The cottage is charming, very well equipped with all one could ask for.

Water pressure poor and temperature fluctated.when showering. Garden furniture in need of replacing,Cupboard where pans stored greasy. The property was otherwise clean and bedrooms and bathroom spotless.
The village gave easy access to lots of other pretty villages.

This was my second stay here at Meadow view Cottage. Beautiful garden with a great place to sit at the end to chill with a glass of wine and watch the sunset. Plenty of pubs to choose from, a great Indian restaurant (Onion Bhaji) and a great walk from Long Melford to Sudbury along the tree lined disused old railway track.

A cosy cottage in lovely Long Melford. Perfect for 2 couples with lovely cottage furnishings and a country garden with views across a meadow. A shop nearby and plenty of pubs, tearooms and dining a short walk away. Loved the location and cottage well appointed. Highly recommend as a great place to stay to explore beautiful Suffolk. Worth noting that the stairs to the bedrooms quite steep so not for anyone with mobility issues.

Beautiful little cottage on the edge of Long Melford. Two nice double bedrooms upstairs, a cosy lounge and lovely kitchen dining room with views into the garden and meadows beyond. Lots of really thoughtful touches like cotton wool in the bathroom and a stash of bits and bobs in the bedroom that guests might have forgotten. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

From booking last minute, prompt communication and overall experience, can’t fault Mark and his perfect cottage. Great location within the village, the cottage has everything required for a long weekend. Tastefully decorated and well equipped. Not only Long Melford but the surrounding areas are all dog friendly and our pooch loved the home. Highly recommend and would definitely return if visiting the area again.

This cottage has everything. Amazing location 5 minutes walk to pubs, restaurants, take-a-ways and tea rooms. Parking is on road but we never had an issue parking directly outside the property. The cottage decor is beautiful and In keeping of a listed property. It was spotlessly clean and is so well equipped with everything you could need. Fluffy white towels and white cotton bedding. Lovely warm Central heating so after a cold soggy walk you come back to a lovely warm house. We will come back for another visit, loved it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Meadowview cottage.
It is a perfect place to start exploring the many sights in Suffolk, Essex en Cambridgeshire. The view is absolutely beautiful.
The cottage is well maintained and although it's build in the 1850's, you have a everything we needed, including perfect WiFi, something the kids really appreciated.
Our party consisted of two adults, two kids and a dog. Four adults would be a bit much in the cottage, but with the four of us it was great.
The kitchen, and especially the cabinets could use a big cleaning, but everything else was spotless.
Great pubs and tea-rooms are just a short walk away and there are many beautiful walks to enjoy with, or without a dog.

Fabulous family stay
We stayed here whilst visiting Sudbury and were so pleased with such a lovely base. Our 2 and 4 year old boys were so happy with their room and garden, and we loved the cozy feel and helpful facilities. The location was so handy and the communication from everyone was brilliant. We will be back!

Lovely location
Lovely location with fields at the back of the property. Within walking distance of 4 pubs and restaurants. Locals and neighbours very friendly. Only downside was having to park the car on the road.

A perfectly placed gem of a cottage
This little cottage is a real find, if you’re new to Suffolk as we were or know it well and love it. Gorgeousness on your doorstep with gentle strolls passed interesting shops and many stylish pubs for lunch or dinner and places to take tea etc. And then there are f course many historic areas of interest, well known or just simply lovely to dip in to. And very affordable too. Can highly recommend.

Lovely accommodation in a lovely village.
Everything in the property was well thought out for a relaxing break and was nice to sit in the patio area at the bottom of the garden in the sunshine.

Fabulous location & garden with THE most amazing views
Such a lovely home away from home, & in a brilliant location - on the high street minutes walk from the first of the shops but a complete change of pace in the back garden with views as far as the eye can see. A cosy cottage with a great kitchen/dining area & lots of comfy seating in the front room. Great job by the cleaners as very clean & tidy.
Long Melford has lots of interesting shops, antique centres, brilliant & surprisingly affordable art galleries as well as lovely pubs & restaurants (The Crown, The Swan & The Black Lion - totally amazing Sunday Lunch!).
The neighbours at no 13 were super friendly & even asked us over for a G & T if we were to come back again! Absolutely loved our stay, our first to Suffolk & are already thinking of a repeat visit later in the year. Thank you Mark for a wonderful Easter Break ❤️

Walking Holiday in Suffolk
Meadowview was an ideal base for a short walking holiday I recently enjoyed with my brother. Outside, there is a nice little garden with a pleasant view over a water meadow enjoyed by a herd of grazing cows. We did manage to park in the vicinity, although it was unfortunately necessary to put the car half on the footpath to avoid damage. The road through the village is very busy. Inside, there was comfortable room for two adults, more would quite intimate.

June Weekend
We had a 3-night break at the weekend and enjoyed the stay. The location is the south end of the village, so only a short stroll to pubs, shops and restaurants. The property was just right for the 3 of us, comfortable and well appointed. Would stay again, which is the best endorsement!

A 5 nights stay at in Long Melford. The cottage was spotless and very comfortable. We chose this cottage because of the location. I wanted something close to a number of tourist activities and where I didn't need to drive anywhere in the evening. There are multiple pub/restaurants, Chinese take away, a couple of Indian restaurants and a number of tea rooms all within walking distance of the cottage. The cottage has a well appointed kitchen and bathroom and the lounge has good wifi connectivity. The garden (could have done with grass & bushes being cut) but that's an insignificant with the nice view over fields and a few houses in the far distance. We were very lucky with the weather that enabled us to sit at the end of the garden after a day out to have a pre-meal drink. There is a small Co-op and Budgens in the town and and no more than a 10 minute drive to a Tesco super store. All in all a very nice place to stay and would return if heading back this way.Thank you.

A small cottage, but downstairs felt spacious. The bathroom and kitchen looked newly done, modern but tasteful. Two double beds (think one's a queen). Everything you need to self-cater (apart from a potato masher!). The location is great, Long Melford has plenty of good eateries and don't miss the tearooms for proper old-fashioned decor and service. We drove to Walton-on-the-Naze and parked at the tower for a couple of hours with the dog on sandy beaches and a nice walk passed beach huts to the main section (busier but dogs not allowed on the beach) for an icecream. Bury St Edmonds is nice, with Abbey ruins and a cathedral, plus attractive shopping centre to keep youngsters (12 & 13) happy (and felt comfortable letting them go for a wonder on their own). Lavenham with its large number of old timber houses is very close, but get there early before the crowds. Ipswich is one to miss :-) River walks a plenty, and I believe there's paddle boarding, canoeing, etc. hire nearby.A couple of issues raised with Mark directly which I'm sure will be sorted out for future guests to make it 5/5.
