Perfect housekeeping by a team led by Maria. Friendly and considerate staff. Maria made all arrangements for our day tours, gave us tips and recommendations for eating out and places to see, and she and her team made our stay a pleasant one. Special thanks to Maria, Diyana, Rizal and Brahm for that.

Merasa kayak di rumah eyang. Homey banget, nyaman, ga mau pulang. Sarapannya sederhana, tapi berasa sehat.

We had a comfortable stay here. The property itself is quite striking and tastefully done. Room was spacious, clean and cleaning was done daily. Staff were helpful and accommodating.
Nothing really.

Not within control but the 430 call to prayer from next door was loud

Exceptionally clean and beautiful

Very beautiful honestly with friendly staff. The room was very comfortable, and had everything you need. Everything worked!
The location at first felt luke you were in the middle of no where but you're only 10 minutes walk from taman sari and 15 minutes walk from popular restaurants.
As I'm a westerner. It's a little far from quick amenities like a mini mart.

Fantastic, spacious room and nice shared areas (e.g. breakfast room, lobby) with historic arts. Located in a resident area without through-going traffic makes it a quite relaxed stay in a busy & noisy city.
Close to the main square with local life and countless food stalls. Great to dive in into Javanese culture & eating and into bustling young life.
There are several mosques close around, so be aware that you might be waked up before sunrise.
To the "classical" tourist areas with more western styled restaurants (or at least those ones who sell a beer), bars and tour booking offices it's quite a way to walk (> 2km, approx. 20-30min.) along dusty, pedestrian unfriendly streets.

The property was well-maintained and clean. They serve a lovely breakfast in the common area, next to a peaceful courtyard. The property is centrally-located too, with the Kraton and Taman Sari nearby.

It was excellent value. The staff were very helpful and friendly
Beautiful building and very clean.

Beautiful building, you can communicate with the staff in English quite well. Excellent breakfast although not very big. Parking directly on the property.
The location was not for us, things like shopping center and restaurants were far. The light from the corridor penetrated the room a lot at night.

It is a wonderful place! The homestay had a quiet charm, with clean, comfortable rooms and a great shower. There was a night market around the corner with delicious food, which also gives tourists a chance to experience local hospitality and charm first hand.

The hotel is is right in Kraton area, walking distance from the Sultan Palace.
The staff was helpful and prepared us breakfast outside of the standard hours.
Free water to refill your bottle.
The sink in the bedroom was quite small.
It was difficult to find places to eat at walking distance.

Great location, very quiet, exceptional assistance with booking a tour, large and comfortable room.

This hotel was the cleanest I ever had in one month of Indonesia. The young man at the reception is really kind and attentive. The neighbourhood is quiet and close to the main attractions.
They could try to offer something different for breakfast for guests staying longer than one or two nights. But for us it was all perfect!

Maybe welcome drink and mineral water in our room.

everything! especially staff . Maria and Bagas are most gracious and accommodating.

the house was certainly not built and designed as a hotel, but as an upper-class family residence with spacious rooms and exquisite furnishings in the rooms and especially in the general accessible areas.
breakfast was good and sufficient
the staff was friendly and helpful without being intrusive
the location was quiet and peaceful
the sights and restaurants were within easy walking distance
probably due to the subsequent installation, the bathrooms were not sufficiently equipped.
no fridge and no minibar

I can’t say enough good things about this place. A large house, with 6 guest rooms, two terraces (one where an amazing breakfast is served), on a quiet back street away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet within walking distance of many of the top sites. The staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. The place is spotless, the AC cold and the wi-fi strong. Steps away from the southern arun-arun, where locals congregate for food and socializing in the evening. Highly recommended.
I’ve heard some folks are put off by the calls to worship from nearby mosques, but I didn’t find that to be a problem. It’s a part of being in Java.

The staff was amazing!Very helpful, friendly with professionalism at the same time and always with smile! The rooms are big, comfortable and clean!A/C good, WiFi good. Location is very good.Has a street food market every night 1'walk!

Nice bungalow with antique elements. It is at a quiet place except some sound of morning preyers.
Unfortunately all the fans were out of order in the open areas. caretakers of the property informed that there has been a thunder and lightning that caused damage to all the fans , since fans parts are difficult to find hence it is taking time to repair

Beautiful building, which is a newly built house inspired by old colonial architecture. Also very nicely furnished, with a big veranda at the front and a lovely breakfast / relaxation room at the back.
Rooms were not super spacious but very clean, good shower and AC, and a big comfortable bed.
Also a great location for exploring the city enter and its sights (The Kraton) as well as getting to the train station quickly (10 min by car) or walk to the neighbouring Prawirotawan with its many restaurants and bars
The staff and service were really not up to standard. The boy(s) who are there fulltime speak little to no English and simple requests such as “can we book one of the advertised tours?”, “can we extend our stay?”, or “can we have a different juice (or no juice!) at breakfast?” were impossible to communicate, even with Google Translate at hand. There is a lady who seemed to supervise it all and she was able to help but she wasn’t around all every day.
Staff also locked the front gate and front door, but weren’t always there to open it for us when we wanted to get in. Neither were we given a key or instructions on what to do. While eventually something always worked out, it made the whole experience feel somewhat inhospitable.

The location inside the kingdom was quiet and you could feel the home atmosphere. The design of the space allowed for plenty of natural light in all directions. The landscaping lends to the space and we were impressed by the lack of mosquitoes and enjoyed watching the geckos feasting on the porch in the evening.
9.0 / 10.0
The hospitality of the staff and the Javanese Joglo setting. I am doing a vlog on this for my YouTube Channel (Daniel Ng). I love the gudeg that they have prepared.
The socket was just only one at the working table. Actually it would be great if the sockets could be for the table lamp, lap top, handphone, watch charger, etc. The more the better. However, they were very helpful and provided me the extension cord.
