Characterful if small cottage with a good location in the old town of Hastings. Very easy communication and getting access to the cottage. We stayed five nights and really enjoyed it. The stairs are undeniably steep and some might find things a bit cramped, especially in the bathroom, but the bed was very comfortable and the heating efficient. All in all, a very pleasant stay - plus the pub over the road is great.

Good location for Jack in the Green.
The stairs! Very steep and low ceilings.

Location was very central in the Old Town.
Hastings is very easy to get around with a wide selection of shops and restaurants.
We couldn’t find any egg cups!
Also if you have a car you have to be prepared to pay up to £9.50 for 24 hours parking.

Location was great
Need a television in the bedroom

Excellent location, high standard of comfort and cleanliness
Very cramped stair up to bedroom. Glad I was not sharing this property with another person

A wonderful place to stay in the heart of the Hastings Old Town. Fully equipped kitchen and spotless clean. Good quality bed linen and towels, couldn’t fault the place. can’t wait to come back!
The other residents bins are not secure from the foxes. They made a mess everywhere in the ally pretty much every night.

Good location. Lovely and clean. Very comfortable bed. Good shower.
Going up the steps with bulky luggage (in this instance, musical instruments in travel cases) was quite tricky. Also didn't realise just how difficult the stairs were, going up to the bedroom , - 'climbing' the stairs was appropriate as there is very little headroom. I am short, but I went upstairs as if literally climbing, and had to come down sideways. Tall people, and those who are less flexible, be warned!

very pleased with location. we booked with hotel .com they didnt send key code.

The location is perfect for exploring Hastings. The building is very quaint and sensitively upgraded for accommodation. Only 20 minutes from train station.
It was dark when I arrived and difficult to find bearings in the dark by the key safe. If there were a small sensor light at the door of the accommodation that might help. I managed with the torch from my phone but might have struggled without it. Otherwise, everything was perfect - even the tricky stairs!

it was very quaint and spotless

This sweet little place is in the perfect location in Hastings-- on the elegant High Street, steps from all of the cafes and antique shops of George Street, in the heart of Old Town.
I wish my stay had been longer!!! :))) (that was on me, for only booking a week-- it was hard to leave!!)

Great position above High St
Very clean and cosy
Interesting features
Well equipped
We had trouble finding it perhaps Old Town Bolthole name could be on side gate? Then arrow to indicate stairs - at first I ended up in back garden of 104 at end of passageway!
Also we just about managed tiny staircase and low ceilings but would not be suitable for some.

Everything met our expectations, spotlessly clean, all the things we needed for our stay were supplied. Jacqui who I dealt with about our stay was fantastic, bed and pillows amazing, cannot fault anything.
The only thing that might bother other people is the noise sometimes at night but this didn't really bother us

Unusual and attractively converted flat in Hastings Old Town fabulous location and well equipped. Very cosy and warm
This property would be unsuitable for anyone with a disability. It has difficult narrow stairs. It is an old property and this is part of its charm

Clean and really nicely done up, comfy bed, excellent location - beautiful part of town. Plenty of extra helpful info around covid was v reassuring
Ceilings are so low! The instructions about entry could be clearer too - you need to turn back on yourself to go up the stairs not just turn right as instructed. Could have done with more info about the parking - the link they sent didn’t work and £9 a day was a bit of a nasty surprise.
