location and beautiful views! the breakfast was good and the breakfast staff was the absolute best! very kind.

bed was a bit hard. there were clumps of hair and dead insects on the bathroom floor when we checked in. there is no receptionist, so communication and attentive service is lacking.

This was the most beautiful hotel on the island. The location is perfect and the breakfast was exceptional. The restaurant in the hotel is the best on the island for food and sunset. Marco and the staff are wonderful!

Nice staff. VERY outdated room

The staff was nice. The Wi-Fi works ok.

The room we got is not nothing like shown in the photos of a superior room (the type we booked). The room and the hotel, in general, is very very outdated. This is not shown in photos and creates expectations that are not fulfilled at all. It is a VERY expensive room for the way it is presented and preserved.

Hotel Umberto Ischia

Good location - central to main town with great views across the bay.

Room was very small / shower was tiny. Allocated sun-beds were on the back row and in the shade. No safe in room . Fridge was balanced on a single brick and wobbled. Manager, Marco was very unhelpful. No buffet at breakfast due to Covid which was understandable, but no menu either. Waiter simply asked ‘what would you like’? We will not be returning to this hotel.

Very relaxing stay. Probably will come again just to relax and swim and read for a couple of days.

The breakfast is excellent with a variety of fresh fruit, different sorts of bread and cake, marmelade, cheese, sausage. The restaurant in the hotel is very good as well. The hotel itself is overlooking the bay and every room has a view on the sea with it`s own balcony or terrace. The hotel has it`s own jetty from were you can access the sea or lie in the sun on a couple of ares and relax.
