About this house rental
This gorgeous home is located right across the street from the beach, has ocean views, and a beach access just steps away. There are 6 bedrooms and 4 baths. It has memory foam mattresses in all the bedrooms, and 32-inch Roku TVs in all bedrooms other than the master which has a 40-inch Roku TV. Stream all the cable channels, or your own Hulu or Netflix - and control the TV with your phone if you like!
The gourmet kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and is ready to accommodate large families or groups. There is a bar height counter that seats 4, and the dining table seats 6. It's also a great place to gather to play board games. The home has hardwood floors in all the common areas.
The living area has 2 sofas. For TVs the living area has a 55-inch Roku/wifi-enabled flat screen TV, the master a 40-inch TV, and all the other bedrooms have 32-inch Roku TVs as well. High speed wireless internet service is also provided for your enjoyment. Upstairs there is a laundry area with a full-size washer and dryer.
The entry first floor has two bedrooms - one in the middle of the home with a full over full bunk bed, and the other with a queen bed. There's a jack and jill (shared) bathroom on the entry floor with dual vanities and a toilet/shower area that has a door to close it off from the vanity area. New LVP flooring for the ground level in 2022!
The main second floor has the great room with living room, dining, and the gourmet kitchen. This level also has a bedroom with a queen bed. There is also a full bath on this level with separate doors the the bedroom and common area.
The third floor has the master and two guest rooms that share a full bath in the hallway - both hall bedrooms have queen beds.
The master bedroom has a king bed, a private deck, and a fabulous master bathroom with dual vanities and a glass enclosed shower. You can sit in the bed in the master and look out at great ocean views!
For ocean viewing, there are two nicely furnished covered decks. One is on the main 2nd floor and the other is just off the master bedroom. Both are great for watching the ocean, watching people, reading, enjoying time with family and friends.
To make your stay more enjoyable, the house is secured with a keypad lock. No worrying about who has the key! And of course there's an outdoor shower for when you get home, and a charcoal grill for cooking out on.
This unit is half of a duplex. Each side is 6br 4ba. If you're interested in renting both sides let me know.
Carolina Beach is an incredible vacation spot, with something for everyone in the family. There's a boardwalk with a permanent amusement park for the kids during the summer. The town hosts many movie nights at the lake, and they also have paddle boats there available for rent. The north end of the island allows 4 wheel drive vehicles, and there's a pier there as well. Kure beach also has a pier, which is about a mile away and makes for a nice stroll down the beach.
At the far south end of the island is the Fort Fisher state park with large uncrowded beaches, the aquarium, and the ferry to Southport.
This beautiful home is centrally located. The Tiki bar and Granny's Country Kitchen are short walks. The town area of Carolina Beach is just over a mile to the north, and Kure Beach is about a mile to the south.
Linens are included. One dog of up to 25 pounds considered with a pet fee.

Property was great! Check in was super easy.
But, the ocean view is covered now that two new houses have been built, so you can kind of see it.

This property has potential unmet. It’s in a great place and can house several people at once, BUT… I have NEVER stayed at a vacation rental that had one towel per person for the entire stay. Our toilet overflowed so you can imagine how bad that was with limited towels. Zero towels and paper towels in the kitchen. Doing the dishes was challenging. The thermostat was glued so that it could not be adjusted. Upper floor was extremely warm while the bottom floor was a meat locker. The freezer didn’t freeze completely. Pretty much all the adults staying here were disappointed.

The house is exactly as described in the listing - across the street from the beach, bedrooms/baths/kitchen all as described. Not quite as clear is that it is two units, and the other half is also rented out. This was not a problem for us, as the other group was very respectful and "good neighbors." Max of 4 cars for our side, although they used a floating number between 4-6 on their side.
The bad: no soap in showers, which was not clear (or maybe I just missed it). I've done dozens and dozens of VRBOs, and that was a first for us. Much, much worse: the water - out of every faucet, sink, shower, toilet - smelled of rotten eggs. It was bad enough that we would not use the water to make coffee, and most of us skipped showering altogether.
Would we stay there again? Only if the water issue is corrected. If so, likely we would. It is convenient to Wilmington, easy beach access, etc. Plenty of space for our large family. But unless the water is addressed, we would not stay there again.

This house was well furnished with comfortable beds and equipped with basic supplies which was super convenient. The short walk across the road to the beach was perfect and you could sit on the porch and watch the waves from the house. We really enjoyed our vacation here!

My initial process was extremely simple. For the price I paid for this property the house wasn’t very clean when we arrived. The coffee maker still had old grounds and filter in it and the pot wasn’t clean. After I cleaned everything the coffee was never hot, luck warm at best. Again for the price of this property, spending $50 for a small Kerrigan is recommended. I get it, the price is for location but someone needs to put some money back into this property for it to be nice. My thoughts. I will not stay here again.

Notes from owner through VRBO and on property were rude and condescending. Some of the glasses were filthy. This is what happens when you leave it to your guests to wash and put away their dishes. Top floor guest bathroom

This is a great property with a beautiful view. I loved the layout and the distribution of bedrooms on each floor. The property is perfect for a large group. The beach access is right across the street. I think the cost of this property is very reasonable given the size and location. The property owner is responsive and good to work with. Highly recommend!

Great for our group!
The house looked better than the pictures, so that was a nice surprise. Plenty of room for our group of 10 - room to hang out together and tv's in every bedroom when we wanted privacy.
The house is right across from the beach access, and the decks have great views. It was nice to have such a short walk back to use the bathroom or make a sandwich.
The only downside is parking is limited to 4 cars, but we knew that ahead of time and planned accordingly.
The owner was easy to work with too. Definitely recommend.

Mr Kapella was attentive and accommodating. Yard had trash around property, waste baskets were dirty needed to be wiped out, laundry area was very dirty with empty laundry containers and lots of lint.Bedroom linens and spreads need updating. Upstairs great room door to porch did not lock.Outside BBQ definitely needs replacing. Coffee pot was broken.
Location was beautiful and our party enjoyed our stay very much even with theses issues.

The location of the house is fantastic-rigjt across the street from beach access. And the house is very roomy and overall pretty nice inside. The house would benefit from a good cleaning. The mattresses, blankets and carpets are stained. The kitchen appliances, cabinets and drawers could be scrubbed down as well.
Doesn't have great kitchen dishes such as bowls and pans. Also only came with two trash bags so be aware of that.

Great place!
What a great vacation we had! The house was very spacious, allowing us to have plenty of room to play games and eat. The gates at the top of the stairs were a plus as we had a little one. Beds were very comfortable. We all loved the balcony with table and chairs, and spent many hours out there. Nice view of the beach, and access is right across the street. The beach itself is a nice spot. Very clean. Outside shower/hose was great for rinsing sand off. Really loved everything about this place, but the best part was how we never felt crowded even though we had a full house. David was very responsive to all our questions. A great experience, great time! Highly recommend!

Great location and floor plan
The listing for the property was accurate. The decks facing the ocean were wonderful for breezes and people watching. Outside shower with hot/cold water was great. The layout provided privacy as well as great spaces for us to gather. Our group...Two 65+ Grandparents, 8month, 2 yr old with parents and 5&7 year olds with their parents...we were very comfortable and appreciated the gates on the stairways for safety. We will certainly consider David’s property for a future family vacation. Thank you for a sharing your property on this memorable trip.

Nice Weekday stay
My family and I decided to make a trip tp get out of the house, now that we are not going to in-person school. The property was clean and fresh. The kids and I were all able to "work from home" with fast internet and we thoroughly enjoyed the internet enabled/Roku TV's. We also enjoyed the great view from decks on both levels.
The the owner friendly was responsive to our pre-trip questions, and even made a couple of nice restaurant recommendations.
Overall a great vacation. We would go back!

Great property for family gatherings!
This was the perfect property for our family Thanksgiving. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking with the exception of mixing bowls. All the beds have memory foam mattresses and Roku TVs. With 3 levels and 3 flights of stairs, be prepared to get your exercise. The owner is very responsive if you need anything. We will definitely recommend this property.

Our church group could not climb the stairs, we should have opted for a place with an elevator, plus the kitchen cook stove was a little wacky for us to understand. The couch was also broken which made it hard for us ALL to have a comfortable seat. I would however recommend it to a younger group, however the couch needs to be fixed.

Good beach house
The house was great for our family and extended family of 12. The beach was right across the street and closer than I was expecting. We used both balconies a lot and loved the view of the ocean. There were a lot of restaurants very close. The rental price was very affordable. The beach was nice. Our family fished every morning and evening and enjoyed swimming every day. The water was rough most of the week, but this allowed surfing.
