Lorne and Surrounds
Lorne is a very popular beach tourist resort town, located on one of Australia's most scenic coastal routes, the Great Ocean Road, between Aireys Inlet and Wye River.
Cafes and boutiques line the main foreshore, creating a Mediterranean feel to the area. Lorne's wide foreshore area extends from the shops on down to the patrolled sandy beach areas. Further south at Point Grey is the jetty where the annual Lorne Pier to Pub open water swim is held, attracting national interest. Sheltered swimming is available at the mouth of the Erskine River where a long suspension bridge crosses this waterway and the sandy beach below.
Good views of the area can be enjoyed from Teddy's Lookout, at the southern end of George Street. The upper and lower lookouts offer views inland as well as south along the coast and down to the point where the Great Ocean Road crosses the George River at its mouth. Views of the town and its main beach can be experienced from several of the picnic spots along the Great Ocean Road between the Surf Life Saving Club and Point Grey.
There's more to Lorne than just the beach. The mountainous and bushy Otway Ranges form an attractive backdrop to Lorne, with the Great Otway National Park offering many bush walking tracks. The spectacular Erskine Falls are located within the park, just 8 kilometres west of town.
The Great Ocean Road south of Lorne is a particularly scenic section of this popular tourist route with the road hugging the coastline for much of its journey. Less than 10 kilometres from Lorne is the Mount Defiance Lookout, while further south is the small and very scenic coastal community of Wye River.

A peaceful, clean, cozy studio apartment with everything we needed in a great spot. Loved the sound of the sea and ocean view from the breakfast table. Five minutes walk to the beach (across the Great Ocean Road), and five minutes drive to Lorne shops and restaurants.

Had a lovely time during our stay, perfect for a night away

Very comfortable property, great Ocean views and everything you needed for a couple of days stay. Very steep driveway that is tricky to navigate but otherwise ok. Free internet worked well. We used it as a base to explore The Great Ocean Road as we came from Leongatha. Very quiet and peaceful.

Perhaps the owner may consider updating the pillows and table.
Everything else was good. Thank you

No faults with the property, and communication, prior to the the day of arrival was fine but on checking in, it was useless! Absolutely no response from owner. Had to get VRBO involved who took over 90 mins to do absolutely nothing for us. We would explain the situation, only for the issue to be escalated to a higher up and then cut off in the process so we had to go through that twice. Not the owners issue but one should be aware of the failings here too. The owner finally contacted us, with a comment of 'Oh...is it that late, is it'? Seriously not cool! Appreciated the compensation of $50 but we were in Lorne for just one afternoon and lost most of the time we had, was spent sitting outside the property, stressed and upset.

We are a mature married couple and required a short stay accommodation in the area while we were babysitting our twin grandchildren during wedding. This accommodation was an excellent choice - comfy, relaxing and within easy driving distance to the shopping area. It was very clean and plenty of blankets as well as an electric blanket on the bed. The host was very helpful and was very communicative about what was provided, how to check in and responded promptly to any queries. There was under cover off road parking. Our stay was very comfortable and we would be most happy to return for a longer stay in future.

The best of Lorne.
With wonderful views of the Southern Ocean, the sound of the surf and the smell of the bush, this must be one of the best positions in Lorne.
The accommodation was very comfortable and quite spacious, with a 5 minute walk to the northern end of the Lorne beach. Although Central Lorne was very busy, this location was quiet and seemed unaffected by the holiday crowds. Definitely our first choice for accommodation in Lorne. We will be back.

Very disappointed that owner failed to respond to several phone calls, emails and messages sent via Stayz asking for information on how to check in.We had to travel to Lorne not knowing if or how we could enter property. There was no one there when we arrived at 2:15pm - 15 minutes after check in time. Called owners number again ut still no response. If we had not noticed another phone number displayed on an advertisement board at the front of the property we would have left to search for alternative accommodation. We rang this other number and an agent answered, they were apologetic for the poor communication by owner and helpfully supplied us with access details. The accomodation is a neat coastal styled single room with queen bed, lounge area, with a small kitchenette and table. plus bathroom toilet en-suite, on the ground floor of a two storey house. The views are nice looking over and through garden trees and across neighbouring homes to areas of open ocean views. We had a restless sleep due to irritating noise of rodents or possibly possums scratching in ceiling areas during the night. Messaged agent about this next morning and they offered us at later checkout as compensation.

Great place
Very clean and practical for a couple people to stay. Especially convenient for a one night stay before falls festival given the location.. even though they canned it.

Comfortable and inviting relaxation.
We enjoyed our stay, very comfortable bed and clean bathroom/toilet. We were on a tight budget so our meals became a bit boring with only a microwave to cook in, however we knew this would be the case when we booked the property. I enjoyed sitting at the table with my cuppa while admiring the view and I particularly enjoyed the sound of the ocean at night. We hope to return in the future.

Perfect location, 5 star hotel luxuries with B&B comfort, excellent service and lovely attention to detail. I fear this review will book it out solid and I’ll never get it again. We are definitely returning again soon, this amazing property is 10/10, the hosts and the service = A++

Beautiful studio apartment
We loved our stay at the Lorne Beach Views Studio. The apartment has all of the necessities for a relaxing weekend away! It is self contained, however only with a kitchenette (no stove). There are views of the water and also a beautiful sunrise! We also saw kangaroos! It is however located on the bottom floor so blinds need to be closed completely for privacy. Located only a short drive from the main strip of shops.

Loved our stay at Beach Views!
. It was about a 15 minute walk away from the busier part of Lorne. We could walk along the beach or along the path by the beach and it was nice to be somewhere quiet. It was very clean, comfortable, and has beautiful light coming in from the windows! Tracie was also very hospitable! :)

Highly recommended choice of stay
Beautiful, modern and prestine accommodation. Everything we needed. Very affordable. Gorgeous views. Accessible to everything. Watch the sun rise over the water while lying in bed. Would definitely consider this apartment on our next stay. Highly recommend.
