Location

Decent size flat a few minutes away from the village
Directly located on the road
Kids room next to boiler room - noise at night when it kicks in

The accommodation answered all our requirements, the welcome package of breakfast, teas and milk etc was great. It was easy to find, lovely and quiet and very clean.
A broom would have been useful to sweep up food crumbs.

I did like is the room itself, very safe and comfortable although location is quite far from southwould. Have to grab a taxi and that cost you £20 but if you have a car and not drinking then its fine.
The greenery outside view from the room window is perfect.
Good parking area and lovely and approchable staff.
Great set of breakfast left from us.
Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom
Good for group of friends.
Just location.it is not in centre of southwould.

Great value for money in an otherwise inflated area
Very comfortable and well provisioned
The bed was very comfortable- however we are used to a super king so found the double small for us.

It was excellent value for money for the area. Location was a little distance out of village so a car essential. The facilities were as advertised. Clean and functional. Top Smart TV. Good internet.
Nothing was bad. Pillows could have been better so bring your own.
9.0
Good directions and easy access.
Very helpful with slight problem we had with the sink.
The place is basic but we knew that when booking.
Pillows - often mentioned in the visitors book - foam and smelled sweaty
And towels - one each and not very generous
But if I’m travelling in this country by car I do pack both as often disappointing.
And we could hear other guests arriving, leaving (the stairs are quite noisy) and singing 🤣

The room was basic but clean, tidy and comfortable. The breakfast was acceptable.
Just needs a general spruce up.

The room was spacious and enhanced with a small kitchen area complete with fridge and microwave. The Lodge is located with a level, 15 minute walk to Walberswick and to the outskirts of Southwold over the bridge. Parking is very straightforward on site and the property provided the essential ingredients for a continental breakfast while we stayed.. Very good value for money - we enjoyed our stay.
The kitchen does need a sink - washing up is a bit awkward.

This was perfect for our requirements. Gated garden right outside the door. Generous amount of food left for breakfast- more than expected.

Comfortable room with all required amenities. Continental breakfast was provided which was a lovely little touch. Checkin instructions were clear and given well ahead of time and our host was speedy to respond to additional questions.

Great location on the outskirts of Walberswick village, ideal for walking to Southwold, Walberswick and the Dunwich Forest. Basic but clean property which offers good value for money. Cheryl the caretaker is always friendly and helpful and gives further breakfast supplies as necessary. The property is also dog friendly.

Very quiet location and walking paths at your doorstep. Lucky we had ground floor apartment very roomy tho noting in feedback book other guests complained when upstairs rooms were occupied te hearing people move about and barking dogs
The smell of the oil heating system located in room with bunk beds glad air was not having to sleep in there. Bathroom was very cold as no heating in place. Shower screen leaked and flooded floor which had no drain .

The accomodation was ideal for my purposes as a single traveller. Although there was a microwave and kettle, tea, coffee and food for breakfast, I ate out. The bed was comfortable and there was a lovely hot shower (which I really appreciated after an early morning swim.)
It took me sometime to spot the little jars of tea and coffee that had been arranged on top of the microwave with their contents obscured by their lids, looking more like spotlights!

Self contained flat for my daughter and I for the weekend of the Southwold Sausage Walk, easy access to a large outside space - fenced garden next to very quiet road into Walberswick - for our not quite fully housetrained puppy; lovely big family sized sofa bed so we could all pile on together in the evening (more cushions, please). Loads of space in the main bedroom for the travel puppy pen which meant the neighbouring rooms weren't kept wake by our dog whining for company in the night. The unit has its own kitchen with a proper cooker, a full sized fridge freezer and there was plentiful hot water. Beds very comfortable and we slept well (extra pillows would be nice); breakfast items generous for two nights (hosts kindly provided non-dairy milk). Didn't meet the hosts but their message communication was friendly and they answered promptly; the woman I spoke with before booking this unit was very helpful. Another reviewer likened the property to more youth hostel than hotel but its a darn nice youth hostel if so. It's not accommodation for those who like luxury but it's perfectly comfortable and in a quiet location a short drive from the village. Would be happy to rebook next time we're in the area.
Couldn't work out heating the first night after long drive with tired child; could have asked next day only it wasn't so cold and I was raised by an Aberdonian so we wrapped up the first night and it wasn't necessary after that as the weather was mild during the rest of our stay. The second bedroom is off the first bedroom and the bathroom off the second bedroom which might matter to some, particularly if those using the bunks are light sleepers but it didn't bother us.

The size of the rooms we're really good. The fact it had a full size fridge, microwave, a kettle and toaster made it easy to cook I just took a camping stove with me to use outside. It has washing up facilities downstairs and a good outside space.
There was nothing I didn't like I thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

with its beautiful Good area for getting around. Also, the surrounding area, and the beautiful walks into Southwold, and the marina were fantastic. Would definitely go again.
1 tiny little quip, would have preferred a little 2 ring top cooker, but not a major problem.

Never met the owner, but the room was perfect for us - spacious, clean, nice spot of breakfast for us to have in the little kitchen area.
Close to pubs down the road.
Bread was...unusual!

This was an impromptu two-night stay as we needed to be away from home while bedrooms were being decorated, so I booked on location and price. The property was clean, the beds comfortable and we were a couple of minutes' drive outside of Walberswick. For a short stay, the property was fine but personally, for a longer stay, I would have found it too basic - particularly to do any real self-catering. It was evident that the accommodation was designed to be cost-competitive compared with other properties in the area (it actually more or less said that on a notice in the entrance hall). Everything was handled remotely, with key codes communicated in advance of our stay, so there was no interaction with the owners. It provided what we needed for a very brief stay.
We had an east-facing bedroom window which could really do either with better fitting curtains or a blackout blind as the room was bathed in bright sunlight from before 5.00am.
Slightly off-putting were the various notices/rules of the house dotted in frames around the rooms - would normally expect this sort of information to be in a folder.
There is a fold-up bed in the sitting area which serves as a sofa. We didn't need to use it as a bed, but as a sofa it was extraordinarily uncomfortable.

Breakfast was simple but fine. The location was lovely, we were able to walk into the town through the lovely common and heath.
It's a small complaint but the sofa was really uncomfortable to sit on, but apart from that we really enjoyed our stay
9.0
Large rooms with ground floor access to the garden for our dog. A gateway directly from the garden to the nature reserve so we could walk into the village avoiding the road. The continental breakfast was very good vale for money.
The gate into the garden needs to automatically close (using maybe a spring) as several other thoughtless guests kept leaving it wide open even though they could see we had a dog who could escape onto the busy road,
