It was fairly easy to get to. We had never stayed in that area before. Pictures didn’t tell the complete story. We wanted a 3 bedroom 3 bath house, but the downstairs bedroom and bathroom were not as nice as the ones upstairs. In the pictures the deck looked a lot bigger than it was. The refrigerator hadn’t even been cleaned on the inside. We were expected to use just 2 trash bags in the kitchen. It was a good thing we brought extra. We had to be out by 10, which we all thought was a little ridiculous, and then VRBO thought we should leave a tip for the cleaning people. I won’t rent this property again because it really wasn’t what we were expecting. Basically, we were all a little disappointed in the property, plus, it was a lot more than we usually spend as a group. One last thing, you told us not to start out with the air conditioner below 70, and we didn’t. It was a warm weekend, and it never really cooled off.

This rental was very clean and welcoming.
We had a little bit of trouble with the AC. Luckily the fans and cool air helped. The contact was helpful and quick to answer questions. We really enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this property to others.

The house was very clean and comfortable. All furniture was nice. Communication was great. We needed to check in a little earlier and making arrangements to do so was very easy. The neighborhood was peaceful. Over all would give 5 stars and stay again in the future.

The Lazy Moose Lodge did not disappoint. He was clean, cozy and felt like home away from home. I look forward to staying there again.

Cozy and comfy family cabin! Perfect place to relax and enjoy family time. We enjoyed our visit!

Very cozy base-hub for multiple activities.

The cabin was nice and spacious for all my family. It was a two story, with a bedroom downstairs, with two queen beds and a private bathroom. Very sufficient space for my two teen grandkids. The stairs going down to that bedroom were a little steep. Nonetheless it gave us all a good workout going up and down those stairs, including our little doggies. Upstairs had two large bedrooms, both with bathrooms, again very sufficient space and very clean! The kitchen, dining and living room were open concept very spacious for all my family. There was a beautiful fireplace where we sat by in the living room, had a glass of wine and played family games. There was an outside deck on the upper floor, that was just wonderful. One evening my family and I were outside on the upper deck admiring the beautiful view and enjoying the fresh air, when at that time we all got to see a big bear passing. It was so exciting! Overall our stay was quite pleasant! There was only one thing I wanted to address. There are steep outside stairs, leading from the driveway area up to the living room door. The bottom step of those steep stairs was broken and a little scary to step on, especially after it had rained and the steps were wet. Hopefully next time we stay, that step will have been repaired?? I would absolutely recommend this place for a nice getaway!

Cabin was large enough for 8 adults, although the two full size beds are more for teen or child. These beds were very short, but overall very clean and the kitchen was stocked with every appliance you could possible need. The coffee pot on the other hand, I would suggest cleaning staff really clean out the reservoir. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent it again!

House is lovely, perfect location. We did have a few issues with the air not working and it being 79 degrees in the house the first day and a half. Made for very uncomfortable sleeping and overall comfort. Ice maker did not work either. Overall a very nice home and would definitely consider booking again if they get the kinks worked out. Hopefully they consider refunding a nights stay due to inconveniences.

2 floors, 2 master bedrooms and 2 downstairs beds. Very clean &’well cared for home. Television includes many apps for tv watching pleasure.

We rented the cabin while we were in Ruidoso for my father's memorial. First, I'll say that the person with whom I spoke was very nice and professional. I liked the cabin, mostly. The kitchen was well appointed and functional, but the beds (ALL the beds) need desperately to be replaced. They are extremely uncomfortable, which made for very poor nights' sleep for everyone, resulting in stiffness and exhaustion for all guests each day. We didn't use the grill or the fireplace. Additionally, the Television sets in the bedrooms either didn't work or were not simple enough to manage (we use televisions with Netflix, Hulu, etc. all the time when we travel, so I don't think it was operator error). The TV in the living room seemed to work fine. The trim in the cabin is broken in areas and the carpet needs tacking down or to have a new transition strip put in by the stairs. Again, a decent place, but definitely needs some maintenance and attention to the amenities.
I would rent it again, but recommend attention to those items I mentioned.

We enjoyed staying at this property, it’s a nice clean cabin tucked away in a friendly neighborhood. The boys enjoyed walking around and seeing the deer around the cabins and homes. The cabin itself had everything you could need readily available for your use! Very clean, friendly staff, it was pet friendly as well! Very nice getaway for the weekend away with family!

Loved that the cabin was clean with the exception of pet stains on the carpets. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Ruidoso, NM!

Really nice place to spend family with. The balcony was probably our favorite part of all.

Overall great place to stay

Cabin was okay. Was clean, but nothing special.

The only negative I have are the stairs. If we had been 10 years younger they would not have been a problem. If you have no mobility issues you will love this place. Very clean, well equipped, nicely decorated & very spacious.

We enjoyed Ruidoso, and we did get to see some wildlife near the property. This is an older property that is pretty nice but does need some updating. Fairly clean, but could use a deep cleaning. Online photos are accurate, but they depict a rural setting, and the property is in an urban neighborhood setting. The home layout is strange, you will enter through a bedroom that accesses the rest of the home.
One thing that disturbed me, is that I have not received my security deposit From the management company(Hummingbird Cabins) as of 17 days post stay here, with absolutely no reason to withhold it.

Wonderful Place to Stay
The lodge was such a wonderful place stay! It was a very quiet neighborhood and passing through wildlife was a nice surprise. The balcony was large and everyone enjoyed sitting out there visiting. It was a good distance from mid-town but that is what we were looking for. The lodge was clean and very comfortable for our family. We look forward to our next trip to the Crazy Moose Lodge!

Quiet Stay
You're getting exactly what you expect and paid for. Great stay thank you!

Inside stairs were step, narrow and poorly lit. In the bathrooms only the built in grab bar in the tub. It would be safer with a grab bar for the shower too. The tv was sitting on a table but I noticed that it was not attached to the wall. A toddler could easily pull it over. Mattresses went from terrible to pretty good. Clean and with a well equipped kitchen. But overall I cannot recommend this.
