The best breakfast!

Candelaria House provided fantastic hospitality and amazing breakfasts!! The small boutique hotel is tastefully decorated in an artistic way that honours the historic building. Our room was cozy and had two skylights. If you want a room that has a window into the courtyard check into the options. We really enjoyed our stay in this well located place!

Lovely stay

Lovely boutique hotel. Just away from the busy zone . Room was very cosy and tasteful done. Wash rooms are bright with a sky light over the showers. Breakfast is an experience with the person serving each course skilfully in lovely crockery.

Small, beautiful, well located boutique hotel with very friendly staff.

Really nice boutique hotel in a very good and central location in Bogota. Beautifully restored facilities and rooms in an old building provide a colonial atmosphere. Very nice and anytime helpful staff provided me as well with many recommendations what to do in the Candelaria district. Very nice breakfast with fresh juices and fruits. Highly recommended.

Heerlijk verblijf voor het ontdekken van Bogota. Personeel uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Het hotel ligt in het oude centrum op een prima rustige locatie. Een mooie uitvalsbasis voor het verkennen van Bogota.

Cool building, friendly staff and great breakfast.

This is a great stop, a very cool older building remodelled to accomodate guests. It has a lovely courtyard and very friendly owner and staff. The breakfast is excellent. It is well positioned to walking to museums, restaurants and other attractions. Highly recommend.

Beautiful home for a cozy stay in Bogota.

This is a beautiful home with a great location in the old town. It’s not a big hotel, so it’s more like staying in someone’s house. The room was comfortable. Breakfast is cooked to order and nicely done. Host was always there and helpful.

You’re not going to get big hotel amenities. So just be prepared for a small hotel feeling. Not a negative, just expectations.

Lovely hotel with great staff

Everything! The ambience of the property and especially the staff, who were very friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout. The breakfasts were lovely, around a communal table where you could talk to other guests. The location was ideal, near to all the sights of the Candelaria district.

Excellent Candelaria Location and Very Welcoming B&B

The house is historic and lovely with a very welcoming and kind staff. Jairo was exceptional in adding extra care and attention which I value as a woman who was traveling alone. Breakfasts with others around the antique dining table added to the wonderful experience!

Charming, Authentic Accommodation

A charming little place with great WiFi, lovely staff and a delicious, beautifully presented breakfast every morning served with a smile. The electric blankets were an added luxury. Great location.

Tolle Lage für gutes Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis mit sehr bemühtem Inhaber & Personal

Das Frühstück wird mit viel Liebe zubereitet und ich persönlich fand den großen Tisch in einer Art Wohnzimmer auch sehr charmant. So kam man mit den anderen Gästen gut ins Gespräch und konnte Tipps austauschen.

Es gab einen Tag lang kein fließend Wasser. Lag mit Sicherheit nicht an der Unterkunft, das kommt wohl öfters vor in Kolumbien v.a. während den Weihnachtsfeiertagen, als wir dort waren. Das Zimmer (Bibliothek) war grundsätzlich sauber. Die fehlende möglich zu lüften war aber für einen etwas unangenehmen Geruch verantwortlich.

Außergewöhnlich, familiär und zentralgelegenes kleines Hotel

Außergewöhnliches Hotel. Der Eigentümer Camilo war sehr nett und herzlich. Man muss aber die Nähe zu Menschen mögen. Alle Zimmer sind nah beieinander (hellhörig) und man frühstückt an einem großen Tisch zusammen. Sehr familiär. Wir mochten das. Aber sicher nicht jedermanns Geschmack.

Sie war schwierig zu finden, da kein Schild an der Tür angebracht ist.

Séjour très agréable dans un lieu superbe.

C’est un petit paradis. Camélio qui nous a reçu est formidable de gentillesse et de délicatesse. L’hôtel est aménagé avec beaucoup de goût. On s’y sent vraiment très bien.

Tout m’a enchanté. Aucun aspect négatif pour moi.

Mycket trevligt hotell med bra läge.

Hotellet ligger i Bogotás historiska centrum i ett renoverat gammalt hus. Läget är utmärkt och hotellet är bekvämt. Ägaren var mycket hjälpsam med tips och råd gällande vår vistelse i Bogotá. Det finns gott om restauranger i närheten av hotellet och flera av Bogotás sevärdheter ligger inom gångavstånd.

A unique opportunity to stay in a historic home in the Candelaria

The location is perfect for exploring the historic district and enjoying museums, restaurants, and bars within walking distance. We loved getting to know the host, Camilo, and felt well taken care of. The breakfast was tasty and convivial, shared with other lodgers. It was very interesting to stay in a house from the 1800's.

A hardwood floor would be an improvement over the current worn carpet in the room. Extra bath towels and hand towels would be appreciated.

A wonderful experience

Our stay stay at Candelaria House was most enjoyable from all points of view. The room and the whole house combine with extreme good taste the charm of the old mansions of Bogota with new and very efficient facilities (a beautiful and very comfortable bathroom, excellent internet access., etc.). We were served an exquisite breakfast in one of the delightful interior gardens. All the staff is very friendly and efficient, and Camilo gave us all possible help and valuable advice for our visit to the city. If I were to visit Bogota again I would definitely try to come back here!

Lovely, quaint and ideal location with great host

Wonderful and helpful host. Quaint, clean and lovely room. He gave us all the recommendations we’d need for a day in Bogota. Only regret was we missed breakfast - the common areas were lovely and I’m sure breakfast is wonderful. But we will be back to try it!

Great location

Great location, in the Candelaria area. Walking distance to the Botero museum (5 minutes), Gold Museum (15 minutes) and Plaça Bolivar (<10 minutes). Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Great service, especially Lucia who took care of us during breakfast and for taxi arrangements. Breakfast is complete and delicious. Thanks to the owner for accommodating our late check-in.

Nothing much except for the fact that we were not a big fan of the carpet in the room that was a bit humid / moist probably due to the weather in Bogota.

Room with a semi-private courtyard

We stayed at the Deluxe Queen Room. The pictures look identical to the pictures on booking.com except the double sofa. Camilo is very nice and helpful with all things. As we arrived, he gave us a paper copy of the historical district and showed us the most important things to visit. Camilo was always ready to answer any question we had. Lucia, is very friendly and warm and did everything to make us comfortable and respond to our physical needs. Since the house boutique is in the historical district the house itself was built in the 18th century. Houses built at that time have inner courtyards. The house boutique has several of them. Our room faced the smallest inner courtyard. The house is quite chilly as there is no heat. The temperatures in Bogota range from around 10C to 20C year-round. Be prepared to take a sweater with you. The shower, however, has good pressure and is hot. If you like antiquities, this is the place you want to stay at. The location is perfect, and very close to Bolivar square which is the main square that houses the government. You can safely walk everywhere in the historical district.

Great stay right in the heart of the historical centre

The house is located in the heart of the historical centre of Bogota which is full of characters. It is very convenient to walk around to visit top tourist attractions and the buildings around the neighbourhood are very pretty. The house itself is very nicely decorated. Lucia was especially friendly and made us feel welcome. Breakfast was great.

The house is a bit difficult to get to by car. When we first arrived, we had to wait a bit for the host to open the door for us, so it's best if you have a phone with you or specify arrival time in advance.

very nice property, had the library room, which was so beautifully furnished. the bed had an electrical heating mattress which can come in handy for cold bogota nights. breakfast was soo delicious and the area is soo good, in walking distance to everything you wanna see in old town

It was a really pleasant stay in this hotel which is actually a big family house. Everything looks very nice, our room was really great and very well decorated. Whole house is beautiful and the best area is dinnig room, with big table where you can take breakfast with other guest and chat a bit... Really family atmosphere. We had opportunity to drink coffee with the owner one norning, such a charming and smart man. We have enjoyed his company. Staff is also very kind and polite. Really recommend this place.

Only thing that I would like to see improved is breakfast. It is too simple. Some additions to eggs, like ham, bacon or cheese would be nice.

A great place to stay and appreciate the lovely city of Bogota.

The breakfast was excellent. Freshly squeezed juice, fruit, yoghurt plus eggs and fresh bread The girls who worked there were very pleasant. Lucia was smiley and friendly.

Great location in the city center.

The location is perfect, right in the center of the old part of Bogota and walkable to many sights. The owner was very helpful in spending time with us the first evening to review what we should see and tell us of some of the history of Bogota. We felt very safe in this hotel and area.

Superb place to stay in Bogota

Such a lovely residence in the historic part of Bogota. All main sites within walking distance. We felt very safe here. Beautiful room with such a comfortable bed. The staff were exceptional. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay in Bogota.

Nice big room with unique and cozy design. Good location near the historic downtown. Friendly manager.

Apart from the manager, the staff does not speak one word of English, which was problematic because the manager was not there during our check in. No hot water in the shower. TV was not working (which is not important for us while traveling usually but my husband was feeling under the weather and we wanted a night in). The rooms are all connected with a courtyard, which meant hearing everyone in the courtyard speaking from early morning.

Very good taste boutique hotel !!

It was the best place we have stayed in during the 2 weeks we have been in Colombia. The hotel is great, very well decorated, not an hotel for the masses but more like a boutique hotel. The location is also really good, in Candelaria, walking distance for the attractions for tourism in Bogota. The personnel of the hotel is really helpfull and available. The breakfast incredible! I absolutely recommend Candelaria House Boutique!
