Beautiful location. A few minutes from Naxos (good beaches) and 20min from Taormina and ‘The Godfather’ villages.
It’s not a modern house but it’s very well looked after and characterful.
The bedrooms were roomy and it was wonderful to have so many bathrooms with such a big group. The indoor living room and dining space was big enough to hold us all too.
The magical gardens, pool and outside living space were ideal. As was its incredible view of Mt Etna. Breathtaking in the early mornings.
They organised a local cook to create a celebration dinner of regional dishes and wines for the 12 for us which couldn’t have been better. It made our holiday. Overall everyone was so helpful and I would definitely return for another holiday.
A very small detail but we didn’t understand that the kitchen and one of the bedrooms is in a separate annex (ultimately did not matter at all). Also didn’t understand the amount of stairs in the house - but this was only relevant to us because one of our group had restricted mobility.

Prachtige locatie, prima accomodatie om met de kinderen en kleinkinderen te verblijven.
Voor ons was het plaatje compleet!

It is a very beautiful quiet estate out of town with great views of Mt Etna. The house manager Monica made check in and out seamless with fantastic communication. She gave us endless information. Maria, who cooked us breakfast and one dinner made us understand that when you are in Sicily you eat! Her cooking was fabulous and food was plentiful.
We do wish we had been made aware of the very uncomfortable beds, rough sheets and almost rock -hard pillows . We would advise anyone who cares about this comfort to stop at the IKEA just near the airport to purchase $15 pillows, as the owner has obviously not made this effort .
We also would have appreciated a head up on the unusual $50 per day fee for the use of their AC .

Outside seating areas, pool.
Excellent evening meal provided by chef.
For the price, I would have expected more basics to be provided such as salt, pepper, shower gel.

This place is amazing...pool lovely and the gazebo is great. Six loungers. We brought our own inflatables.
The kitchen has a 5 burner hob and oven (only 1 shelf), microwave and big pans for cooking pasta etc. We did loads of cooking as a family as lots of food allergies in our group.
The kitchen is in a different room which you access from outside but it has a bedroom, bathroom and another room off it.
The outside seating area is superb with big tables and chairs. You can see Mount Etna and we saw it erupting on a night of full moon...perfect.
Monica and Maria and everyone are sooo lovely...they will help with anything..instantly responding via watsapp and on hand to deal with any issues or queries at all...felt like they went above and beyond, thank you all.
You can walk to Trapitello with small local shops and a fishmonger. You can get a bus but a car is an advantage.
Beautiful garden, fab boules lane and lovely patios. You won't be disappointed booking here!
Plus there's a fridge and bathroom and bidet in every bedroom and the parking area is covered from the sun.
A small start up kit might be nice e.g. coffee, milk to allow you to have a drink before finding the supermarket.
Just to be aware - you cannot access the property or pool without going up and down 5 five steps. There are steps in the house too.

Our group of 24 had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful estate. We rented out both the main house which comfortably accommodated 12 and the 4 dependances (2 two bedroom & 2 one bedroom units) for an additional 12. This property was absolutely perfect for our large group. We had the use of the entire grounds including two gorgeous pools, an abundance of common space, and the beautiful gardens. In addition, we were able to walk the agricultural area of the estate to connect with nature, get some exercise, and even enjoy a plump lemon or two. Accommodations are, in typical Sicilian fashion, simply but nicely appointed.
This estate has stunning and indescribable views of Mt. Etna from almost any area. While dining at the long table underneath the extra-large gazebo swathed in bougainvillea, we took in the breathtaking views and watched steam emit from the volcano. In our photographs of the grounds at dusk the background appears photoshopped as the scenery is really that surreal.
The staff at the estate was excellent. Maria, who manages the property, is friendly and helpful. She promptly responded to any concerns, questions, or needs as they arose. We did not choose the option of daily housekeeping but the staff appeared thorough on the day that their scheduled day.
Optional breakfasts/dinners are prepared by the onsite gifted chef Maria. Our group chose two dinners at the property. These traditional Sicilian dinners were DELICIOUS and were really the highlight of our stay. At 40 Euro a person the dinners, which included several courses and wine (along with the stunning views highlighted above) were a great value and truly amongst the best meals we have even had anywhere. We even had the unexpected pleasure of meeting Maria's daughter (an acclaimed singer in Italy) and her friend who both happened to be visiting one evening. They reluctantly, but kindly, agreed to share their talents in an impromptu opera performance. Simply magical!
There was nothing unlikable about this property. Just some things of which you should be aware prior to selecting if you are a very particular traveler:
The area is slightly remote. You will need a car or, as we did, require the excellent services of Taormina Car Service to get you around. The beautiful resort area of Taormina is easily accessible but you will require transportation. The gorgeous beaches of Giardini Naxos are closer but still not feasibly walkable. As an added aside re Giardini Naxos, do yourself a favor and head to La Cambusa for a meal as the beachfront location is stunning. You can hop on a boat nearby for a tour as well. We were even fortunate enough to sail past Jeff Bezos' yacht...
The area immediately surrounding this property might be concerning upon first glance. However, our group both walked and drove to stores and restaurants without issue. We were assured that the area was safe and discovered that the raw exterior appearance of the buildings did not match the well-kept interiors and outstanding people who worked there.
Some of our group thought the beds were too firm, others did not. If you require a softer bed you may want to address this with the staff in advance.
We did not choose the daily housekeeping service so we were each provided with one set of towels until our housekeeping visit. As Americans are accustomed to plentiful clean towels, this could be cause for concern. Laundry facilities are available free of charge, however, you may wish to address this with the staff in advance to see if alternative arrangements could be made if this is of concern to you.
There is a 250 Euro flat fee for the use of air-conditioning. If you are traveling in the summer this is a must so be aware.
Some of the rooms have views of the beautiful grounds and gardens. Others, particularly the dependances, have views of the road leading to the property. You do have furnished garden patios at the front of each unit, however.
