no hot water during my visit and very basic

nice clean apartment with everything you need a short walk away, and very friendly and helpful staff

Location perfect, support was great seeing as our flight was delayed and we didn’t get to the Lodge until late, but staff still picked up the phone and helped us with check-in! Can’t fault it, especially as it was the best value accommodation we found in the Marina area. Thank you for contributing to a perfect holiday!

The location was great, nice and central for English Harbour, nice view over the harbour.
We understood it was a Yachting School/Charity and Diving Centre before we booked, what we didn’t know was that we would be woken at 7am every morning by the instructors getting the equipment ready for that day and schooling the people literally right outside our room, we weren’t even able to open the curtains as they were just outside the window. The photos do the room justice this was not the reality. We tried to make the best of it by moving the little table and chairs outside to have breakfast (the photos show a nice bench and table - these were no where to be seen) it made us feel very uncomfortable as there is zero privacy. There was no security whatsoever and we felt quite vulnerable. The key for the room was left on the table as host instructed, however, we arrived in the pitch black and had to wander around using our torches on our phones to see where our accommodation was, I recognised the chalet and tried the door and managed to let us in. The hosts didn’t even bother to introduce themselves, or check if everything was ok. The only contact we had was when there was no water. This accommodation is probably OK for back packers or similar.

The location is really good. Supermarkets and restaurants right next door, very close to beautiful beaches such as Pigeon Point and Galleon. The rental of 2 mountain bikes at Bike Plus Limited , Independence Drive, Camacho Ave, St John's,
made our holiday complete. Absolutely recommended to rent bicycles and explore the island. Excellent service.

only a few steps from Falmouth and English Harbour.

The National Sailing Academy in Antigua is a one off. By staying there, you get to support its mission to make sailing available to all children on the island. Like everywhere in Antigua, the people are warm and genuine with thanks to Emma for looking after me. The accommodation is functional and comfortable with everything you need. Sandra makes you so welcome at the onsite Island Fusion restaurant which serves a good variety of high standard meals throughout the day. Breakfast overlooking the moorings is especially recommended, watching the dive school preparing for the day. Return in the evening for great views of the sunset over English Harbour. The location is good for exploring English Harbour, which is lively in season, and its nearby beaches. If you're feeling adventurous, there is a bus stop nearby for a trip to St John's. Shout out too to Skullduggery and sitting on the dock of the bay with a glass of house rum.

Was met at the property on arrival by Emma, who very kindly showed us to our rooms. The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable; all you need really with linen and towels changed frequently. Everyone onsite was extremely friendly. Emma and Kate are both lovely, welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful and approachable.
The facilities are great and even more so when you become aware that the money from your stay at The Lodge is helping to fund local Antiguan children to learn to sail. The program for disabled children is fantastic with swimming lessons and Sailing. They have a small pool/jacuzzi to help disabled children learn how to swim which as guest we could use in the evening and in a stunning location overlooking the harbour.
The Lodge has a very relaxed and welcoming feel. The Lodge has lots of outdoor space and seating areas. Paddle boarding, Kayaking and Sailing Lessons available at a great price. Onsite parking if you have a rental car.

The harmonious feeling between the people that run the sailing academy and the people that use the facilities. We were also made to feel very welcome indeed by Emma and Kate . I'm so happy that the payment for our accommodation went towards teaching the children to sail . Bless 🙌🏻

Great location in English Harbour with everything around we could possibly need. Emma sent the most comprehensive advance information outlining everything which was great, and responded instantly to messages on arrival, giving us a lovely friendly welcome in person later too!
The room was very spacious, with plenty of storage, very powerful air con and a great fridge. Very soft beds, which was not our preference, so to be aware of! Only one shared bathroom, but it was spotlessly clean.
It was very quiet and we enjoyed lovely picnic breakfasts on the beautiful terraces by the sea.
We walked to Pigeon Point beach everyday which was a definite favourite, and even though the onsite restaurant was closed, as well as some in town (low season) we had plenty of options to eat and drink nearby.

I'm a solo traveller who's very familiar with Antigua, and for me, the central location of The Lodge in English Harbour is super convenient. My room was okay, the staff are extremely helpful, and there's lots of space on the property's grounds to roam, relax, and sit down with a drink. However, the foremost reason to stay here is the on site Sandra's Bar and Restaurant which, in my humble opinion, serves the best food on the island. Sandra's curried goat and rice has to be experienced to be believed - absolutely delicious! All things considered, I had a great time at The Lodge, and from now on, it will be my hotel of choice when I'm in Antigua.
My room was a wee bit rough around the edges and could have had better locks on the door.

location, people, all great
well, all good, just nay need to change metresses and get bigger cookers :)
3.5
The location suited my need for seclusion, tranquility and rest.
Regrettably, the restaurant facilities were not available due, I was told, to Covid-19 restrictions. I was a bit unsettled by the lack of security - main entry door left unlocked; entry lock to my apartment poorly fitted and easily accessible, as I proved myself, by an outsider!

Everything was great: I give 5 stars to both staff and location. Great value for the price

Location was excellent! Restaurant nice with great food. The Owners and staff were super friendly and kind. The grounds well maintained and the views were amazing.
The room wasn't cleaned properly and the shower walls had black mold growing. The unit needs to be updated and the bed needs a proper mattress.
