The place isn't clean at all. The stuff are rude and not accommodating. They don't even provide the bare minimum like toothbrush and hotel slippers.

A good hotel, better than expected in Kolkata. Careful what they charge

Very nice rooms. Large and well equipped. Nice area with many shops around.

Careful: They charged me more than I was supposed to pay with my booking. I booked for around 3500 including tax and they charged 4000 for unknown reasons.

they made extra charge which was unexpected. my booking was 5 persons of 2 rooms for 2 adults 3 children

SHOPPAHOLICS FAV....

Not the first time in this hotel. The place is fantastic..All the Shopping Malls, New Market Area, Chourongi City Center - Everything is Stone-Throw distance. Hundreds of Eateries around. Nothing More a Shoppahoolc can ask from this area and hence Lytton is important.

Its a older Hotel with Not Much Rennovation work have been.done. Kolkata is growing. Hence New Hotels and Better Facilities coming up in the door. Lytton Might miss out. In Room Cleanliless Must be a thing to be looked into. Specially Sofa and Bed Sheets.

Very Very disappointing

We went for breakfast and my friend wants bread that is not in the table, when we asking for it they says that they will brings it after prepare. When they served it we fiund all the breads are expired and full of fungus and smelly, not only that they havr two types of juices in the jug, mango and apple that looks few days old. Even the tap of apple jug not working. Staff are very rude not even greet any guest. We informed reception even they lief to us. They told us they already replaced staff but we found in next morning same staff. No mannetd no respect for hotel guest. I never seen this in my life like this. Very very disappointing.

Better service and more proffessional attitide from staff. Kitche staff need to be trained snd understand howbto make happy to their guest.

Regular guest for 25 years

The Lytton offers a welcoming and safe environment with central location. I've stayed couple dozen times over 25 years and never disappointed. New staff at reception compared to pre-pandemic, but they seem to carry on the friendly service I know.

They have satellite TV, but channels a foreigner might like to watch (BBC, CNN) are behind a pay wall. France24 is free, or guests can use internet to stream another channel. Also, I'd like to see more reasonable beer pricing in their Sunset bar.

In the centre of the tourist area being most important

Fair but basic, for Asians enough choice, for Westerners just enough

supply of bread alikes, no milk, curd, yoghurt etc
