining here is an experience in itself. La's skill in the kitchen, using freshly picked produce from their garden, ensures every meal is a delight. The tom yum and green curry are must-tries, bursting with flavor and authenticity. The morning shakes, loaded with fresh fruit, were a refreshing start to my day.
Thalay's kindness extended to personally driving me to various beaches throughout my week's stay, adding a personal touch that you rarely find elsewhere.
Staying at the Wooden Huts is more than just accommodation; it's an experience that stays with you. It’s a place where you arrive as a guest and leave as family. I’m anticipating my next visit to this little paradise and I only left this morning.

Jungle, relaxing and homey. Staff were friendly and helpful and gave us discounted scooter rental which is available on site with a selection of helmets.
We loved the hammock on the balcony and also that the staff were happy to organise our trip back to Bangkok whilst we went out to enjoy our time in Koh Kood
Our room (B) was near the road and you could sometimes hear the road traffic. There was also frogs ribbetting all night from the pond that was right outside, which is part of the jungle experience but you may need earplugs if it disturbs your sleep.

Rien !

I feel like stay at my brother or sister home as staffs here are very warm welcome and support. I not feel lonely here. The room is clean and I love sleep in the hammock during the day with slowly wind and listen the music. In the afternoon, you could rent a motorcycle that hotel provided to discover the island, play kayak, go to the waterfall and walking at the beach.

Wooden hut is one of the best places where I’d stayed, with perfect location, delicious food , beautiful atmosphere and pure vibes. It’s place built with love.
Thailay and La are so nice, talented and helpful. They helped us so much, for example, because we couldn’t drive motorbikes, they once drove us to the waterfall and picked us up in the evening, thanks to them, I managed to go to the bank and got the money exchanged, they also helped us to book the ferry back to Bangkok, besides they cooked so well, I love Fruits with yogurt and pad Thai;) You must give it a try!
Thank you, Thailay! Thank you, La! Thank you, Wooden hut! Hopefully I would come back! 🧚♀️🏠💞

From the comfy hammock on the balcony, you can gaze for hours at the beautiful garden while listening to the birds and ghekkoes. The staff are great, speak excellent English and prepare delicious made-to-order meals. The cafe/chill area is designed in a wonderfully quirky manner.
The wall between the bungalows is paper thin.

A great stay, spacious clean room with with a very comfy bed and a lovely balcony with a hammock overlooking the garden! location was good, a 5 min journey on a motorbike (which can be rented from here) to Siam/Bang Bao beach. Fantastic onsite restaurant which made the whole stay easy. Friendly and helpful owner. We would happily stay here again!

Warm and friendly hosts, comfortable room, beautiful restaurant and gardens and delicious food. Thalay makes sure you have everything you need and makes you feel so at home. They have scooters to hire to access the many nearby beaches and suggest lots of good places to go. They also have filter water to encourage using refillable bottles

Wooden Hut is wonderful homestay in an excellent location for exploring the island. I was due to stay for 7 nights but I was made to feel so welcome by the lovely guys who run Wooden Hut that I extended my stay for 16 nights!! I had a standard bungalow in their amazing garden, right on the edge of the jungle which was perfect for unwinding, especially in the hammock! The accommodation is basic but had comfortable beds, was very clean and had very good showers with hot water.
The food was incredible and when I wanted a specific Thai dish that wasn't on the menu (Morning Glory) they would go out especially and gather the ingredients to make it especially for me. This was the wonderful Thai hospitality I have come to love and respect so much. There are plenty of places to eat on the island but I was so impressed with the food that I ate here most nights. It was also cheaper than most other places I ate at as well.
There isn't much transport in terms of taxis so hiring a motorbike is the best way to get around and there are plenty to rent at the accommodation for 250 Baht per day. The roads are very quiet compared to other places in Thailand which makes driving around the Island very enjoyable. Wooden Hut is in the perfect spot to explore and within walking distance of some of the islands best beaches.
Nothing is too much trouble and they will be more than happy to organise any activities you might want to do along with tickets back to the main land or other islands.
Couldn't recommend this place enough and will definitely return. :)

Horrible customer experience.
1.the rooms are definitely too basic and absolute poor value for money. with the same price you can get much better. they are so dirty, we found animal’s poop on the floor, disgusting
2. breakfast menu is poor and very expensive compared with the Thai standards. each morning we asked for more jam as the bring only one super small portion poor quality btw)
3.we checked out 2 days in advance, they made us pay both nights despite the cancellation fee is limited to one night only. no chance to discuss it and poor support from booking.com so far
4. they promised one day scooter rent for free, it never occurred. it was not due, but overpromising is the worst thing you can do with customers
5. they don’t support with the transfer to get to wooden hut, other stays do. it is a big minus as transfers in the island are overpriced

Amazing place with chill atmosphere. The bungalows are in beautiful natural garden. The owners are super friendly, cool and helpful so you don't have to worry about anything. And you can rent scooters here so... Also the food is very good and with better prices compared to most of the places on the island. And in the evening you can grab some beers and chill out at the bar. Room was nice and clean. Overall 10/10 experience

The location is great. Quiet, hidden in the jungle and surrounded by a tropical garden. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxing. Talay and his team make you feel very welcome, serve excellent thai and western food. The wooden hut itself is basic, complete, clean and good value for money. Try the 'catch of the day' fish!
The bed was a bit too hard for our taste but despite that we slept like babies.

We had a wonderful stay at wooden hut, everything from the accomadation to the service at the restaurant/bar was perfect, Great service allround.
