This was our second time staying for a week at the cabin. The house was fully stocked and very clean. The backyard is a beautiful oasis whether you enjoy swimming, canoeing, or relaxing in the hammock. We are already looking forward to next summer!

Our family had an absolutely wonderful time here. Lounging in the hammocks, or riding the canoe across that big lake, house had everything we needed for a nice quiet week. Owner lives a house away and were very pleasant, we had a few questions and he was happy to help out. Highly recommend! Will return!

This is the second time our family has been to this cabin. We just love the area and this house. The lake is so quiet and secluded. We feel like Brassua Lake is one of Maine’s biggest secrets because there is nobody on the water. If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing get away this is the place. The home was spotless and equipped with necessary items. The owners are very nice and responsive. We will definitely be returning!

Plenty of room (and more to spare) with our family of five: 2 adults and 3 children (ages 3, 8, 10). The lake house was clean and well taken care of inside. Essentials like dishwashing pods, laundry soap, paper products, towels, and shower toiletries were stocked for us. We loved the wood beams and open floor plan. Our youngest loved the outdoorsy décor, especially the moose in one of the bedrooms!
The property was gorgeous as well. Plenty of space to park and a huge yard to enjoy. We arrived during a snowstorm, but the property owners made sure to have the drive & walkways clear for us. We used the fire pit, which offers an unmatched view of the lake and mountains. We also played board games on the kitchen table and loved hanging out on the comfy sectional couch.
The property owners live next door; they are very friendly and made sure everything went well with our visit. We felt very welcomed!
We would have loved to stay longer, maybe forever! We’ll be back to this beautiful place; it was the perfect spot to rest and recharge.

We stayed during the kid's mid-winter break and had a great time. Easy access to snowmobile trails and ice fishing were the big ticket items for us.
The posting says WiFi can be problematic, we had zero issues with 3 kids doing their thing and we could stream a movie at the same time. The air hockey table needs to be replaced, it's beat up and very unstable. The water heater cannot keep up with the fill rate of the Jacuzzi.
Better communication from the host prior to and during our stay would have made for a better review. Pretty sure Vacasa is mostly AI driven rather than actual human beings, keep this in mind when booking.

This house is very beautiful and is in a perfect location! It is a little close to another couple homes but there was no issues with that at all. Great atmosphere good neighborhood. It is a very comfortable feeling and home away from home. Enough room for a nice size family and our dogs which is always a must. We loved everything about this place although a few minor hiccups. I like to clean when it comes to animals and kids you have to. There wasn’t really much cleaning supplies which is fine we bought some but the mop is very ragged and tearing apart and didn’t really work. The broom needs to be replaced with a bigger one as the one there is very tiny (for a place with all wooden floors) and the bristles were poking out everywhere making it hard to sweep up dirt. There is a chair at the table that the leg kept coming unscrewed so we didn’t want anyone to use that one and the little foot rest to the rocking chair has a broken leg so we didn’t want to use that either. The only other thing which was the biggest issue for us is the hot water. It didn’t stay hot for long and you have to wait in between showers for everyone to take one as it got very cold very quick. The tub which was a huge excitement for our family was beautiful but you could only fill it about 1/4 of the way before the water got ice cold. Other than these few things everything was great and it was stocked with dishes and pots and pans and as very clean and overall gorgeous. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved the location and privacy. Cabin is really cute, but it needs some changes.

The house was very clean when we arrived. The view from the deck/yard/dock were spectacular with peak foliage on display. The beach area was private and my two pups had a blast running up and down the shore and swimming. The gas fireplace was lovely on the cooler nights. When we lost power on one day of our stay, the generator automatically kicked into gear to keep the power on until CMP was able to restore it later that night. We would absolutely stay here again!

The house was a perfect end of summer getaway for our family of 6, and dogs. The scenery is beautiful and the house has everything for a fun filled and relaxing day, including 2 canoes and fire pit. We would absolutely come back!

The house was the perfect fit for our family with a master bedroom on the top floor and another on the bottom floor. This allowed for privacy for both my husband and I and my daughter and her boyfriend. The property was clean and the lakeside view was perfect. The property owners were close by and very attentive.

The house was beautiful and the owners of this property were incredibly generous during our stay.
This lake was peaceful (we only saw 2 motorboats pass by during our week- long stay). This was a perfect place to relax and unwind by paddling around the lake in a canoe or kayak or sit on the deck overlooking the lake. Bring a good book and put all of your stress and worries aside at this absolutely perfect lakeside home! My 81 year old mother and teenage boys all loved it for what the house and the area had to offer.

I've rented several homes in the Moosehead region and this was by far the best. The home was beautifully situated in a quiet area, with a picturesque view of the sun setting on the opposite end of the lake each evening. My dog loved spending time by the water, and I enjoyed using the lakeside fire pit. Mike and Becky were friendly and attentive hosts. I enjoyed our conversations.
I’m looking forward to returning there.

We had a wonderful time at this lovely lakeside cabin. The lake was still frozen and it was extremely windy and cold during our time there, but we still enjoyed being cooped up inside, especially with the large windows looking out at the lake. We are eager to one day return when the lake is no longer frozen. The house had everything we needed (except for dish soap, but I think that might have been an accidental oversight). The wind was very very loud on the metal roof and at one point the electricity seamlessly switched to the generator, but we still really enjoyed our time cooped up inside. The only suggestion for improvement would be better internet. We couldn't stream anything! We do hope to return soon.

They lie about giving me a refund when the heat stop working. They had give us a space heater and my mom had to sleep on the couch to stay warm the all 3 nights. The first night we froze because the fireplace didn't work. There water doesn't get hot. Definitely wont recommend that place in the winter.

The views are absolutely stunning as well as the layout of the cabin. We stayed here when it was the coldest on record in Maine with record temps of -50 *F. The owners were a short ways away and assisted us with trouble shooting any problems, as well as ensured our safety in the home. Couldn’t be more thankful & couldn’t ask for a better place to stay! Incredible home, with even more incredible hospitality! This home was very clean and kept, and has so much recreational activities to offer including ice fishing, fishing, access to snowmobile trials and ATV trials. We will be back in the summer!! Don’t hesitate to book this beautiful cabin!!

We loved everything about this cabin in Rockwood. It’s in a picture perfect setting and right on the lake. We chose to spent Christmas here as we were hoping to see some snow. It did not disappoint. There was snow on the ground when we arrived and as a bonus it snowed some more on Christmas Day. Our daughter said her dream has come true…lol. The cabin is well equipped and had plenty of space. We just happened to be there as Winter Storm Elliott passed through which took out the electricity throughput most of the area for about 30hrs. We were without power for approximately 10 seconds as the whole house generator kicked on and we when on enjoying ourselves as if we never lost power. The Vacasa staff was amazing, especially Charlotte. She made sure we were well taken care of prior to our arrival, during the stay, and then as we checked out. We even had a visit from the actual owner who wanted to stop by just to make sure we had everything we needed. We appreciated that. It’s rare to find a place like this. Definitely a must see place and we look forward to coming back for the summer. Can’t wait!

This is a great place to stay anytime of the year. My wife and I usually visit the Rockwood area in May of each year but decided to try November for a change. Weather was unusually warm for the first part of our stay. Overnight it went down to freezing but indoors was warm and toasty in front of the fireplace. However, we didn't get to enjoy the last four days of our vacation there. We had to leave for home Monday because of a reoccurring ear infection I received by Saturday. But I'm still looking forward to visiting there again in the near future. We always enjoy the Rockwood area and the Partridge Road Retreat is the perfect location for a weeks vacation!

Beautiful location and stunning views. Two great restaurants to eat at within 15 minutes. We did have a mouse or two to deal with, but it is in the country and it appeared the owners took necessary measures to prevent rodents (traps/bait stations). Downstairs needs a new shower head and it would be nice if the property had a working hair dryer. Without our furry friend, a working hair dryer, a decent screen door and easier to lock doors, this would have been a 5 star. All minor issues that the owners will hopefully address.

Partridge Road retreat was what we were looking for in a getaway place. Beautiful, private setting, with all the conveniences of home. If you have difficulty climbing stairs, you may want to look elsewhere, however, as the only beds on the main floor are two twin beds, and the stairs to both the loft and the basement are very steep.

Very easy checking in, place was immaculate. Plenty of space for our family of four and two dogs. Access to canoes, kayaks, bikes, rafts. WiFi was ok, no cell service in that area. Fine by me! Owners live nearby and are incredibly kind. So much fishing and boating to do in the area but come prepared it’s a solid 35 minutes to a grocery store (gas station with a small convenience store 15 min away). The lake and views are stunning, as is the night sky. Miss it already!

Beautiful Retreat
Located on lake with beautiful surroundings, warm cozy atmosphere in the home. We were there for Easter and it was quite cold but we still enjoyed indoor board games, rest and relaxation. Ate our morning meals there, everything well stocked for cooking, We enjoyed Kelly's Landing Restaurant about 30 min. away for great food and service. Ideal place for family dog pets to come along, they enjoyed it also. Would highly recommend, Vacasa stayed in touch with us to make sure everything was good, seems like a respectable good company.

Hunting Trip
A friend and I came up to the Rockwood/Jackman area for a bird hunting trip. This house was in a great location to hit all the areas we wanted to. We were able to bring two dogs, though there was a sizable fee and also instructions that we had to clean the house after them. We were unsure what the additional fee was for if we were expected to clean anyways. The beds were great, bathroom fine, and the kitchen made it easy to chat and cook at the same time. The heat source was only one propane heater in the basement, so as the months go on I’m sure it will be chilly. We ended up leaving the door to the basement open so the heat would continue into the rest of the house. It looks like there are plans to put baseboard heaters in, hopefully it can be done soon. We did wake up to mice both mornings (stuck in the kitchen sink and in the trashcan), it didn’t bother us but I’m sure there are some who will not enjoy this. Overall, nice location and a good camp cabin with a ton of parking if you were to bring trailers or a lot of vehicles.

Wonderful, relaxing home with all the creature comforts
What a great property, this home really met all our needs. Love that it had separate spaces to go escape to if you wanted to yet also had a wonderful large central area for gathering in the kitchen, watching TV or heading out to the deck. We also really liked how the home was situated on the land and that there was plenty of deck space, some of which was covered which was nice so we could still enjoy enjoy the outdoors even in a light rain. Also it was plenty of grass area which would be great in the summer to play frisbee or some lawn games. But the view of the water and that sandy rocky shoreline was the icing on the cake, especially because there was seating with a fire pit and a hammock down in that area to really take it all in. This is a truly magical destination that we want to definitely return to, maybe next time in a warmer month to take full advantage of the wonderful lake. Our dog absolutely loved it as well and it was so nice to be able to take her with us and enjoy new places with her by our side. Thank you for sharing your home with us for our 25th wedding anniversary.
