Spend some days exploring Capital Reel - the least crowded of all the nearby national parks. The property is tucked away from traffic on a well-kept graded dirt road, easy to traverse in any car, and bordered by the Fremont River. Updates coming in July 2024 include fire pit, hammock, and more.

Very clean and fun attention to the details.

What a Suprise, this is such a nice location. cabin so nice. I think the quietest place I have ever been. zero complaints. great A/C wall heater too. didn't need a fire place.

We stayed in the cabin for a week. It's a great base for exploring Capital Reef. The cabin is quite homey, and comfortable for two people.

The cabin has so much potential! My husband and I stay in VRBO units several times a year and this is perhaps the first one that was slightly disappointing.

The place was very fun and offered great views. The only "issue" was we had to move some of the stored sheets and other items in the closets order to make more room for our own stuff. Also, the listing says that the river is on the property, when it's actually located across another property (we talked to that particular property owner who was very nice and told us we how to access the river). Didn't see a fire pit there either. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay.

We loved staying in this very efficient nicely updated cabin. The setting is in a lovely valley. The bed is super comfortable although there is not much maneuvering room around it but we just slid on and off the end of the bed. Great shower, comfortable sitting area, well equipped kitchen, good internet and nice big screen tv. I can see that the bedroom could get chilly in the colder months. I’d read that and we took a small portable space heater with us which was nice to keep the chill out. The night skies are amazing. We would definitely stay here again.

Was a nice location with easy access getting to the arches, capitol reef and canyonland. Hiked tons. Never did figure out how to walk over to river. As a veterinarian was drawn to the horses, they are pretty far in the pasture.

Cabin is in an awesome location and is very clean and comfortable. The only negative we have is we were so disappointed that the fireplace is non operational. We didn't know until we received the check-in instructions about this. By the picture in the listing we were hoping for a fireplace to sit in front of on the 20 degree Torrey nights.

Cabin was small, but cozy. Perfect for 2, could fit 4. Bed was very comfortable.

Enjoyed our stay. Very remote and quiet. A little chilly when the temps drop into the 20'S. Could use a secondary heat source in the bedroom.
Overall, a great place to stay.

My husband and I stayed here w/our 10 and 11yo boys. The location was secluded and quiet, just a 10 minute drive on a gravel road to the main street in town. There were excellent views of the stars at night and my boys were thrilled with the very friendly local cat that stopped by.
The cabin was cozy and very well-equipped. The bed was probably the most comfortable I've slept on in a rental (although my boys did complain about the pull-out couch) and you could tell a lot of thought had gone into maximizing the space.
The property manager was very responsive and checking in/out was easy. If you're looking for a fun day activity we highly recommend the horse-back riding tours w/Wilderness Ridge Adventures.

We had a great stay!! Good proximity to all the trails we wanted to hike. The cabin was perfect for the two of us. The cat was bonus, we really wanted to know where it belonged since it was super friendly!

This cabin was a brief drive to all that Capitol Reef National Park had to offer. It was up-to-date, comfortable, clean, and serene. We actually spent more time at the cabin than we expected because it was so comfortable and relaxing there. And yes, it does appear to have a little gray kitty keeping watch over the outside of your cabin. Such a sweet cat with nothing but good vibes. We absolutely loved the cat! That being said, if you hate cats, this is not the accommodation for you! This was our favorite stay over a two week western states trip. Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful cabin. So, so restful.

My husband and I stayed here to be near Capitol Reef. It is about a 20 minute drive to the national park. The cabin was in a beautiful and private location. The grey cat that lives on the property is absolutely sweet and sassy; she just wants love (and to get let in the house)! Keep in mind fishing is not allowed in the river on the property, but Cody was great with letting us know where we could go to fish.

Fell in love with the cat who hung around the whole time . We were sad to leave him, but were assured by the manager that he has a good home.

It does feel a little remote, yet it is the most peaceful and relaxing place….we could’ve stayed much longer..

This was a lovely spot, but the cabin seemed neglected and was dirty and felt unloved. The owner neglected to tell us the heat didn't work and we didn't discover an alternate heat source until the 2nd day. the location was perfect, but the cabin needs love.

Property was not on a horse ranch and not very close to the Freemont River, as advertised. The view off the deck consisted on two broken down vehicles, a rusty horse trailer with a flat tire, and an old piece of excavation equipment. Not the type of view one would expect from the advertisement. Overall the property was not very clean or appointed as you would expect from a VRBO property.

Unique cabin in a beautiful spot. Pictures are accurate. Would recommend and stay again.

Had a great time staying for 2 nights. Had to look for batteries to change the tv remote and wish the outdoor fireplace was closer to the cabin, but no major issues.

10 miles from Capitol Reef NP, log cabin style one bedroom ranch, clean and comfortable, would recommend

Ignore the fire pit have to go through weeds knee high, no wood. Road is dirt or mud depending on the weather. Inside is very nice though with a good deck. Cabin manager was very good responding to our needs.

The cabin had a modern bathroom, updated refrigerator and
very usable kitchen sink and faucet. The interior was paneled,
the bed most comfortable bed. The area is looking at a magnificent canyon with horses and cows in a pastoral setting.
We just loved it.

Cool cabin vibe minutes from Torrey town proper with Capitol Reef access nearby
This spot was good but a little pricey for what it is. It was a cool place to stay during our visit to the CR national park. Kitchen was pretty well equipped and allowed us to cook our meals there. The only complaint......was the cat. This place comes with a cat. Cat wanted inside all the time. It finally squeezed through the cracked open bathroom in the middle of the night. Friendly cat but we are not cat people and spouse is highly allergic.

Beautiful and Relaxing
The cabin is absolutely beautiful! We spent our days hiking in Capitol Reef National Park and our evenings relaxing on the porch at the cabin. The cabin had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and the shower great. The piece and quite and the night sky were worth the 3 mile drive on gravel roads.

Comfortable
We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Comfortable. Could use a deep clean of windows, so the view could be enjoyed. We replaced batteries for remote.

Great getaway
Wonderful stay. Cabin was well furnished with everything we needed. Bed was comfortable. Potential renters should understand that the cabin is a bit isolated (which we welcomed). The nearest town (Torrey)is several miles away over gravel roads. The best local grocery store is about 19 miles away in Loa. But the views in this little valley, the dark skies and the peace and quiet are well worth it.

Terrific getaway
We had a terrific weekend unplugged. Capitol Reef National Park is very near by and was a marvelous experience. The night sky at the cabin was stunning! Just great all around.

Peaceful cabin time
The property is really nice and is in an exceptionally beautiful area of Utah. The cabin is very cozy and homey. Its simple, but it has everything you need to make good meals and have a comfortable stay.

Very Nice little cabin bed was comfortable, shower was very nice would stay here again.
Nice place to stay, but I will say that the fire pit area by the river could be really cool with the addition of a couple Adirondack chairs & a Lean to with some dry fire wood…as is it’s pretty useless. That’s my only issue & it’s not a big deal but it would be a great addition to the property.

Stay amongst the locals yet only a short ride to Capitol Reef National Parks!
Comfortable cabin down a 2 mile gravel road. Great views along the way. Well stocked kitchen and great deck to watch the sunset. WiFi was very spotty and non-existent at times but we weren’t there to watch tv or surf the internet.

Beautiful cabin in beautiful Torrey
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was nicely renovated and well kept. I love staying in a place that holds a piece of history with it. Cody was responsive when we needed something. The area is absolutely gorgeous!! We cannot wait to go back to explore more of Torrey and the surrounding area. I look forward to staying at Cody's cabin again.

Beautiful spot / peaceful retreat
The cabin is in a great location in a “dark sky zone” with restrictions on lights so the view is the stars are incredible. We comfortably slept four people and had everything we needed in the kitchen + outside grill. Simple, clean, updated accommodations.

Quaint cabin close to Capital Reef
Cute cabin off the beaten trail (about 4 miles) had all we needed for our stay to visit Capital Reef (about 30 minutes). We enjoyed walking the dry run off creekbed looking for rocks right behind the cabin. We walked to Fremont River through pasture which was a little farther walk. Beautiful views.
