Great location, poor facilities, and unhygienic staff.

The location was perfect. Very central and easy to access.

Neither host speaks any English, but that was not a big deal; only a minor inconvenience and seeing as we were in Sicily it did not bother us. However, the younger host was clearly very sick and should NOT have been working. She was right outside our room in the common area coughing, sneezing, and loudly blowing her nose for hours and hours for both days we were there. We did not feel comfortable in the common area because she was clearly ill. Additionally, the "kitchen" was swarmed by flies and was not a place suited to prepare food. For what it's worth, the wifi was also the slowest I have encountered during my 5 week trip in Italy. I would not recommend staying here.

property was in a great location and very clean. such a great value for the money spent. the staff was helpful and very nice!

i would have liked a room with a window to outside but it was fine. room was very quiet.

Comodísimo B&B con hermosas habitaciones en lugar de ingreso a la Isla de Ortigia.

B&B ubicado frente a al Templo de Apollo, apenas se cruza el puente a la isla de Ortigia. Habitación tamaño perfecto para 3 personas, limpio y con un baño funcionando a la perfección. Para estadías de 1 o 2 días.

No hubo nada que de "disgustara".

location was amazing, just what we needed for one night. The bathroom was the cleanest bathroom i have ever seen! It was all a bit dated but it was well worth the money and i would stay again

Other rooms appear to be hostel accommodation, as shared kitchen. Occupants noisy 1 to 2am. Then okay..

Great location in Ortigia

I had a great stay at Apollo B&B. The location was perfect for exploring Syracusa, as it is located near the entrance of Ortigia Island and the Temple of Apollo. The staff was friendly and helped me carry two heavy suitcases up the stairs during check-in and check-out.

The window did not block out the street noise and the bathroom fan transmitted noise as well, which woke me up early.

Location is great, responsiveness of the staff and hosts was perfect. Easy to do self checkin and out.

The sound insulation of the rooms wasn’t good, so I could hear the voices of everyone in the main hallway early in the morning really loudly. So if you plan to sleep in, that’s something that could disturb you.

staff and common area smelt of cigaretts, staff not friendly and cheated us on the stay tax! Toilet seat does not match toilet, toilet fan did not work. WiFi was down too!

No breakfast. The staff person at check in was unfriendly. There were no instructions for checking out. Scratch sheets. No one available to talk to at check out.

Breakfast was at a cafe next door and just included a croissant and coffee. Room was large with a nice bathroom and conveniently located. Staff let us keep our bags there, no charge, since check out was at ten, but we weren't leaving until after one.

Perfect Location to walk around in Ortiga and to take a taxi for the Greek Monuments Outside Ortiga

Fantastic localization with a view to the Apollo temple right in the beginning of the walking center of Syracuse in Ortega island. Everything near by including restaurants and monuments and narrow little streets. Great breakfast in coffeeshop below. Windows open into the nice busy streets full of people strolling around or eating ice cream. Taxis also just below your window to travel quickly to train station or to the old greek monuments farther away (nearby just Apollo temple) plus the medieval italian city not as ancient as farther away from ortiga in the greek era archaeological park and museum.

quiet good in general, maybe the hostess could be nicer and more welcoming but that is really not a big deal since the location is so top and she is not rude or anything, just not all smiles but she is efficient.

Affordable, spacious & well-situated place in Ortigia

Can't get any better with the location - it's bang opposite the Apollo temple ruins and overlooks the open-air Bazar. Our window opened to the bazar, and had a marble seat so you could sit there and people watch. My friend (travelling with me) did not experience any dust allergy flareups - this means the beds linen was clean. The location, the pricepoint and the spaciousness of the room is the best thing about this b&b.

There is a smoking room (its like a common area kitchenette) which was adjacent to our room, so at times we would get the smell of cigarette smoke wafting if we sit next to the window.

I was satisfied but probably wouldn't stay there again.

Good basic accommodation at a very reasonable price in a great location. Continental breakfast at a cafe around the corner was good. Staff were helpful but speak little or no English.

The WiFi is very weak, pretty much useless in the evening, but better in the morning. Also conversation from the owners' living quarters could be heard loudly and clearly through the ceiling vent in the bathroom.

there was no light in the building. it’s an old one with old steps so not ideal. You can hear other people from the other rooms as the walls are super thin
