Great family stay with beach access. We really enjoyed our trip!

This is our second time staying here with our family. It's a great place to chill with everyone. Waldport isn't nearly as busy as most coastal towns so it's not so overwhelming but close to everything and has great little shopping places. The little path to the beach is pretty accessible to everyone. Some of us are older and have bad knees and it wasn't an issue. The privacy of it is amazing. It's so green and many trees with a view of the ocean. You don't really hear a lot of traffic noise from hwy 101 and the neighbors are not right on top of you, which is hard to find on the coast. This is by far our favorite spot to stay!

The house was wonderful and had everything we needed. Lots of space and plenty of beds and bathrooms. Was in a quiet setting with a little beach view. We would come stay again!

Loved this place so much! The trail to the beach was magical🤩 had amazing quality time with my family❤️
Owner was so awesome and on top of things! Had a problem with the propane tank and they had someone sent over to replace it in less than 10 minutes. First time in Waldport and it was the best beach house experience we’ve ever had!

The Ocean Rose is a clean, comfortable house with a lovely ocean view. The beds are comfortable & the house layout was nice for 4 adults. The close beach access made it get to the ocean for a walk. The house is as described, however it’s actually much nicer than the pictures show. We would stay here again!

Our family of 8, ranging in age from 61 to less than a year was so happy in this home!! Except for only one working jet in the jacuzzi, we were content and cozy inside this updated 3 bedroom, 3 bath with bunkbeds, large kitchen, drop zone, working wood burning fireplace, view of the coast and I could go on! The path to the beach is pretty nice and access to shops and groceries was just down the road. There was great communication with the homeowner too. Recommend!

We had a nice stay at the ocean rose. There were a couple things that came up that we reported on the app and didn’t hear back.
Overall it was a pleasant place to stay. Very close to the beach. The instructions to the beach aren’t great, I think it should be said to go down the other driveway and you’ll run right into the path!

We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again! Only wish is more privacy- easily remedied by some different curtains and a privacy hedge to the left of the back years to block the sounds of the . GREAT view of the ocean, could hear the waves when the back door is opened. Loved the wood burning stove and the quick walk to the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay. House was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. Location was great, nice view of ocean from large glass windows in living room. Definitely recommended!

Property was a little older and perfect size for us. Close walk to the beach although access was a little odd, but easy to get to. We enjoyed our stay.

Very peaceful and serene. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend to anyone headed to the coast. I had a wonderful time and hope to be back soon. Easy to get to the beach and navigate into town.

The area was further south than we usually travel. Beautiful! Nice to have space for everyone to spread out. Good water pressure and furnace. Weather windy & cold at first, but when it got nice we loved the beach. Internet very spotty, one of our party had an emergency work assignment and periodically could not connect to get it completed. WE COULD NOT LOCATE THE SEMI-PRIVATE HIDDEN PATH TO BEACH. Very hidden!
Loved the hot tub, note the padlock is rusted and doesn't secure the cover.
We ended up not attending the local fireworks display, because the crowd seemed a little rowdy for us, and possibly not as diversity loving, so we were more comfortable staying in. Could use an extra loveseat as the 2 armchairs are a little thin and uncomfy. Beds very comfortable! A great deck to hang out on when sun is out. One of the better stays we've had.

Lovely home. Very clean.
Nicely decorated. Great jacuzzi.
Well stocked kitchen.
Short 5 minute walk to gorgeous beach by way of a hidden path.

The floors were dirty, deck and hot tub hadn’t been cleaned off, dishwasher door broken. Overpriced.

Cottage house close to the beach
My family enjoyed staying here with the beach access about 3 mins away. The house was clean but could use updated furniture for the price you pay. The fees were a little too much especially when you are charged for the jacuzzi you did not use. Nevertheless, we had fun hiking in the trails and seeing all the attractions.

Great place, better than the pictures show.
We very much enjoyed our stay here! A short walk to the beautiful, sandy, private and quiet beach.
It is indeed a hidden gem.
The hot tub on the back deck was wonderful, plenty of room at the table for meals, the layout of the home was great for privacy.
The kitchen was well stocked.

too short of a trip
don't let first impressions fool you; the inside and backyard are much nicer than what you first pull up to this was a great property for our group (5 adults, 2 kids). nice layout. easy walk to the beach, plus 10 seconds from Patterson State Park which has really easy beach access. the hot tub was a nice bonus. well-stocked kitchen. comfortable beds. the weather turned out great and we did not want to leave.

Nice Place
Just off the road but can't hear any road noise. Comfortable furniture, close to the beach. Little to no service most of the time, so make sure you know how to get in the house before you get there.

Trip with adult kids
The property is clean, great bedroom, bathroom set up, plenty of room . The view if the beach is great, walk to the beach on the path from the property is confusing . Good location for day trip up & down the coast

Spring Break 2022
Bedroom needs black outs or drapes - kids loved the Hot Tub but the Adults would not get in and made sure the kids showered before and after use -
and bar soap would be nice instead of body wash
But other than that we had a great time

Great house on the coast
Even though the weather was rainy windy and cold (It's was winter, after all!) we all enjoyed the property. Our initial view of the home was as we parked, and looked thru the kitchen window to a beautiful sunset on the other side of the dining room. We would have liked to have a few sticks of firewood to use in there wood burning stove, though. The spa was warm, and inviting, and we used it every night. We also had a visit from a pair of deer as we were preparing to leave not he last days.

Very clean
We are very pleased with this house! So clean and so cozy!!! Love the hot tub, but only 2 jets work at a time which was a bummer. Well stocked and perfect room for a family of 7. We are wanting to book this home again! Thanks for the great time!

Perfect place for a getaway!
The place doesn't look like much on from the front, but the I side is clean and well taken care of. They had everything we needed in the kitchen, plenty of towels for showers and the hot tub, hotel sized toiletries in each of the bathrooms, and the welcome gift was nice. We loved being able to see the beach from inside the house and the beach access was easy to get to. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice place, great view
Pros:
This place is a great value. It's pretty big and rather private.
Inside and backyard are the stars of this place. It is close to town.
The view is nice. The hot tub is a big plus.
The fireplace was a nice touch. Protip, duraflame logs work best. Regular wood is just more difficult to light.
The coffee shop next door is super convenient. Dollar General and Hi Skool pharmacy in town too. Fresco Mexican restaurant in town was great too. The carne asada is recommended. To go pina coladas was a nice bonus.
Cons:
At the time of this stay (November '21) the covid related labor shortage the restaurants in town were not open or closing early.
When we arrived to the place the dryer was overloaded with sheets and towels and they did not dry completely.
The dishwasher is just kinda yucky. It should be cleaned well or replaced. It doesn't clean the dishes very well.
The lock to the hot tub is rusting and really difficult to remove and replace.
Getting to the beach from the house is a bit confusing. We meandered around in the rain and ended up taking a longer route. On day 2 we just drove down the street (South on 101) to the nearby park. It was easier and faster.
One or two of the frying pans really should be replaced. A nicer nonstick pan and/or a square pan for pancakes/french toast would be helpful.
A newer TV would really help. The current one's Roku interface is running slowly. A TV in the master would also be a big improvement.

Nice view of the ocean!
Lots of bedrooms and space, great area to socialize while cooking. Could use more entertainment. Only ONE small TV in living room. None in bedrooms. Kitchen was not very well stocked for cooking/baking. Hot tub could use better maintenance and be updated. Otherwise, it was a great stay for a few adults to gather.

Nice mid week getaway with friends
Great location for visiting the Oregon coast. Proximity to the beach is great. We didn't use the hot due to weather but it was large and very nice. House was clean and ready when we arrived. It is in need of a little love. We had burned out light bulbs in the bathroom, non working surface light on the microwave, broken water dispenser in the fridge. Nothing that would effect the visit, but I would think the cleaning staff would notice and replace bulbs.

Awesome spot to chill and enjoy the ocean
While this spot is really close to drive to lots of hiking, restaurants and touristy stuff, it’s also ideal for just hanging at the beach or in the amazing hot tub. We spent the days at the beach and the evenings chilling out in the hot tub. Kitchen is equipped nicely for cooking all your meals, just bring your food, seasonings and oil. The coffee shop just next door makes incredible lattes as well and has lots of breakfast goodies. We loved it here; this was our second visit and likely won’t be our last!

This property has a lovely backyard which was great for little ones to run and play. You could comfortably sit on the deck and watch the gorgeous sunsets. Lots od wildlife around, chipmunks, rabbits and deer all in the yard. The house itself had obviously been remodeled and was so cute. For a long stay I would love more storage space but it worked well for a long weekend trip. Love the layout and a bathroom for each bedroom was a huge plus. Unfortunately the filtered water feature on the refrigerator was broken but nothing that a trip to the market for bottled water couldn't cure. If you do not like firm beds this may not be a place for you. I would bring a foam pad if we stay again for my back. Overall, this was a great place to stay and we may do it again. Thank you for such a cute place.

Ocean Rose
We enjoyed our stay.. Thought the extra fees were excessive..

It's a great property (gushing below), but I've got to get this off of my chest. The actual rate we paid for the property was *60% higher* than the rate shown as the VRBO daily rate because of add-on fees: hot tub (which we didn't even use), cleaning fee, administrative fee, service fee, and taxes. This verges on criminal. (Vent complete.)The property was very clean and, for the most part, well maintained. It was comfortable, both the furniture and its overall decor. There is a nice selection of kitchenware and tableware. One of the small things we really appreciated (I'm not sure if it's by design or because of previous renters) was that most of the day-to-day household supplies (laundry soap, coffee filters, salt and pepper, bath soap and shampoo, sponges, dish soap, sponges, etc.) were provided; we didn't have to go out and buy $25 of stuff we'd use $1 of.There is lots of space and many beds -- a great place for a large family get together. There are three bedrooms with a king- or queen-bed, and a couple of rooms have additional twin beds or bunk beds. Two of the three bedrooms have their own bathroom, and the third bedroom has a bath next to it.This is more a family house than a party house. The owners have clearly invested in nicer tableware, appliances, bedding, etc., and I'm sure they'd appreciate (and even expect) renters treating it nicely. The view out the back of the house is very nice. You look out over an open space (about 20 yards wide and 100 yards long) to the ocean. You can't access the beach directly from the house, but there are two good ways to get there via a neighborhood path or by a short walk to the nearby State Park. There appear to be drainage issues with the house. The master bath shower drained so slowly it really couldn't be used. There are notices all around the house telling you not to put foreign materials in the toilets and not to shower off sand inside (and threatening to charge you if you do these things). It would be nice if the owners could just fix the problem. My only other issue is the property's proximity to Highway 101. It's a hundred yards or so from the house to the highway, but there is still a fair amount of highway noise you can hear in all three bedrooms. We would rent this property again, particularly, as I said above, with a larger group.
