Lovely apartment & good location.

Location was good and apartment was well appointed with all kinds of appliances we did not use. Would probably be useful for longer term stay.

No place to hang clothes. That side of closet was blocked from use. We received one towel per person. One of the towels had a large hole in it and was all frayed and thin. It dampened the experience! Hot water and pressure in shower were inadequate.

ヴェルダンカテドラルのすぐ近くにあり、歴史を感じられる小路にあるホステルです。部屋、シャワー、トイレ、共用スペース、全てが清潔でした。オーナーの方はとても親切で、Verdun MemorialやDouaumont要塞を観光する手助けをしてくださいました。（タクシーも呼んでくれました）大きくてかわいい、秋田犬もいました。

Accueil chaleureux et confort chez Thomas & John

La déco ! Chambre très cosy. Literie très confortable, un dressing. Belle salle de bain ! L'accueil. Echanges très sympa avec l'hébergeur.

Impossible pour moi d'utiliser le sèche cheveux dans la salle de bains. Trop petite pour atteindre la prise électrique ou alors y en avait une autre super cachée. A pu être géré dans la chambre. Le soir en rentrant, des malheureux qui trainent dans le quartier. Pas un grand sentiment de sécurité sur le chemin retour du cinéma (qui est à 5 minutes à pied et qui est super au passage )

Perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Verdun und seine Umgebung

Gemütlich ausgestattete Wohnung mit allem, was man braucht. Viel Liebe fürs Detail. Perfekte Lage für Ausflüge, Besichtigungen oder einfach nur zum genießen an der Promenade der Meuse. Netter Kontakt und technisch intelligente Lösung für den Zugang zum Appartement.

Die anderen Gäste, die kein Rücksicht nehmen und um 5 Uhr morgens abreisen ohne die komplette Wohnung abzureißen

Außergewöhnlich - Gerne wieder!

Die Unterkunft lag sehr zentral in Verdun, Parkplatz direkt gegenüber der Wohnung. Das Appartement lag in der 1. Etage, welches lediglich über einen Code zu erreichen ist und damit auch ein sehr hohes Sicherheitsgefühl gab. Genügend Platz, sehr gepflegte Unterkunft, an Einrichtung und Ausstattung einfach perfekt, habe mich so wohl gefühlt als würde ich zu Hause wohnen. Nachfragen konnten mit dem Vermieter direkt per Telefon geklärt werden.

Very new and nice appartment. Free public parking very closeby. Very good and clear instructions about check in and check out. Short walk to bars and restaurants.

Perfect!

Excellent apartments, safe, immaculately clean, very comfortable and relaxing, spacious, perfectly staged and equipped, quiet location yet close to historic sites and restaurants, close free parking!! I would definitely recommend the Chambre d'hôte et gîte chez Thomas et John to anyone who asks me for a lodging recommendation in Verdun, and I look forward to staying there at my next opportunity!!

The stairs leading to the upstairs apartments are narrow and a little steep which is customary in Europe/France. Please consider this when visiting and when packing! We were tourists with big luggage (our fault!), but I'm glad we managed the stairs! The apartments are SOOOOO worth it!!!!

Poor

The apartment was clean, functional, tastefully decorated and lived up to the description provided on the booking site.

We had booked Thomas and John's 'gite' for two nights. We didn't expect luxury and were initially pleasantly surprised when we unlocked the door to the property for the reasons given above However, after having taken a shower later in the day, we started noticing a very unpleasant and overpowering smell of mould emanating from the bathroom. It had also seeped into the bed linen, so it was impossible to escape. We decided we couldn't stand another night in the fusty smell, so we left a day early and instead checked into one of the hotels in town. We were also disappointed by the lack of communication from the hosts. Months before our arrival, we sent them an email (in French) asking if they knew of places to rent bikes in Verdun on a Sunday or Monday as we had noticed through an internet search that all bike shops were closed on those days. We were met with silence. A brief 'Sorry, we're unable to assist you' would have sufficed, but silence is unacceptable in my opinion. We also later enquired (in French) about the possibility of leaving our luggage at the property as we arrived early by public transport and had no place to leave our belongings while exploring the area. Again, we were met with silence. All in all a very disappointing experience.

We had some troubles with self checkin door. No wifi (probably a temporary issue)

Superb

The location was super just a few steps from the cathedral and John was the most friendly host ever. Very nice and well equipped appartment absolute value for money.

There are 3 apartments and it is not well isolated against noise, we had a family above us. But it was no problem we used ear plugs.

A quick walk from the downtown area and an extremely comfortable stay. Place was modern with everything you needed. I only stayed over one night but wish I had stayed longer.

Nice spacious centrally located apartment

Great location in centre. Free parking round the corner. Large apartment. Although we didn't see any owners or staff, communication via booking com messages was good.

I was a little surprised to be asked to sign a separate rental contract via a French website with terms and conditions in French, given that I had booked through booking.com... But I ignored the request for a digital signature on that contract and no one complained....
