Priest bridge is a lovely place to stay,it's not too far from Newcastle and you have Tolly more forest on your doorstep.I would definitely be back here.

Priest Bridge Cottage is deceptively spacious whilst still retaining a cosy feeling. The decor was lovely and beds were comfortable, I had a great night's sleep. The wood burner was lovely to sit beside in the evening. The location is very good, not too far from Newcastle. We used the local taxi service to visit Newcastle for a meal, it was very quick and reliable. Would love to visit again.

Excellent little cottage close to Newcastle, dogs loved it. Would love to stay here again!

The location was excellent. The children were able to go to the forest just across the road on their bikes and had a wonderful time. I walked into Newcastle from the property and found it to be a very pleasant experience.
Little cramped for 9 people, however the children treated it like an adventure and "camped out" in the lounge/kitchen area. Hot water was an issue - there was a switch but it didn't seem to make a difference. I boiled kettles to wash the dishes and there was an electric shower so we managed.

House was great for our needs and the location was lovely. Amazing to have the forest on our door step and being able to bring our dog was fantastic. Host was brilliant at communicating with us.
There isn't wifi - you have to buy a SIM card.
The master bedroom bed is very creaky and not that comfortable, could do with a new frame and mattress
Shower was very weak and shower head came off.

Location was great. Cottage was very comfortable and had great enclosed garden. We had a med sized dog with us and the property worked great for us.
The back room bed frame was very creaky but that’s the only minor comment.

An excellent location at entrance to Tullymore Forest Park. Cosy cottage with excellent facilities

The property is overall satisfactory.Jo, the owner was unfortunately taken to hospital, on the day we checked in. However the code for the keys was managed easily. The House is well equipped. I do hope she has made a full recovery.
The house is very cold. Perhaps a pay metre for the central heating would be an idea. This is a big drawback. A two hour spell of low heat is not really enough, You then have to go and turn the switch on again, especially in December. The switch for the heating is downstairs in the back kitchen.I understand costs for the owner do come in to it. However, I would have gladly paid more for comfort. I developed flu because of the cold and we had to leave early.

Close to Newcastle and the forest
When we arrived at the cottage, there was not enough room to park both of our cars (group of 8) and therefore we had to park one of the cars on the main road which we were uneasy about in case any damage was done to the car by passers by/other vehicles as it was quite a narrow road.
The cottage itself was overpriced for what was offered to us. For instance, wifi was available - but at a cost. The host, Jo, informed us that we would need to travel into Newcastle to purchase a vodafone sim card in order to use it!
The host advised us that we had to check in at 4pm due to it undergoing a 'deep clean' due to Covid. However, this proved to be the contrary. There were cobwebs on every wall, the bath tub contained fluff and hairs from the previous guests (We did not even attempt to get into the shower), and there wers dead flies, dog hairs, and items from previous guests such as a dummy and hair clip underneath the sofa bed and dirt in every corner. Underneath the sink was a huge grease stain which appeared to have been attempted to be cleaned as there was a used brillo pad lying beside it.
We decided to light the fire in the living room but we were shocked when it transpired that a smoke alarm was located in the same room, which was rather nonsensical. The door of the fire also blew open as something appeared to have been in the grate and therefore we gave up with the fire.
The dirt made us feel uncomfortable during our stay and it was difficult sleeping with the creaking of the mattresses and the thoughts of spiders creeping about.
The garden was also a lot smaller than the photos would portray. The chairs were covered in dirt and were rusted. The garage was a hazard to the children and we had to leave this off limits.
Overall, we were disappointed with the cleanliness (or lack thereof) of the cottage and the fact that it cost £300 for a 19 hour stay.

very close to the main street via car literally 2 mins and in a quiet location and plenty of room for a family of 6, the sun was shining hitting near 30 degrees which topped the stay off perfect. we will definitely be back for another stay to explore the mountains and parks as this stay was all about the beach with that weather. we will recommend to family and friends also, lovely spot.

Pet friendly accommodation that was roomy and provided decent lodging. It would be a wonderful accommodation in the summer. The owner, Jo, was very friendly and reachable.
The accommodation was conveniently located close to Newcastle downtown.
The accommodation was cold and the heat took almost 5 hours to be effective. The heat is on a 2 hour timer, so you have to wake up every 2 hours at night to ensure you don't run out of heating during the night. The front bedroom never warmed, we slept on the sofa bed in the kitchen area. Also the dishes were dirty with food residue and greasy fingerprints. The French Press had dried coffee residue from previous use. Had to wash everything before using.

Brilliant location for accessing Tollymore. Nice and quiet place to stay.
We had to take the bike rack off the car to park as otherwise we would have been blocking the next door neighbour from accessing their property. Also, the cottage was very cold when we arrived but it warmed up quickly when the heating was turned on. As it only stays on for 2 hours at a time (at which point, you can boost it again) it was a bit cold on the first night but once the heat has built up, it was lovely and cosy.
