About this apartment rental

The Tropicana is a PERFECT spot for families with the private area protected by the dunes, a GREAT spot for football games or cornhole...Or a great spot for the kids to play while you have a cocktail on the deck! It's a common occurrence for families…kids of all ages…to have pick-up games in the large dune-protected "sand box" in front of the condo. We think one of the best features of our place is that it is seven steps down to the sand!

In addition to FANTASTIC beach views and easy beach access, our place offers a full kitchen (NEW APPLIANCES INSTALLED NOVEMBER 2020!), sleeper sofa, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, TVs with cable, DVD and WiFi. The condo is located on 79th street near terrific shopping and restaurants. When you finally come in off the beach, there are many fun things to do in and around Ocean City and you are close to Rehoboth Beach, Bethany Beach and Fenwick Island – or just enjoy the view from the deck.

We've also found it a perfect spot for an overnight escape for two - or a long weekend. (Although I confess we've not been able to use it for a long weekend for it sure sounds like a great idea!)

A FEW FAQs:
CHECK-IN TIME:
You may check in AFTER 3 p.m. In order to allow us time to have the unit properly
cleaned and ready for you, please do not request early occupancy.

CHECK-OUT TIME:
Please check out PROMPTLY AT 10 A.M. so the property can be readied for the next guest.
Please leave the unit as you found it with the furniture arranged the same way, no food in the
refrigerator, windows and doors locked, beds made and dishes cleaned and put away. We cannot be
responsible for any items left in the unit.
Tenants are responsible for the property until all keys have been collected.

PETS: Pets are not allowed in this unit.

CHARCOAL GRILLS:
Fire Ordinance: No grills are allowed in any multiple dwelling unit building or on decks, balconies, etc.

PARKING: One designated parking spot - others are first-come, first-served. Boat trailers are not permitted at the condos; you will have to contact a marina for storage.

PERSONAL NEEDS:
Please be sure to bring your own personal towels, linens and paper
items. The bed sizes are listed here:
(1) Queen-size bed
(1) Full-size bed (bottom bunk)
(1) Twin-size bed (top bunk)
(1) Queen sleep sofa

Please take care of the rental unit as if it were your own.

Our girls ages 2 and 5 had a blast! The location was perfect, right on the water for any last minute potty breaks. The condo was clean and had a big open living room space for the girls to play while we were inside. Check in was super easy and the owner was so responsive and kind. I would highly recommend this spot for families. There’s an ice cream shop right across the street and the water park is a quick 5 min drive! So fun!

The location was awesome. Enjoyed that it was just a short walk across the dunes to the beach/ocean. Would recommend to family and friends. Only negatives: 1) There was no hot water when we used the kitchen sink. However, did not have that problem in the bathroom. 2) There was no empty cabinet space to store any items we bought for the week. Was inconvenient.

We had a beautiful weekend! The rental had everything we needed to stay comfortably for the weekend! Everything was in working order, the floors were clean, and the building was very family friendly. Lovely neighbors! I loved the easy access to the beach. My kids were so pleased being close to the sand!! We felt right at home!!

We stayed at Kim’s place for Oceans Calling in Oct 2023. It was perfect for my wife and I. Great communication, easy check in, clean house, zero issues for 3 nights. Great location and beach access.

Our family came here for a long weekend and enjoyed our visit! The house was clean and we loved the close proximity to the beach! Just a few steps from the ocean, and the sand in front was a great spot for kids to play. Thanks so much!

Stayed for a week in late August with my wife and young daughter. Great location and very communicative owner. Mostly private beach within steps of the condo. Short drive to boardwalk. Highly recommended.

This is our third year staying here. The sand is right outside your door and the location is right by shops, restaurants, ice cream, etc. We hope to return next year!

This was the perfect location for our family beach vacation. It was great to be just steps from the sand. The host provided access to beach toys which my kids loved. The carpet was recently replaced and very soft. The location was quiet and comfortable. The host was super friendly and great with communication.

We had 3 adults and one teenager and had plenty of room. We were able to make dinners and enjoyed the outside seating. Our neighbors were quiet and friendly and we had plenty of room on the beach. We would stay here again.

Only good thing is that you’re right off the beach. It feels uncomfortable inside. Lot of dust under beds. Dead bugs. Carpet is filthy. We had to buy a mattress because it was so uncomfortable to sleep on what they had. We also had insect bites everywhere on our bodies. My son has multiple bites from something. I loved the view and access to beach. I felt very uncomfortable because it was so dirty and I had itching from something. The cleaning there is bare minimum and carpets are stained. I wanted to support a small business but this is why I always rent from Hilton and Marriot. I do not recommend this property unless you have low hygienic and clean requirements. The owner was very responsive but my suggestion is to do better by consumers and invest in upgrades of mattress. Floors. And furniture. This was disappointing for the amount you pay. I’m sorry for the bad review.

This property's location is great, you don't even need to wear sandals to get to the beach. This is exactly what my husband and I needed, - a quiet weekend at the beach away from stress and noise. The property itself is rather small and dated, definitely, an older building, but well maintained and has all that is necessary for the trip to the beach. Overall, no complaints, we enjoyed our stay.

This was our second time staying here. We love the location. It is right on the beach with an extra sandy, private area where the kids can play. It had everything we needed, even several beach chairs and many other extras! The owner is great with communication. We can’t wait to go back!

This condo was a great location. Steps to the beach, had everything you needed to enjoy a relaxing beach vacation. The only thing was the carpets smelled old and dingy. They needed to be replaced or washed. Kimberly was wonderful to deal with and responded to our every request or question. We would love to stay there for future vacations.

This was a great stay! I can’t believe it was literally steps from the beach. I enjoyed being able to sit on the deck and watch the kids play in the sand without having them wonder too far. Lots of room for 1 family or a girls weekend. Kimberly was very responsive which is a plus! Lots to do within walking distance including donuts, mini golf and restaurants. The kids enjoyed rope walk. I would definitely recommend and will be coming back. Tips- bring your own linens and kitchen is fully equipped - just bring dish detergent and sponges to wash dishes or pods, and paper towels.

This property is exactly as described and more! We had an amazing stay with our 4 and 6 year olds. The condo is perfect for a family and has everything you need for the beach (umbrella, chairs, and boogie boards!). The kitchen is lovely and well equipped with the essentials for cooking in (pots/pans, collander, utensils). The deck is amazing - a perfect place for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening, all while hearing the waves crash. We will absolutely stay here again! The host was so responsive, check in was a breeze, and the entire condo was spotless and comfortable.

We came for the motorcycle rally and had another couple with us. We really enjoyed the property and being right on the ocean was great. We loved sitting on the deck at night and made friends with our neighbors who came down from Pennsylvania. We had a wonderful stay and will return someday.
