The location is near quite a nice beach, though the island has much nicer ones whoch you need to walk quite a while or need a scooter to reach. Good location to explore most places around the island.
Although one of the cheaper places on the island, compared to what you get, it was one of the worst deals i have had tbh. Dont really understand all the good reviews.
The standard is like the most basic bungalow (semi clean, super weak water pressure, old uncomfortable matress, nothing is well maintained be it inside or outside), but because it is not freestanding like a bungalow, it gets incredibly hot and with only the fan even at night its nearly impossible to create a bearable temperature (i stayed in many budget fan bungalows before and never had this problem).
if you would pay extra to use the aircon you will have many options of better places for the same money on this island, so thats not woth it for the money.
Regarding the owners. Not to sound unempathetic, but its not the nices feeling, to be constantly told that the job is too much for them, we ended up feeling like a burden just asking for a water refill.
And while both were super nice at first, chris turned out to behave a bit weird in the end. Making a simple change in reservation more complicated than i ever experienced before.
twice he came to us and just turned the lights off infront of the rooms while we were quietly sitting there in the evening, without saying much about it and of course we did not want to sit in the dark...
one of those times we then wanted to switch down to chor chaba as it was advertised to be open to chill at 24h a day. But the place was closed with the gates and all lights turned off. This was at 9pm so a really normal time to be awake still i would say.
Just to name some of the weird behaviors we and other guests have encountered...we ended up feeling really uncomfortable there mostly for social reasons, not even only the room itself.
Also eventhough laundry was advertised to cost 60B/kg (same price as most places in the island) we ended up paying 70B without explanation. Waterrefill costs 10B. We got the feeling they tried to make an extra bug whereever they could.

Great location, the beach is just across the road and there are several food options available in immediate proximity. Chris is very kind and helpful and organized us the ferry back to Trat. It was nice to have a room. With private bathroom, which was clean. Room service on demand.
The rooms (especially the beds) are unfortunately not comfortable and it is difficult to settle down. All the shelfs crooked, so things will fall off. It is unfortunate, but tolerable that water refills cost 10 Bahts. Some of the neighborhood dogs can be quite noisy at night, so make sure to bring earplugs. Overall the price is okay.

Very nice Guesthouse, you can rent a scooter from them, the price and location is very good👍
I would recommend staying there
You can hear your neighbor very clear, but it was quite at night.

Great place to stay! We stayed here for 7 days and loved it. Just a short walk to multiple beautiful beaches. You can rent a motorbike from here to go out and explore. There’s also a restaurant here with really good and affordable food made with love by Cherry. The owner Chris is very knowledgeable and was very helpful with activities around the island as well as helping us plan our ongoing trip to Cambodia! Thanks again Chris for everything! We will definitely be back on our next visit to Koh Kood.
No complaints!

Very welcoming and friendly owners, felt looked after the whole time and food was also really good (homemade by the wife, Sherry). The free pool table and restaurant downstairs is great as don’t have to go elsewhere to eat/ drink if you don’t want to. The location is right next to two beaches and only 5-10 mins driving instance in other lovely beaches and a waterfall. Beds were comfy. Would definitely stay there again if we were to go back to Koh Kood! Also scooters to hire from here 👌🏼
nothing :)

Like a home away from home! Mint, Chris and Mike are incredibly welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and give you information about the island. Communication prior to arrival was also excellent. The room is quite basic, but is everything you need - comfortable bed, hot water, great location on the island and is a great price. The accommodation is connected to a dive shop and they offer bike rentals, which was an added bonus for me. Thanks for everything guys, I'll definitely stay again when I go back to Koh Kood and have already recommended it to friends! :)

The owner of this guesthouse are fantastic hosts. They are very nice and accomodating. Everything was perfect, rooms are good and close to the beach. The property is surrounded by trees and greenery. If we return to koh kood again, we will stay here again. Would recommend to everyone

Location is not far from the beach, you can even walk, but motorbike is better. Few options to eat nearby. Sherry is very nice host and helpful. We stayed in the budget room, so nothing fancy, but it was clean and for that money it was great.
