Our 2,700 sq. foot home is a 5 bedroom/4.5 bathroom home with plenty of room to sleep 10 comfortably. We hope you find our home and view as relaxing as we do. Enjoy your coffee or cocktails poolside and gaze upon the beautiful turquoise water right out the back door as you take in the stunning panoramic views. Conveniently located just 10 minutes from the airport.

My family and I just got back from Exuma and I’m already itching to go back! Derek was an amazing host and was very attentive to any concerns or issues we had. The house is spectacular. We were a family of 10, including a 1 year old, and we were all extremely pleased. We had access to two cars which made our trip much easier. I would like to personally thank Derek and Janet for their kind hospitality. We cannot wait to book again for next year! A definite must stay home. You won’t regret it.

The Jolly Turtle house was absolutely amazing. The listing photos do not do this house and location justice. The greatest snorkeling and water right in the back yard! The house accommodated 10 of us perfectly and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, close to the market, stores and restaurants. The owner Derek was a pleasure to work with and so was the house keeper Janet. We are sad to leave and can’t wait to plan our next trip back to the Jolly Turtle!!! 10/10 BOOK THIS HOUSE!!

We are a multi generational family of 8 visiting Exuma for the first time. The Super Host and Housekeeper made our 2 week stay absolutely perfect.We were picked up at the airport (plus all our luggage) and brought promptly to the Jolly Turtle House. Beautiful view of Hoopers Bay through the sliders. Seems like the ocean was feet from the living room! BBQ was great, pool was clean and fun for the younger ones and there were numerous sea toys to use. The Housekeeper was terrific on our return flight as it was delayed multiple times. She accomodated our transport time back to the airport 3 times due to a delayed flight with cheerful support. Also the Housekeeper arranged a day to see the swimming pigs and this worked out great for the family. The house is close to George Town and most important amenities. Great experience!

The host made everything so simple and helpful! We even ended up having to be delayed an extra day and they still went over and beyond making our check in with ease. This house has it all! All the fun toys for the kids and adults. We loved the little rock island to kayack and snorkle to daily. Its nice shallow so my friends eight year old went on his own! The location was perfect. A couple minutes from everything you would need as well as the airport. I would say them having two cars to rent as well made our trip seamless since we had six adults and two kids. The rooms were perfect! NICE when we can all enjoy a king size bed! Truly a perfect experience. The home was filled with everything youd need from cooking to family games we had a blast every day and night! Will def stay here again!

the house was extremely nice and the property owner was very helpful. Janet was amazing even with everything she had going on!! The only complaint we had was the beach that is showing in the pic of the house. the beach is all rock, no where to lay and relax and no where for a kid to play on the beach. however, there was a nice place with sand around the patio. just no beach access unless you wanted to wade through the rock. overall was a great house to stay in.

The house looks even better in person than in the photos, it was clean spacious, had everything you could need or want and the whole process from booking to checkout was easy and stress free. The location was really convenient and there was great snorkeling just off the backyard. I can’t wait to stay there again

Was picked up from airport which was a big help as the house includes use of 2 vehicles. Vehicle had a mechanical issue going back to the house. We made lemonade from the lemons as we arrived early at the rental and were allowed to hang in one of the rooms while the housecleaners cleaned from the prior visitors. After they left, we found the house to be quite sandy all over and house didnt really come with some necessities: ie toilet paper , paper towels, dishwasher soap , things we were accustomed to in a price range as this. There were plenty of beach towels and bathing towels throughout.
The homeowner made some adjustments due to some vehicle issues and took care of our problems 100%.
During the stay some “maintenance” was done and the water got turned off. We figured out what happened and rectified the issue.
Overall thou ….. very pleased with the property …. The pool was refreshing , the use of all the beach toys was perfect. Tons of space for entertaining a party of 6 adults.
I would recommend the property and again thanks to the owners for use of the backup vehicle. You really came thru and fixed things as our needs shifted.

The pictures do not do this house justice. The house is gorgeous but the view of the ocean is incredible! We enjoyed the pool and the ocean views. The house is in a great location and the use of the car was great, it fit 7 people. Derek let us check in early and Janet was amazing. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room. I highly recommend renting this beautiful home in paradise.

Just finished a week stay at Jolly Turtle and I cannot say enough amazing things about the house, the location, Derek the owner, Janet the house manager, and our stay overall. There were 9 of us, 4 adults and 5 kids ranging from age 13-23 yrs. Everything you need is provided, from cookware, to beach towels, to washer dryer, to water floaties, stand up paddle boards, etc. And the extra amenities take this place above any dream. Not that you ever want to leave the amazing cove and water right outside the back door, but if you do, the pool is another great place to hang out. Derek the owner was super responsive and helpful with any questions we had, and Janet the house manager is absolutely lovely and available by text or just stopping by if you need (she helped us figure out how to get the Nuggets play offs on the tv when we couldn’t get it from our cable service from the states). All promises, you will love this house!!

We had a great time at the Jolly Turtle. The house is right on the beach, and our own private pool. The owner has paddle boards, kayaks, floats, all you need to have an amazing stay. There was plenty of bedrooms for Our family of 6 adults and 2 children. Janet the caretaker was amazing (grandkids gave her a hug when we were leaving). If you needed anything all you had to do was call her. I can’t say enough good things about our family vacation at this place. Absolutely loved it. Would recommend to anyone. One of the best spring breaks we’ve had.

Everything was great. Excellent communication with host and local support. Pick-up and drop-off at airport a nice bonus convenience. The included car for use another great convenience and value. We were only two adults but house very well set up for large family/families or multiple couples. Great location - close to amenities, central to beaches at both ends of the island. Very easy to get around. Beach not quite as sandy as the picture looks but provides lots of paddle boards/kayaks/snorkeling gear to enjoy the water easily.

First we want to say Thankyou! We had an amazing stay in your worry free Island Time Waterfront Home. The Jolly Turtle home comes with rental cars which Thankyou again, was a godsend. The large living, kitchen, dining areas made our stay comfortable for 8 adults. Derek and Janet were amazing!!! Very helpful and welcomed us like we were family. We were all first timers to the Island and hope to return again.
Our advice on must see activities: make sure to catch the mile long sandbar at low tide, some deep-sea fishing, and check out the Island beaches! You'll never see tropical aqua water colors anywhere else. A must next time, is to have the first couple of days of grocery shopping delivered ahead of time especially if you arrive after 5pm and/or on a Tuesday or Wednesday when most restaurants are closed.

Had a wonderful experience at the Jolly Turtle! Derek is a great host, wonderful communicator and has appointed the home to tend to every need. A very comfortable, quiet and enjoyable stay. The home is well-marked on the highway and a familiar residence to service car drivers for those travelling by taxi. Close enough to Georgetown to enjoy attractions and dining there and for a more local flavor, very close to the "Fish Fry" which is a group of local restaurants, pubs and walk-up dining.

The house was great with everything we needed and more. Great location, convenient to George Town, groceries and the airport. We were on the water with kayakes and standup boards every morning. Gorgeous sunrise every morning while drinking coffee on the deck. Owner was quick to respond and accommodating to our needs. Pictures of beach in front of the house need to be updated and some mattresses may need to be replaced. Those are minor issues considering all the other wonderful things this property offers. We would love to stay again in the future for another family vacation.

We immediately went back online to find a place that would accommodate 10 people and came across the Jolly Turtle. We are so happy we did. Derek, the owner, was so responsive and Janet, the caretaker was so helpful in anything that we needed. The house is just like it says it in the listing. Couldn't get closer to the water without being on it. Loved that we had the use of the SUV for the week included. This made getting groceries and to other places super easy. The house is perfectly located, it was about 5-10 minutes from the center of town. There was plenty of space for 9 adults and 1 baby. The wind was going everynight, which we found out was a great thing. One night there was zero wind and the little bugs came out long enough to get some bites, but then the wind picked up after about 1/2 hour and no more bugs. Bring bug spray just in case. Anything you could want they had and if not just ask Janet. She was able to hook us up with fishing guides and tour guides. Everything about the listing is exactly as stated. Derek, by far, was the most active homeowner I have ever rented from. He answered all of my many questions and gave names and numbers of attractions and chefs. It was very apparent he wanted us to enjoy our time in George Town!
Once we arrived Janet escorted us to the house and told us where to buy beverages and groceries. Everything is a short drive. Janet also answered additional questions we had along the way.
Derek has vehicles to rent. It was extremely handy!
Keep in mind, it is a rental, on the beach. The floors are going to be gritty. Just take in the view and forget about it.
Glass doors and windows throughout the dining and living rooms. Do not walk into them. Many of the girls did this. Try not laughing at that.
There are plenty of dishes, drinkware and cutlery. The dishwasher is decent. Not everyone takes care of cookware as you may in your own kitchen so is a bit worn.
There are plenty of beach and bath towels. Washer and dryer do their job!
There were nine girls in my group. The house was very comfortable and not over crowded. The dining table was perfect for meals, games and conversation.
You won’t go wrong in choosing this house!

This was my family's 4 trip to Exuma and this property is in a great location north of Georgetown. Smitty's Convenience store is about a minute drive away as well as CNK liquor store!!
We love having the fresh water pool to relax in after being in the salty ocean all day long. We took advantage of the paddle boards and ocean kayak that is provided to explore the Bay Area. The owner has 2 cars available for rent which is very convenient, depending on the size of your group. More than enough space for 10 guests. The only drawback was the amount of seating in the living room as there was only one couch and 2 chairs whose stability was questionable. Our group spent many a night playing cards at the large dining table. Wi-Fi in the house was excellent for communicating back to the states and for the kids to keep in touch with their friends. Janet, who takes care of the house was there within an hour after our arrival making sure everything was okay and making sure that we did not need anything additional.
Jolly Turtle House is a great property with everything that you and your guests could possibly need. We wold definitely stay at this property again!

Beautiful home in a great location!
We spent 10 days here with five couples and had an amazing time! Communication with owners and the property manager was better than we could have expected. They were available to answer our questions before the trip as well as handle any needs we had during our stay. While we were there the winds were extremely high so we were not able to take full advantage of the beautiful pool and bar area as much as we would have liked to. I guess we'll have to come back.

This was our second visit to Exuma. We chose the Jolly Turtle House based on location and amenities. It did not disappoint! I can’t say enough great things about this property. Beautiful ocean view, gorgeous beach, relaxing pool area, spacious home and great location. It is very private, however, also only a few minutes from everything you need including restaurants, groceries, etc. Property management is second to none. Every step of the process from booking to check-out was effortless. All questions and needs were addressed in a timely manner. Such a beautiful place and relaxing getaway!

Paradise in Exuma
7 of us went to Exuma for my birthday. The house was perfect for all of us. Great location in the middle of of everything you need. The grocery store and the liquor store which is right next to it was only a 2 minute drive from the house. 10 minutes from the airport. Definitely get a rental car there are no sidewalks and taxis are expensive. We were there in the off season so not much open but we managed to eat out at fish fry down the road it was excellent. Make sure you go to the pig roast on Sunday at Chat N Chill. Back to the Jolly turtle house. Janet the property manager had everything ready for us when we arrived. Pool/ beach towels so you don’t have to bring your own which was nice. All the dishes and cooking utensils you need if you choose to cook at the house which we did a lot. Washer and dryer if you need it. The pool was very nice a good place to cool off if you don’t want to go in the ocean that is only 10 steps away. If you’re looking for paradise look no further. Tiffany the owner made sure we were all set and was there if we needed anything. We will be back!

Annual Boys Trip.
My 3 sons and 3 of their friends spent a week at the Jolly Turtle House. The house was perfect for us to hang out together or get away in one of many bedrooms. We rented the car from Derek (one of the owners) and this made it very easy to get around the island. We cooked in the house almost every night. The house is supplied with all the cookware and utensils we would ever need...thank goodness. Having a pool to take a dip in was a major plus for us. Also, the bar set up is much nicer than is displayed in the pictures. We spent a lot of time outside hanging out. Bring a bluetooth speaker if you want to listen to music. My boys went out on the paddle board and snorkeled around the rock in the back. If you are an early riser this house is great. If you like a dark room the only way to make it this way is to roll down the hurricane shutters. I personally didn't do this because of fire safety issues and not having a place to get out if something happened. A couple of the boys on the bottom floor did this. I would suggest some sort of black out shades for the upstairs rooms...just my two cents. Other than this, the house was a perfect place for us to have fun together and enjoy the great view from the house. Thanks Tiffany and Derek. We are glad that you shared your awesome home with us.

Wonderful Stay at the Jolly Turtle!
Our Empty Nesters group of 8 had the most amazing time in Exuma! The Jolly Turtle was the perfect spot for us to relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful island and underwater treasures that surround Stocking Island. There is plenty of space to gather, whether by the pool and tiki bar, the back porch, on the beach at the water’s edge or in the dining room with amazing views. There is plenty of seating with lots of options and the location of the house offers the perfect balance of convenience and privacy.
Tiffany was very responsive and it was a true pleasure getting to know Janet, who was eager to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. She provided us with all sorts of recommendations and even coordinated water taxi pick ups and drop offs right behind the house. Janet is very hospitable and her homemade Bahamian mac and cheese is out of this world!
