The accommodations are relaxing and beautiful. The town and nearby Nenagh have what you need. Hickey's Bar across the street is a wonderful place to meet the nicest people. Highly recommend staying here at Paul and Karen's place in Silvermines. Karen's friendly reception and initial information set the tone for a great visit!

We had a terrific couple of days in this beautiful property!!! Was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and every need catered for. Wonderful host-very thoughtful and plenty of attention to detail. Wish we had more time to stay here but unfortunately our time was limited. Definitely hope to be back!!!
The garden is beautiful and so well cared for-so relaxing, but my kids preferred the basketball court & hurling/football pitch just a few yards up the street-kept them entertained until the darkness beat them!!!
Thank you very much Karen & Paul-a delight to stay in your lovely property!!!

Grandma
The property has the feeling of a historic cottage, but it has all the comfort and modern appliances of a new house. The hostess was very kind and helpful, going beyond her duties to make us feel comfortable and welcome. I recommend this house to anyone who wants to experience the beautiful Ireland countryside.

Sonnige Tage in Irland
Sehr gemütliche Unterkunft mit allen Annehmlichkeiten. Viele Ausflugsziele erreichbar innerhalb 1-2 Std. Leider hatten wir zu wenig Zeit, die Wanderwege in der Umgebung zu erkunden.

Spacious and thoughtful touches made for a good base for discovering North Tipperary. We had very easy access to the Silvermine Mountains for walking and it's close to Lough Derg and local heritage sites. Would recommend Nenagh for food shop and eating out options near by.

Lovely. The property, the layout of the accommodations, the amenities provided, the thoughtfulness, the peace, the LAVENDER, the church bells.... I could go on and on. I researched accommodations for this trip for months and this one was on my list from day one. I'm so glad I booked it! The communication from Paul was fabulous and Karin was just wonderful. We are coming away with loads of regrets though, first and foremost being that we had to leave. Seriously.
1) So bummed we didn't make the time to visit Hickey's sooner than our last night. Tom and his brother and sister-in-law and other locals that we didn't catch the names of, were so fun to talk to! So kind and friendly. The stories. The peat fire. The cold pints. Just what I had imagined a chilly Irish night in a pub to be like. Now if there was food to be had, we would have been in every night. Just saying....
2) That we didn't get to do the Silvermines Mountain hike again. If you want a lovely hike through an almost midevil forest to the most Irish of stunning views, you have to hike Silvermines Mtn.
3) That we weren't able to enjoy the peace of the garden more despite tea out there every morning and most afternoons. The birds and the mist and the wind in the trees.... the smell of lavender in the air.... and the church bells! I mean, come on! You must make garden time when you book here. And you need to book here! My guys did not find the beds particularly comfy but I really had no issues myself and perhaps a few rugs scattered about wouldn't hurt but otherwise, every comfort was thought of. We will definitely be back if they'll have us. 10 out of 5 stars for us!!

A beautiful place to stay.
We stayed in the cottage, which is just so pretty and has gorgeous views to the gardens outside.
We loved the tranquility. It’s quiet and peaceful. A much needed respite from the big city.
There are miles of walking paths to be found just out the door. The views along the way are just breathtaking.
Two days was not long enough. We wished we had stayed longer. (And we miss the wonderful brown bread from the baker across the street!)

So cozy and comfortable
This was our last stop on a 2 week holiday in Ireland. After many days of touring and traveling from place to place this adorable cottage was exactly what we needed as a home away from home. The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to make several simple meals rather than eating out. We relaxed in front of the fire in the comfortable living area. The bedrooms were large and each had a very nice ensuite bath. The property was spotlessly clean on the inside and the outside was quiet, enclosed for privacy with gorgeous gardens. It was really hard to leave this little gem!

This spacious cottage was perfect for our family of 4. The host left us homemade Irish soda bread that was delicious. The property had wonderful Irish country charm on beautiful grounds. The garden and hillside view was spectacular. The occasional sounds of sheep and church bells added to the quaintness. The location was central to the Cliffs of Moher and Cork. I would highly recommend this property.

This cottage was perfect, roomy, clean, updated, peaceful, relaxing with beautiful views of the garden and birds. It was exactly what we wanted. The last few days of a two vacation in Ireland and we wanted to relax and enjoy the Irish countryside. Plenty of places to hike, rolling hills and a great little pub down the street. We would definitely come back to this quiet little Irish town and stay at this cottage with the great owners
