About this house rental
Built in 1904, this home sits in Salida’s Historic District and represents some of the town’s first multi-family dwellings, called Terrace Houses. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home has been thoughtfully renovated highlighting its historic charm while offering all the modern amenities.
Want to stay in and cook? You’ll enjoy the well-equipped kitchen or grilling out in the backyard. Or order curbside pick-up or delivery from one of Salida's many nearby restaurants.
Our cleaning standards have always been very high (as you can tell by our reviews), but with the advent of the COVID 19 threat, we've doubled-down our already high disinfecting standards to ensure the safety of our employees, guests, and our entire community.
We've also upgraded our wifi to 120 megabits per seconds so guests can set up shop to work or homeschool from your Salida "home away from home."
Located 2 blocks from Salida’s quaint downtown and arts district and 2 blocks from the Arkansas River, you will have the pleasure of walking or biking to great restaurants, shops, concerts in the park and river fun.
The townhouse next door is a private business by day (with zero commercial traffic), which means you have a great deal of privacy in the evenings. This home will accommodate up to six guests comfortably. Up to four cars can park in the off-street parking behind our home.
Come and stay at our cozy home and enjoy all the charm and outdoor fun Salida offers!
We recommend walking our biking as the best way to take in all the sights and flavors of our sweet, little mountain town!

We had a great time staying here in Salida. The house is in a great location, walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We really appreciated all the extras in the house such as extra paper products and spices! We also enjoyed sitting out back with the flowers and the deer that visited the neighbors a few times. We would definitely stay here again!

This was the perfect place for us to stay with our kids, another couple and their baby. One block from the river, the park, and everything we needed, we could walk to! The house was cozy and comfortable, along with enough space for the kids to have fun. The back patio was nice to have in the day and the evening to be able to let the kids sleep and us be able to have some space with the adults. The beds were comfy as well, which is important since I have a hurt back. The house is well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. Great place to stay - will be back!

Very close to downtown, house has everything you need. We also left an item behind and they kindly offered to mail it back.

The Salida Terrace House was fantastic. The kitchen was perfectly stocked and making cooking for Thanksgiving dinner easy. We especially enjoyed the comfortable dining room space - perfect for dinner and card games with our family. Also, a big bonus was how walkable the spot is -- just a few minutes to Moonlight Pizza and Bunny and Clyde's!

We visited Salida for a DIY artist's retreat and stayed at the Terrace House. The accommodations were perfect for the three of us. No detail was spared with regard to design, comfort, or supplies.
Stay in Salida thought of everything we'd need, even before we thought of it! The home was fully stocked with everything from salt and pepper, creamer, coffee, tea, sugar, and even sticky notes (which we forgot to bring and needed). Every time I thought, I need x, I found that it was already there.
The home was also VERY clean. We lost a water bottle lid and had to go hunting under beds and behind things to find it. We didn't even find a dust bunny in the process.
The only thing we noticed that could be improved is the refrigerator was unusually loud and ran frequently. It was a little bothersome when working at the island in the kitchen.
We plan to return to the Terrace House on our next retreat in Salida. Thanks for surprising us with such over-the-top hospitality. We felt very cared for by the people behind the scenes.
Thanks!

Very quaint and well-appointed place to stay, close to downtown. Managers were very responsive to any queries.

We’ve not been in a space that felt as enriching to the senses as this one. Grown up and delightful elegance, colors, and intelligent mix of furnishings combined with fine bedding, smart use of space and all as though we living amongst the downtown spaces. The front and back gardening and furnishings just as we’d love. Everything we needed. Perfect.
However, communication with the hosts was minimal and unavailable when needed. Perhaps it was internet failure, perhaps it was Vrbo- whatever the underlying issue- we are now reluctant to use Vrbo again. I want to believe that Jess is not personally responsible for this- she might have been doing her best with faulty equipment or in a flawed system. She might have been in personal distress. I hope her communication work becomes easier.
We adored Salida and the surrounding outdoors. We hiked and hiked. Took in autumn colors on off road drives. Met beautiful shop owning business souls. Found fine musical instruments. Ate good food. Charming place, really. Hope it is able to remain this way.

Best VRBO I have ever stayed in.
Well equipped, clean, so organized, above and beyond expectations.

Big and close to downtown. No Air Conditioning.
We enjoyed our stay at this unit. It had plenty of space for four adults and even had a really nice fire pit in back. The unit is updated and had everything we needed. Very close walk to downtown.
The one major downside is this unit has no Air Conditioning. At night, it is cool as you can open the windows, but you will hear cars going by early in the morning which will wake up lighter sleepers. It would have been too hot during the day to be there, but we were out all day so this was not a big deal for us.

Perfect place for a stay in Salida! The beds were so comfortable that I slept thru the night and that never happens! Beautiful with tasteful decor and an easy walk everywhere! I would go back in a heartbeat!

Great spot for a girls getaway
The cutest property within a block or two from downtown Salida. We walked everywhere we needed to go. We loved the extra touches at the home. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Highly recommend.

Beautiful home blocks from downtown
This is an absolutely wonderful property very close to downtown Salida. We were able to walk to a brewery and dinner multiple nights which was very nice. It is very well maintained and worked well for my wife and me as well as another couple. Plenty of room on the main level for 4-6 people and the bedrooms are a good size considering the age of the home. It is a duplex, however we never heard anything from the other side probably due to the brick walls. The property manager Jessica was very accommodating and was easy to contact when we had some questions. Overall very satisfied with the home and would definitely stay here again if we find ourself back in Salida.

Great Stay!
Very modern on the inside w/ 3 large bedrooms upstairs and well-furnished common areas downstairs. Great communication. Would return or recommend to anyone.

This is a wonderfully remodeled 3 bedroom, 2 bath historical residence. The place is warm and inviting with thoughtful designs and attention to guest comfort and convenience. Comfortable furniture and bedding with new, modern kitchen appliances make staying in for the evening a good choice. A quality gas grill is available for the cook while guests can hang around a wood fire pit. Details such as Kleenex, make-up remover and toilet spray didn't go unnoticed. Front parking makes loading in and out easy, while rear parking keeps your vehicle off the street overnight. After staying in other older Colorado homes, I appreciated some of the architectural re-designs that allowed a 6'3'' person like me to not have to duck on that third step going up the stairs.Speaking for my wife, myself and our traveling companions, we would definitely return if staying in the Salida area.

Awesome location, clean and up-to-date interior, super helpful host
I've visited Salida for the past 15 years and often stay in VRBO properties in town. This property made for one of the best stays ever - easy walk to coffee, restaurants, and shopping in town; nearby the river and park; a super comfortable and well-appointed home. On top of it all, Jess was very easy to deal with - for example, quickly accommodating a date change request.

Lovely spot in a perfect location.
Beautifully renovated with so much character. Well equipped with a great outdoor area in back. A quiet spot that is walkable you anywhere in the main part of town. Loved it and highly recommend.

Salida stay
Place was great, location to town was very convenient. The back yard area was real nice to sit out at night. Parking in back very convenient. The only negative is that it’s on the main drag of town and Having truck traffic wake you up in the morning was annoying.

Beautiful house close to the river and downtown
The house is a converted commercial building into a three bedroom two bath house. There is plenty of off street parking. We really enjoyed the backyard with the grill, fire pit and outside seating. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. Plenty of room for everyone. We loved our stay.

Serenity in Salida
Great place to stay. Location is close to everything: downtown, river, playground and park. The property is well maintained and has everything needed for an extended stay. The beds were comfortable. Two suggestions are more towels because with only four we needed to wash them and firmer pillows. Otherwise we really really enjoyed our experience.

Old storefront turned house
Enjoyed our stay here very much. Everything matched up with the description and photos. Comfortable place. Fully equipped kitchen.
Host communicated well and the check-in and check-out were simple.
Loved our stay here, but I would highlight a couple of things to be aware of . . .
1) This property would not be ideal for elderly people or those with disabilities. I think the showers/bath tubs would be difficult to navigate. Also, the staircase is narrow and relatively steep to get to the bedrooms.
2) Several outlets are not working.

Great option for Salida
Well appointed facility conveniently located to the downtown area. It has everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The only negative being street noise early in the morning ... if you are an early morning riser (I am) it’s no problem.

Our family of four spent a week here in the summer. The place is lovely and we enjoyed being able to walk downtown.
