One of Folly's Best! G.O.'s Getaway is a 3 bedroom 3 bath elevated home. Enjoy ample parking for autos boats and jet skis. This classic Folly Beach getaway has an open floor plan that spans from the living room to the dining area and kitchen. Relax and take in the sights of the waves or stream a good movie via Roku with your personal login. Eight guests will be very comfortable here. The primary bedroom has a king size bed, tv, private bath and ocean views. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and also offers an ocean view. The third bedroom has one king bed and one twin bed. There is another twin bed just beyond the living room area. Outside there is a large elevated open deck as well as a screened in porch both perfect for enjoying the ocean sights and sounds. Underneath the house there is an area for grilling and chilling out after a long day at the beach. You will also find an outdoor shower and the third bathroom can be found underneath the house as well. G.O.'s Getaway allows up to 3 well-behaved, house-broken, flea-treated dogs with approval. Please include the breed and size of your dog when you inquire. Please note: charcoal/propane and cleaning of grill is the responsibility of the guest. Place was great! Rustic feel made it more relaxing. Perfect location. Easy, and very short walk to the beach. Lovely view from the deck! Great for our family - good supply of linens and kitchen items. Good seating. Loved that there is a latching gate at the top of the deck so the dogs could ait with us easily there. Easy check-in & check-out! Handy outdoor hoses/sbower to clean off from the beach. Hope to come back again!

Chose rental even though a lot of negative reviews because of closeness to beach. Only real issue was smell upon entry but I'd brought air fresheners. Deck was rocky and some of the planks were tripping hazards. Loved the fact of 3 bathrooms and the one below house was clean and usable for showering too. Nice shady below deck. Nice screen porch. I would recommend and would choose them again.

I think the title said it all! The kitchen could really use a dishwasher and stove fan. Even though space was a little tight and the furniture, carpets, cabinets, etc are probably from around the 1970’s- 80’s, the beds were very comfortable and the entire interior was immaculately clean. Also the patio furniture is getting pretty rusty. Not sure how long you can continue to rent this place out without some refurbishing. However, the online descriptions didn’t lie. We were ok there because of the cleanliness, but I wouldn’t rent this house again in it’s current condition.

On February 28 I booked the beach house from 5/31 to 6/03 to attend a June 3 beach wedding for my older son. I found out on March 7 that his fiancé had called the wedding off due to my son’s medical issues. I called Folly Beach Rentals on either March 7 or 8 and asked if they could put back on the market to see if someone else might rent. At the time, the rental was non-cancellation. I usually do not book these types of rentals but I needed a house with 3 bedrooms that also allowed 3 dogs. When the wedding was cancelled my younger son decided that he wasn’t going to come. I did not purchase travelers insurance and that of course was a big mistake on my part. The rental agency refused to help me in any way so my husband and I along with my 18 granddaughter came to the beach. I found the beach house was very dated but very clean. After reading the note that the owner left, I knew this house had many happy times and great memories. The family room had a sofa, loveseat and a nice lazy boy rocker. The kitchen was well stocked even though we only used for breakfast. There was a nice Keurig coffee maker along with a toaster oven and microwave. The refrigerator was very clean but has no ice maker. There is no dishwasher either. The master bed was very comfortable and I liked the ceiling fan. The master bathroom was small but had great water pressure. Great view from deck.

Great location from Charleston. Good distance from beach. Property great for the kids and dogs. Loved screened in porch and deck with gate. Area under the house was nice when it rained. Would rent again

This property is in a perfect location if you like to surf or watch surfing. The home is older but very clean. It can accommodate a lot of people comfortably. The management company Folly’s Best is very welcoming and responsive. Just a heads up, there is no dishwasher (but we had teenage boys for that). All and all a great place to stay. My only issue was that we wanted to make the most of our travel days and early check in and late check out was not a possibility. For us personally it makes this property less desirable but I can say everything else was as described or better. FYI, the water pressure in the showers was great. That was really nice after long days in the water and on the beach. I saw another review saying the pillows weren’t great. The beds and the pillows were very comfortable and there were lots of blankets.

Good location and quite spacious. Management company was prompt and courteous. This is a very lived in home in need of some updates. If getting to Folly and having lots of room and beds is what you need, this is a good bargain. This has a great porch and deck and is a three min walk from a great part of the beach. Frankly we were hoping for more but this house might fit a guys week or some families with need for lots of space and low end pricing. Dogs are allowed. It is clean but aging, if that makes sense. It needs updated carpet after many years of dogs and some of outdoor furniture is rusting which is an easy fix. Other than that, nice location and nice for the right family or situation.

We were very pleased with these accommodations, very clean and had all the amenities we required. Access to the beach was wonderful. The only negative comment is the screen porch was unusable due to two missing screen panels. This was unfortunate, as we would have enjoyed this and thought this would be available.

The house has a classic beachy vibe just outside of the busier part of the island. Water was perfect with great waves all weekend. Friendly neighbors and everything we needed was at our fingertips. We'd definitely come back!

This place was pretty great. A big yard, big deck, plenty of room inside, and very close to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. However, a few things we wish we would have known in advance: 1) The pillows are not super comfortable. If you're sensitive to that, bring your own. 2) The property managers don't have anything to do with what's inside the house, so if there is an issue with anything, there's really no one who can help. There were only 2 forks at this rental property and they said they couldn't help with that. So we had to take turns with who got forks. 3) The AC is not great. It struggled to get lower than 74/75. They do have fans, but prepare for poor AC. Overall, however, a lovely place to stay and relax.

I couldn’t gain entrance due to not handicap accessible. At the time I booked it was advertised as handicap accessible, after not being able to get in I called and she said okay thanks for letting us know and you will not get a refund, not even for the pet charge, pet deposit, cleaning fee etc

Family fall Outing. Reviewed on Saturday at one rate, reserved12 hrs later on Sunday the rate had increased for my 5 visit dates Tues to Sat, then decreased on Sunday after our Saturday checkout. We enjoyed the calm of the week. We liked the screened porch most. It is really thrift store furnishings mixed with nice pieces of artwork and knick knacks. Homey. mismatched items, plates mugs. Wooden rocking chairs on porch from grandma's house. Nice welcome bag from agency. Morris Island lighthouse visible at the end of driveway. Overall we had a nice time even with the rainy days. Although, One night we heard the profanity of someone from a nearby home.

Stayed here with family and our pet frenchie. Perfect location to the beach, only a short 3-5 minute walk (right across the street). The inside is dated and worn BUT we found it cozy and honestly perfect for our stay. It's a few blocks away from the crowded area in Folly and seemed to be near the quiet side of the beach which was perfect for the kids and dog. Everything in the house worked great, it was nice to have a full kitchen and washer and dryer. would definitely stay here again.

This was a very nice and quiet location, but the house was a little outdated. It was fairly clean, but smelled a bit like mildew when we first arrived. We opened the doors and windows, and it was better. The dryer was outside in the outdoor room, and that was a bit annoying. Overall, our stay was great ams no major issues or problems. It was actually the best view I’ve had at Folly, and I enjoyed watching the sunrise from the porch each day!

We had a great week staying at Go’s Getaway! The property was just as pictured and the amenities were clean. We were steps from the beach, and we had plenty of parking for our 3 cars. Our only downside was loud neighbors each night. We will stay here again!

Me and my family of five had a nice relaxing visit to this property. The unique location gives you tons of parking and privacy yet we were in the middle of the fun. The views from the deck of the ocean were perfect without paying front row price. The property is as advertised taking us back to a simpler beach rental time with smaller rooms and dated decorations and that was perfect for our family who was looking to relax in a fun and clean environment for a good value. Great community from the property manager throughout the stay as well. Enjoyed!

Rented this home for my son’s graduation. It was just as described, a laid back beach house. It was clean,furniture was older but clean. We used the screened in porch and deck from sunrise to sunset. It was a short walk down the driveway to the beach. Would recommend this to anyone I know going to Folly beach.

This was our second year staying at this house. Overall we were happy, but were disappointed that this year there was a big jump in price. The first year the per night price was nearly half of what we paid this year. At the increased rate, we were not nearly as satisfied considering the accommodations. The house is certainly clean and completely functional, but just a funky beach house. The dishes, utensils, pots and pans are a complete mismatch. We struggled to find matching lids to the pots. Certainly harder to look over those things given the rate hike. On our last night the air conditioning went out somewhere around 2am. We called first thing in the morning and technician responded quickly. Everyone was very apologetic, certainly these things happen. But it was a very uncomfortable night and morning.

Folly beach is known for being a more funky island and not completely transforming to the mega-beach houses (although there are some). THIS HOUSE is the true Folly Beach style! The house is furnished with thrift store finds and funky art, but was clean, tidy and super comfortable! We loved the open floor plan, the BIG DECK, and the ocean views. Just a short walk to the "washout" beach area where we watched a youth surf competition! My entire family was super comfortable here and we loved our stay! The posting did not clarify if there was a grill, just want to mention that there is! The 3rd bathroom is a utility bath located under the house, great for the boys!
