I recently stayed at Ness Walk and had a fantastic experience. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and pleasant.
The one area where I found Ness Walk lacking was the food options. The restaurant offered limited choices.
4.6
Good clean recently refurbished feel. Quality furnishings and bedding. I liked having a separate loo and bathroom too. Very pleasant but nothing to blow you away.
Lack of facilities, like a gym and reception was too small we couldn’t sit together as a family of 4
Seemed a little lacking in atmosphere.
In other hotels we were offered a free upgrade as it was winter season and pretty quiet. it was also my birthday when we stayed at Ness Walk but the upgrades offered were an additional charge of either 60 or 150 pounds which caused an awkward feeling.

House keepers and front of house were very good
Breakfast service was poor

Great location and lovely, spacious room and great bar food

We were absolutely taken aback by the professionalism, courtesy, friendliness and simply outstanding customer service presented by all of the staff, but front of house especially.
Location is a touch less than ideal. Would’ve been very nice to have a swim & spa. Room Service menu couldn’t provide what we were after, albeit in the early hours of the morning.

Initially, pleasant atmosphere. good enough room, very clean but not the room I expected. Food was excellent. Warm welcome with glass of champagne. proximity to venue we were attending, ideal and also to town centre and long riverside walks plus the theatre next door.
She is advertised as a 5 star hotel. This is not 5 stars, yet it charges 5 star prices. The welcoming staff member was very gushing and had been trained oto welcome us but it was a busy checking in time and she was having to handle more than she was capable of. We wanted to go to our room after a long journey but had to wait whilst she prioritised her other guests. The keys did not work once they were issued therefore another trip was made back to the reception. On checking out next day, and presented with the invoice, the dinner we had plus drinks from the fridge were not itemised. I queried it and it was ascertained it had not been recorded by bar staff. This took a short time to sort out. Once verified, the bill was corrected. . Not a penny was deducted for my honesty and fairness, not even a verbal thank you. I also detected a frisson of discontent in the staff. Tension was obvious and one member of staff was downright rude and grumpy. I do not think I will ever use Ness Walk again.

Great room - nice breakfast - lovely helpful staff - good location.
£20 per day to park your car in the hotel's carpark - I'd expect this to be free.
4.6
The only surprise was the parking fee for the on-premises parking lot.
Can't imagine arriving at this hotel without driving in, so better, in my opinion, not to surprise guests with this fee, but to incorporate it into room cost.

We got a warm welcome and could relax from the first until the last second.
Everything was just perfect.

Mark and Grace were exceptionally professional, gracious, friendly and generous with information and suggestions. They made check in a breeze. Parking was very easy and convenient, though 20£/ night. The location was perfect and beautiful.
The bed was dreadfully firm/stiff and accompanied with very thin walls. We could hear every door open and slam shut through the night and into the morning. We were unable to rest.

The fact that booking.com didn’t inform I changed my reservation and the hotel tried to charge me more for the room than I agreed with booking .com

The pre planning, greeting and welcome is beautiful.
The rooms spotless, comfortable and well equipped.
The food is without doubt both delicious and beautifully presented, have met a chef in the garden picking herbs and flowers.
Friendly and obliging staff in all areas. Incredible flower bouquet arranged for us by asking ahead of arrival, in the room.
Thank you for another memorable stay.
Till next time…
Batteries in tv were flat.
Couldn’t isolate the lights, all or nothing, should probably have asked for help.

The buffet breakfast was fabulous, and lovely to have tablecloths on the tables and fresh flowers. Tea was served in good sized pottery pots. There was a great selection of cooked items on the breakfast menu.
Disappointed that there wasn't any certified gluten free cereal or lactose free milk available, on request I had been told these would be available.

Very clean & comfortable
£20 for parking

The location was excellent. My wife thought the bed was really comfy but I was not so sure. The hotel is very nicely finished and the room was very clean and fresh looking. Shower was excellent and we liked haveing the option of a bath and seperate shower. Staff and very friendly and helpful. All in this is a very very nice hotel. I would have given it a 9.5 score but that doesn't seem to be an option.
In my opinion the bed could have been more comfortable and I didn't like the fact they charge £20 per night for parking. I think, given the price of the rooms, this is too much. The cooked breakfast could have been bigger. My wife ended up having continental but ordering the cooked breakfast for me :)

Beautifully decorated with lovely artwork. Lots of nice places to sit and chill.
Minor issue was the separate toilet cubicle in our room. The toilet was a bit close to the wall making it awkward to use.

Everything, from the moment we arrived it was a great experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean, modern and comfortable. Shower was top notch!
Only minor slight personal gripe would be the pillows, lovely feather pillows but just too soft for our preference.
4.6
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were very clean and tidy.
The air conditioning / heating unit in the rooms are noisy. Not just a simple hum, but sometimes gurgling, sometimes fan noise and sometimes other noises.. It's the random changes in these noises that are so detrimental to a good nights sleep. After changing rooms twice I just turned the unit off in order to sleep.
4.6
Staff very welcoming and warm. Excellent location
Charge for parking is quite high
Breakfast service staff member a little grumpy but still polite and efficient
