Tasty breakfast, friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful location. Enjoyed the Masai dance entertainment.
Hot food wasn’t always hot.

Meget venligt, imødekommende og hjælpsomt personale.

I loved literally everything about Masai Lodge. It is a perfect getaway for a quiet, serene environment overlooking the Nairobi National Park.
I loved it!

Could look out at a waterhole. Food was excellent.
We had an instance where we ordered drinks & the staff delivering them spilt one of them all over the trousers of my boyfriend who had to go & change. We went straight to the room. Then they brought us another one to the room. As I opened the door, I advised the member of staff we expected that to be on the house. The next day, my boyfriend was expected to sign to pay for both of them. He refused to sign. I said we wouldn’t be paying for either and that we could have presented the bill to them for washing the trousers & briefs which he had washed himself. I asked to speak to a Manager but was advised that wasn’t necessary. The next morning a Manager came to me at breakfast, expecting that the one drink was paid for, I said we would then present them for a bill for washing or to deduct the cost of this from the drinks, then advised her that the difference should be waived in view of the circumstances. She then said she ‘understood’ & agreed to waive it. Not a pleasant experience. Also the buffet breakfast we had paid for didn’t go ahead as guests were low in numbers so we were served ‘a la carte’. I thought this meant we would choose what we wanted to eat but a plate of fruit/yoghurt came out each morning without being asked what we wanted because some food on there I didn’t like so had to ask for what I wanted instead.

We had such a great stay and all the staff were all so lovely! We travelled with our 2 year old and everyone was so kind and welcoming to us making our stay extra special!
Sadly the road was very bad on the route to the hotel but I understand this is part of the park so sadly this can not be managed by the hotel.

The people who work at the Masaai Lodge are a real asset to the place. They were always welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was not the best and as you are so far away from anywhere else ( which is what we were looking for) it was hard but they made sure we were happy and we can recomend the pizza. Breakfast was brilliant and on our departure date they even gave us a packed breakfast as we had a very early departure. It is very good value for money, in the national park surrounded by animals. When you choose to stay here, you are choosing the location and it is far form anything else. That is why we loved it.
Great facilities and comfortable rooms. Thank you Masaai Lodge it was a wonderful 5 days.

Location is lovely - you feel very much in the park.
If you’re looking for a remote, tranquil and peaceful stay it’s a great place, but if you’re looking to come back and forth to the accomadation during the day while you explore Nairobi it’s quite far out.

Fabulous location . Great views and facilities.
We stayed whilst there was a conference on so felt a little pushed to one side at mealtimes. Also the restaurant lighting was gloomy. Could have been more cheerful. Candles on table would have been good.

the cottage was AMAZING. beautiful rooms with big, comfy beds and the most spectacular view from the balcony, where you could view all kinds of animals in the National park. also monkeys were all over the place, it was really nice and unique.
the ala carte menu did not have many different options and the transportation around is a bit expensive, because the lodge has to transport you - Uber doesn’t operate out there because of the roads. however is really wasn’t a big deal for us, in total it was a great stay and very recommendable.

Loved the food, the room had a really good park view. The staff were fantastic and very attentive. Great rendition of the happy birthday song from the kitchen staff and maasai prayers made our occasion special so kudos for that. Always nice when hyraxes come to visit

The location and the friendliness of everyone working there
The road there, a bit rough, not hotels fault

overlooking the national park and the city into the distance, the scenery here is heaven :)
The drive to the place is quite and adventure, the roads are rough and look out for the motor cycles that zoom and dart very care freely

I had a very good time at Masai Lodge. the staff was really friendly and helpful. I have never experienced such nice employees anywhere: James, the reception and restaurant staff, the gardener and the security guards. My husband uses a wheelchair and they always helped us before we could even ask. Such wonderful people, a cozy room and really beautiful nature.

it’s so much that we loved about the property, first of all, the location is just breathtaking! 1st day we had a Rhino eating opposite of our terrace, 2nd day the Giraffes and so on. There were also frequent visits of the monkeys and bushrats on our terrace, just wonderful!
But not only the location is fabulous, so is the whole experience during the stay, the staff is always there and helpful. The Masai-Guides are going literally the extra mile for the guests and to make your stay unforgettable.
A special thank goes out to Lekempe (James) and Lanengetai (Wilson) who organized the nature walks and Safari Tour into the Nationalpark and gave us the experience of our Life.
honestly, it’s hard to find anything that we didn’t enjoy!

I liked the locations and the beautiful views, breakfast was good and dinner too; in general food was up to standards and the staff involved with it prepared and competent. The area has beautiful plants as well, it's in general well-kept and in good surroundings.
Several parts of the all structures are "tired", in need of refurbishing. Rooms is small for 3 people, was not very clean and beds also were not great. The pool was unattended for half an hour before we could see a person and the washrooms next to it were filthy. The structure needs refurbishing but in general it's a good place, in a good area.
