Great classic hotel, very comfortable.

The room was very quiet and comfortable with lovely high ceilings. It was at the back and facing the pool area which kept the street noise down. In-room furniture was very comfortable. It’s a well renovated 1940’s hotel with a vintage design theme.

We understand it’s the low time of year with few guests, but the breakfast buffet was quite random. One day average, one day no buffet???, one day excellent. Service was also hit and miss. We had examples of good service, but more often service was disinterested or distracted.

Exceptional hotel, Exceptional food,Exceptional staff.

We have been travelling Thailand and Vietnam for 3.5 weeks and have stayed in lovely hotels but this was by far the most exceptional. it’s a beautiful place, decor really nice. Everything spotlessly clean. Staff absolutely exceptional. From Porter to receptionists to bar staff, restaurant staff and manager. We were looked after so well-a genuine warmth in everyone working here. We had the most delicious meal in the restaurant-it is expensive relatively speaking in Vietnam but it was so worth the extra money spent. it was haute cuisine. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough. We do hope to come back to Vietnam and we would make a trip to Haiphong just to stay here.

Very helpful reception staff went out of their way to accommodate. Gorgeous pool area. Loved the hotel bar and their high end speakers. Best cocktails.

Old bed creaked to every movement so sleep was hit and miss. Nothing to do with the hotel but crossing the street in Cat Bi is a risky business.

Great place.

Wonderfully helpful staff (Thomas especially) who aided booking whatever we needed. Excellent location, near cafes, restaurants and 10 minutes from the train station. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of dishes.

In general, it's over price. Especially pick up cost from Airport is too much , USD 15, which is kind of scam considering the distance , time of driving.

Location was good for the city centre, staff were very helpful and the hotel was beautifully decorated.

Loud noise coming right through from outside windows.

a very comfortable stay, made better by exceptional staff

the staff were amazing. particular praise to Thomas, who helped us book a halong bay cruise at short notice. he also helped with a misunderstanding with the taxi driver the day after we had checked out. very pleased.

Great option on Hai Phong. it's got personality and style. the staff really tried their best. the area around it is quite pretty and great location. was perfect place to prepare for our wedding, the team of bridesmaids and my bride made full use of the suite to get ready. also perfect place to unwind after the big event. we booked extra nights ad hoc because we enjoyed it.

breakfast buffet could be a bit more exciting and fresher but with great street food breakfast outside that wasn't a problem

Great stay, clean hotel, service minded personel. Great value for money!

Great breakfast , nice coffee, very polite and frendly personal; nice clean airconditioned rooms. Defeniely worth to return back and choose the same hotel again!
