We had a wonderful week hanging out by the lake with beautiful views in every direction. There are lots of spots around the property to sit and enjoy the lake and the river that feeds into it. The cottage had everything we need, though wish the stove was easier to use. We hope to come back!

Our 3rd time staying at this cottage. We appreciate the hospitality of the owners. The location is beautiful and peaceful on the mouth of the river and Gull Lake. Minden is nearby for visiting and necessities. We love Kawartha Dairy in town!

The surrounding were beautiful and the accommodations were rustic but had every thing needed for comfortable stayl. We were traveling with two adult daughters and everyone felt this was the nicest cottage/surrounding we have ever stayed. The hosts were nearby if any problems occurred and were very friendly. Highly recommended.

This is my 2nd year at the cottage and it is a little gem. Close to Minden centre, very well equipped, very clean and comfortable. I hope to return again next year as the hosts are wonderful people who make you feel like family.

This is a true cottage but with a few modern amenities (love having a dishwasher). The cleanliness is amazing. There is clearly pride of ownership with this property. The owners also have a cottage on the property and we're able to make a number of helpful suggestions for the area. It was a pleasure meeting and staying with Penny and Murray.

Nice, clean rustic cottage with lovely views of Gull Lake and River, with comfortable bed, linens and towels provided. Short drive to Minden. Enjoyed our stay!

Perfect getaway for a maximum of 4 adults. Wonderful vistas and privacy. Well equipped kitchen with everything you would need. Great breezes and the cottage never felt too warm. The two small bedrooms were a bit cluttered with personal memorabilia and could use a refresh, but overall a great spot and would book again without hesitation.

Cottage- very comfortable and well stocked
— we were glad that we could take our dog
Beach— partial sand but mostly stones
— the water was clean and beautiful
— major fishing spot
— steps down to cottage from parking area should be made more accessible

Had a very nice stay at this property. Unfortunately the hosts are quite unreasonable- attempting to charge an excessive amount for "damage". Now left to dispute the claims. Traveler beware.

My family and I have been renting cottages for many years and this is the only cottage we have gone back to. The position of the cottage beside the river and on the lake is second to none and makes for fantastic swimming and floating in the river. Penny and Murray are fantastic hosts and provide a wonderful history of the lake and surrounding area. The cottage is a ten minute drive to minden so very convenient to all shops and grocery stores etc. I would highly recommend Gordon's place and we will look forward to coming back again and again.

It’s our 2nd summer stay at the cottage. We love it there. It’s so peaceful and restful. The hosts are so hospitable and helpful. The cottage has a rustic, vintage feel which is fun. You have everything you need. The views are absolutely beautiful! Recommend bringing water shoes for water activities. Minden is a lovely town with some great shops. Kawartha Dairy is a must visit. Their ice-cream is the best ever!!! We tried the brewery restaurant/cafe in town and enjoyed fish and chips and one of their beers. I bring my Keurig. Coffee machine is there but it’s just my personal preference. I don’t think I would recommend this cottage for families with very young children because of the steps to the cottage and then down to the lake. We love it there and heartily recommend it.

A beautiful location at the confluence of Gull River and Gull Lake. The cottage is very comfortable, and the breezes off the lake flowing through the windows were lovely. We enjoyed all the amenities - canoe, paddleboat, dock, and the swimming was great! Hope to return next year.
