Stayed at location for recent work trip. 3 very comfortable bedrooms, 2 bathrooms all very clean. Kitchen was good for quick reheats or stovetop cooking. Agree with previous reviews- tons of plates and glasses- however coffee maker and microwave old, and slow. Kitchen pans and other bowls look like garage sale leftovers. They were clean, but nothing was organized, had to dig around, and frying pan looked rusted. New washing machine but dryer was 30 years old and very hot. Entry door has deadlock, but second 1st floor door has simple interior lock- no deadbolt. This made us very uncomfortable. Living room was nice and internet was great. Would recommend if you just need a bed or have overflow guests- but this is not a house I would have enjoyed relaxing in or hanging out.

Nestled in a very Woody area.It was wonderful to sit back relax and listen to the quiet. The setting and the house were great. Would definitely book it again

The house was really comfortable and fairly complete with just about everything you need. Beds were super comfy too. It had the vintage charm of a favorite grandma’s house.
Only a couple recommendations: window coverings in upstairs bedrooms. There is a skylight right above the beds which brings in bright morning light on your face! Early morning wake up! Usually on vacation we like to sleep in but not possible in those rooms.
Also one of upstairs bedroom had no mini blinds or anything to darken the room from the morning sun. Only sheer curtains! But the record player, vinyl record collection, books and piano in the living room were a sweet extra. Overall a great place. We would definitely return.

Liked it a lot. The house was totally prepared for visitation with even the little things all set. My strongest suggestion would be some safety bars in the downstairs shower. Could not figure out how to operate the television. I would definitely use it again.

This home is not fancy, but it has all the amenities you need, it's roomy, clean and a wonderful location. I'd book it again.

We had many people out for a family function and we needed a little extra space other than our home nearby. It worked out perfectly and the location was spot on! I would just this place again.

This place is perfect for someone looking for simple comforts and location. I used it for 2 months while waiting for a home closing. Fully set up kitchen, nice area around the house for my dogs to venture, quiet yet close to many attractions.

The front door is weirdly bolted shut. You have to go around to the front door to get the key from the lockbox only to go back to the back and unlock the door. When it’s cold, dark and rainy/snowy figuring this out was a bummer. Once we were in the place met our needs and was clean. The location is awesome. I would stay there again!

This home was very private and cozy! The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The living room felt very homey. The yard is beautiful with lots of trees and a front/back porch. We will definitely be back!
Thanks again!

Even by Bainbridge standards, this was a lot of money for what it was. we understood it was a modest home but it was also poorly cleaned. We vacuumed up so much dog hair and dirt from the floor—especially the living room carpet and main bedroom upstairs, and a lot of the pots and pans were not clean either. The upstairs shower drain was very slow and the towel rack was just sitting precariously on the bracket—eg instantly collapsed if you tried to hang a towel on it. The couch was cool looking but musty smelling. Cupboards were overloaded with uncurated dishes and random pantry items, presumably from prior guests. The yard was pretty roughly maintained but the setting/location was overall pleasant, particularly the nearby access to the lovely Hidden Cove beach for sunsets.

The accommodations for this property were lovely. There was a retro 50’s- 60’s feel to the place with it’s decor. The beds were cozy, the property was private and very clean. It was perfect for our little get away to explore Bainbridge Island. Nearby towns off the island and everything on the island only about 20 minutes away max. Plenty to see nearby on the island, or to stay in and just enjoy being together. I recommend checking out Pia the Peacemaker troll, the Japanese American Exclusion Memorial, and Fort Ward, not to mention the charming downtown area. There are plenty of wineries and breweries on the island as well. A great property in a great location.

Checkin was quick and pleasant. The house was extremely clean. Neighborhood was quiet and close to anything you would want to see on Bainbridge island. Maintenance of the house was lacking. Ever go to your grandma’s house in the country and couldn’t figure out the light switches? A lot of little things broken yet still working? That’s this place.

Peaceful setting, well stocked, clean and comfortable home. Hope to stay here again.

It was such a amazing property. So cozy, clean, and old fashioned. 10/10 would recommend. When we return we know where we will be staying

I had a very nice stay at the house with my doggies. It was very clean and quiet. The neighborhood was very nice and is great place to walk, jog, or walk your dog!
We had Thanksgiving there and the house was fully equipped with all the kitchen amenities we needed. I would definitely stay here again.

The kitchen was generously stocked with anything needed to make meals from there. It was very homey feeling.

Our five night stay on Bainbridge was overall positive, and a good spot for exploring Seattle, especially since we enjoy taking the ferry into the city. The house was older and fairly basic (kind of like a well loved family cabin), but clean and the beds were okay. Appliances are newer, which was helpful, and the kitchen had everything we needed though a lot of was a mishmash of older items. We did enjoy the authentic mid century modern furniture in the living room and playing a few records on the hi-fi. The neighborhood is lovely, very quiet, and the property is beautiful (though the grass needed to be mowed). Not the most glamorous of vacation rentals, but it worked well for our needs and a home base.

All good, except the beds
Location fantastic. House as pictured. Nice kitchen with good utensils. Only down side were the beds. They all should be replaced. House warn, but adequately clean.

Def rustic, not fancy
We weren’t looking for a fancy retreat, just a place to stay while work was done on our house. Interior is very old and the carpet is terrible/should really be replaced. The exterior has a ton of trash/junk sitting around. Power was out for 28 hours (no utilities) and host never returned an email. Glad this wasn’t for a vacation.

Perfect for families and dogs
This is a rustic cabin to be sure, so if you are looking for updates and amenities, skip this one. However, it’s perfect for young families and pets. Cozy, antique and fun - large mostly enclosed yard for play. Easy access to Bainbridge fun. Definitely no extras, you may want to check on what is stocked in the kitchen as far as cooking and cleaning supplies, but it’s a solid place if you want space to roam and no worries for wear and tear with kids.

Tranquility is right!
We loved the seclusion and since we were unfortunately there for a memorial, the quiet was nice for us. Thank you! It was wonderful.

Peaceful
As advertised, the location was very relaxing and mellow.
We spent most of our time in Poulsbo, and the property was conveniently located for that, only a few minutes from the Agate Pass Bridge.
The only thing I might list as a negative is that both upstairs bedrooms have sky lights. I enjoyed them, BUT, if you are a light sleeper who needs total darkness to sleep, don't forget to bring your eye mask.

Clean and basic
The inside of the home was clean and basically furnished. The kitchen was marginally stocked and needed a few things (like a toaster, sharp knives). The beds were okay but not great (never figured out my sleep number). Would have liked to open the sliding glass door upstairs but the screen was ripped.

Quiet rustic place in a good location
Nice roomy, but somewhat outdated house. Good location on a quiet street. Lots of fruit trees on the property.

Great classic house
Very well maintained house in an aptly tranquil neighborhood. The multiple apple and pear trees had delicious fruit, there was almost no noise to the point we could here a deer jumping away from us on a walk. Inside was a trip down memory lane with a fantastic 1962 Zenith record player and set of classic vinyl provided the soundtrack for games of Sorry from the board game nook. Quick 10m walk down to the shore for shell and sandcrab hunting. Thanks for the nice getaway!

The house was great for the family. I wish the road to the beach had a better walking path.

Tranquil is true!
Very quiet neighborhood w a public access beach just a short walk away. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and implements. The two beds our party used were comfortable- especially the firmness control bed in the master. Plenty of room to lounge about or re-energize after an active day.

Very nice home with plenty of space for the five of us. Spacious and clean

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was simple, clean and cozy. Quiet neighborhood and a fun walk to the beach. We will be returning in the future!

Cottage in the Woods
This is a quant and somewhat rustic cottage on a very quiet portion of the island. It is supremely clean with a well-stocked kitchen. We wish it had some more appealing outdoor area for games, night-time chats, etc.

Great location, home could use some sprucing up
We loved the location, and it was on a quiet street not too far from downtown. The house was a bit run down and could use an upgrade. It was little things, like a torn comforter on one of the beds, broken toilet paper holders, chipping finishes, etc. It also didn't feel very clean - lots of hair. I probably wouldn't stay here again, but I could see it being ok if you went in with the right expectations. The proximity to the beach is great, and I liked laying in bed looking out the skylights.

Nice Place!
Nice place and could use a few improvements particularly outside stairs. As mentioned in a previous review about the TV, not able to get to work and no information on how to use it. We never did get it to work which was disappointing mainly in the time spent in trying to figure it out.

ABSOLUTELY Love this place!
It feels like home! It was SO CLEAN!!! The only issue was the landscaping. It wasn't very well kept. The house itself was beautiful in and out!

Not as expected, not worth the price.
This place is really dated with gross old carpet and musty smell, lots of HUGE spiders if your not into those (my daughter had a really difficult time)... listed as walking distance to the "beach" when in reality it was a rock and barnacle filled shoreline with hazardous waste signs everywhere, definitely NOT a beach... there was one beach in driving distance but the sun set on it really early so that was also disappointing. There is a television but only has 3 Chanel's and 2 are religious. No capability to play anything else, DVD, or anything. Not a kid friendly environment for today's kids as no wifi and no televisions makes grumpy mornings for all involved as our kids need constant stimulation today. So overall NOT worth what they are charging.

Comfortable setting on Bainbridge Island
Our family had plenty of room inside this comfortable home on Bainbridge Island. It was quiet and cozy and fit our family of six very well.
1.0
NOT FOR KIDS
The place is very rustic, spiders, critters, etc, "antique" or old furniture, no wifi or tv, NOT a beach but a rocky (barnacle filled) shoreline. Bainbridge is mostly rocky shoreline but there is one park/beach that is sandy but that's pretty much all there is to do. If you want a "camping like" feel/vacation then maybe this is for you BUT totally overpriced (x10) for what you get. Not that you would want to spend time in the delaitated living room, as there is a giant tv but you only get a couple of clear channels (lots of religious broadcasting), but the couch is probably the least comfortable I've ever sat on (besides grams with the plastic still on, probably from the same era). Much in need of an update and would highly recommend removing the ancient stained, top to bottom, carpets that make the place smell like must and mildew. Aside from that, linens were fresh and good quality, place was clean and well equipped.

Family weekend on Bainbridge Island
Our family enjoyed this quiet and spacious home on Bainbridge Island. The decor made us feel like we had gone back in time to the 60's and the phonograph and selection of vinyl albums made each evening really pleasant. Our son-in-law was an expert on the French Press coffeemaker! Two suggestions - you need to remove the paper wasp nest near the house, our grandson was stung the first day, and please confirm the entry code with your on-island staff. The code given us was wrong and I am thankful someone called with a correct code. By the way, the door with the lockbox that works is closest to the road.
