We had a wonderful stay at Rex's Place. The property was clean and comfortable. It is in a quiet neighborhood, but close to shopping, dining etc. Judson, the property owner, was easy to communicate with. We hope to stay there again when we are next in Goleta.

We used this home as our home base the weekend of our daughter's wedding in Santa Barbara. The home worked GREAT! Clean, well stocked, and hosted 6 adults no problem. The backyard is the cherry on top of this property! It's absolutely gorgeous and provided a beautiful space for relaxing and conversation. We definitely recommend this home!

This VRBO was clean and more than adequate for our stay. The pre arrival signing of the Rental Agreement was cumbersome as the owner did not provide Docusign accessibility. He was most responsive, however, and easy and efficient to work with. The property lacked in amenities - there were no dish towels, inadequate backups of toilet paper, paper towels. There were no spices available outside of salt and pepper, no laundry detergent, The fireplace was not available. A rating of 3 - 4 stars seems reasonable. We have stayed in numerous VRBOs that have been more comfortably appointed.

Great house in nice neighborhood
We rented this house for a month and we were very pleased with our choice. It was clean, bright, and true to the pictures. The neighborhood was nicely kept and the neighbors we met were very friendly. It was an easy drive to several beaches which we frequented, and to downtown Santa Barbara as well. Judson was always prompt in communicating with us. We had family come and stay with us at times and we felt there was plenty of room. It was hard to leave.

Great location!
Great location. Ample seating, comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen supplies, even though we didn't do any cooking. The weather kept us indoors, but the yard looked live a great place to spend time.

Great place for UCSB parents!
Very clean and comfortable home. Enjoyed visiting with college aged kids and was able to cook a home made meal. Close to the campus, we would definitely look to stay here again.

In Town for a Wedding
This house worked out perfectly for us. Five of us came to town for a wedding in Santa Barbara. Nice open floor plan, plenty of room to gather and a quiet neighborhood. Town of Goleta just across the freeway, and Santa Barbara a quick drive from the house. The house was well stocked with what we needed and comfortable. We would look to stay here again.

Perfect Getaway
Jud's place was the most wonderful location to spend time with my cousins for the weekend. Close to all the fun in SB but in a super cute quiet neighborhood. Like other reviewers have said, the beds are a little on the hard side but other than that the house is so comfortable. Having breakfast out in the beautiful garden every morning was definitely the highlight.

This is an attractive house, with a gorgeous yard, in a quiet neighborhood. It's a few blocks to a park with a tennis court and a bike ride away from a wetland area. It's a perfect spot for short stays for families who expect to spend most meals eating out. It's a bit challenging for long-term stays when most meals will be cooked in house, but nothing that can't be worked around. Judson was exceptionally responsive to our concerns about cookware (he had new pots delivered, as well as a new BBQ) and we ended up buying several small items necessary for day-to-day cooking. While I certainly don't expect a kitchen to be stocked, this was unusually bare with nothing but a salt and pepper shaker. The beds are hard, but of good quality. The living room furniture was fairly uncomfortable for daily use. The couch cushion was so thin that TV watching in the evenings left you sinking far down into the couch. But if a guest is there only briefly that is unlikely to be an issue. The yard is gorgeous, tended to by gardeners who come twice a week. All in all, a very nice home in a pleasant neighborhood.

Clean modern home in Goleta
House is clean, updated and fresh.
Nice open floor plan and lovely backyard and patio. Kitchen well stocked, nice appliances. Our only complaints were the beds.... master bed was firm but comfortable, queen bed was hard as a rock and the twin had a header and footer frame which didn’t fit my 6’ son... not sure how he slept in that small bed.

Clean and comfortable
My family and I were in Santa Barbara for a long weekend to attend our grandchild’s baptism. The home is in a lovely, safe neighborhood and only a short drive to shopping centers for food, etc. . Our favorite part of our stay was gathering for meals outside on the patio which is surrounded by fruit trees and very private. The home can easily accommodate a small family or 2 or 3 couples comfortably. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Perfect getaway
We stayed at this home for my husband's graduation and it was absolutely perfect. It was so clean when we arrived and we loved the amount of natural light in the home. We spent most of our time in the garden admiring the plants and relaxing. It is a quick 10-15 minute drive to the beach. We wished that we had booked this home for our entire stay in Santa Barbara. The next time we go back, we will definitely be staying here again.

A Flip or Flop Beauty
This house was a perfect place for our family to stay and relax in. The house has been remodeled and decorated like an awesome Flip or Flop House. We loved the decor and the indoor/outdoor living spaces. We enjoyed it just as much as exploring the local area, State Street and Solvang. We'll be reserving it again. Jud is an amazing host and was very responsive.

Perfect for graduation weekend.
The house is close to UCSB and thus close to my son's apartment. My family took advantage of the nearby walking and biking trails. A grocery store and many more shops are located a mile away. The neighborhood is quiet. The house itself is lovely and beds are comfortable. We enjoyed hanging out in the backyard and used the grill a couple times to make dinner. The kitchen has lots of plates, glassware (champagne flutes!), flatware, cooking utensils, serving dishes, pots, pans, --everything we needed. The host was attentive to making sure our expectations were met. Our expectations certainly were met and I highly recommend this house to any family visiting UCSB.

Stylish, comfortable house in a quiet neighborhood
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Modern Ranch house in Goleta. The house had everything we needed and was a great place to relax and relish some quiet periods during a busy weekend catching up with friends and attending events related to a friend's wedding in nearby Santa Barbara. The best part about the house is the gorgeous and meticulously maintained backyard garden in which we soaked up the SoCal sunshine and enjoyed several outdoor meals.

Would love to stay longer!
Very bright and comfortable house with lots of space for hanging out both inside and on the patio. The pictures show the condition of the house very accurately. It’s clean and well maintained. There are great windows for letting in fresh air. The neighborhood is quiet and easy to get around, and Lake Los Carneros park is an easy walk.

Quiet peaceful sanctuary in Goleta
This remodeled home is on quiet street in an older subdivision. It has an open spacious floor plan, was clean and convenient to the airport and freeway but without any noise. The photos do not do the beautiful outdoor garden justice. Our family would definitely stay here again.

Goleta’s best VRBO
What an amazing property. Very clean and very convenient to Goleta. The owner Jud had a family emergency and delayed the start of our weekend. But he was a great communicator and made it right. Very pleased with the property.
