About this house rental
Stunning new house in central Dawlish. This property is easily accessed from the railway station which is a ten minute walk at most, though it has its own private parking space at the side of the property. The centre of the town is a couple of minutes away, with its shops, the brook housing the famous black swans, and there is a handy supermarket just across the road with several large ones locally.
This red brick, semi-detached house, is very central and has been newly renovated to a high specification. It features high quality fittings, new carpets throughout and luxury tiles in the bathrooms, entrance hall and kitchen areas. Guests will have the benefit of staying in a tasteful, new home.
The property has three floors:-
Ground floor: - cosy and grey carpeted, this elegant living room has a Smart TV
and wi-Fi.
Spacious Kitchen - dining room with stylish limestone tiled flooring. Siemens induction hob and dishwasher. Ikea fan oven. Old-fashioned pantry with marble slab.
Large dining table able to seat 8 (or 10 at a push!).
Ground floor toilet and washbasin, utility room with washer dryer and freezer.
1st floor:- Upmarket shower room, washbasin with soft-closing drawers.
Blue room - double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables.
White room - as blue room
2nd Floor : Large attic room, properly converted and insulated, which has its own bathroom (with a sloping ceiling) Blackout blinds for a peaceful night. There is also a single chair which converts to a bed and a travel cot (but no bedding for that).
The house benefits from its own parking space, a sunny rear patio and garden on a higher terrace and plenty of garden furniture.

Nice property with comfortable beds, good quality bedding. Plenty of kitchen utensils and crockery. Garden was a disappointment. Steep steps to reach top tier which was very neglected.

Wow…even better than home!
Just incredible. From the minute you turn the front door key and enter number 78 your heart rate calms and work stress melts away. For a mix of knackered parents and ‘vibing’ teens the house is a perfect tonic. We could go our separate ways in the day and convene for a fabulous takeaway and slightly too competitive game of cards in the evening . Can’t stress enough the fabulousness of the outside space. Breakfast on the patio and a cheeky glass of rose in the late afternoon sunshine. Perfect. And when it rains? Who cares ? The inside is just as welcoming. Plus, Gilly you are a star and your helpfulness alone is a deal clincher…don’t want to go back to reality… hey ho….

Short walk to the Park and beach . We have a 2 and 3 year old grandchildren so it was a perfect location in a very pleasant town. Thank you.

Fantastic house where they had thought of everything. I was a bit worried that the location would be on a busy street but this is perhaps the sleepiest high street ever. It is an ideal location for the town and beaches without having to take the car out all the time but also a great base for longer trips. Only thing missing from the house is perhaps a fan for the top bedroom. We were there during some particularly hot weather and the bedroom in the loft got very hot.
Would definitely return.

All rooms were clean. The owners had provided lots of toiletries and towels, extra bedding and pillows. There were lots of little touches that make the house feel like a home.
Communication with the hosts was excellent even though they were on the beach in Greece...they still replied to my query.
We will definitely be looking to book again next year.

Great place and lovely owner
We stayed during the carnival week and had a lovely week.
The house was lovely, Gilly was really helpful before we arrived and the neighbour who helps look after the house was super friendly and helpful.
The house was well done out and it’s a great location in the middle of Dawlish.
We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again and highly recommend the house.

Perfect Location for Accessing Many Attractions, Dawlish is a Lovely Little Town with Superb Beach
Excellent location. Lots to do locally with easy access to many attractions. Beautiful beach just a short walk. House has spacious rooms, well equipped, excellent parking outside front door. We met with the owners on first day of our holiday, lovely people.
Very pleased with our accommodation and area.
