Lodge End Stay
Good value comfortable bungalow. Everything there for an enjoyable holiday. Relaxing and refreshing. Good beaches and other attractions near by.

Lovely location but few things that could be improved upon
Location was great, beaches and promenade only 10 minutes walk away. Wine and milk on arrival was lovely. Unfortunately it did feel like we were staying in someone's home rather than a holiday home. Clothes in a wardrobe with a photograph pinned to the inside of the door. No blinds or curtains in lounge so people on the double decker buses passing by could see in. A gardener turned up in the garden with no warning or notice given. No obvious instructions left out for us although we found some in the bookcase on our last day. The second shower room and toilet were in a separate outhouse which was not connected to the bungalow so were not used.

Good holiday in great location
Really enjoyed our stay in Lodge End. Great location and lovely bungalow. Super dog safe garden, suggest lock on gate for extra security. Only complaint is the lack of curtains in the back bedroom.

Total waste of money
Don’t be mislead by photos on line, they look like another property.I was so upset by the filthy state of the outside areas and the over whelming smell of dogs I only managed to stay three nights out of my seven and would have left before but had to stay for my booked kidney dialysis.
The whole holiday has left me feeling totally traumatised.

Lodge End is a great place to stay
Hello Lisa.
We are now home after a two week stay at Lodge End.
When we arrived we found the premises so very well presented. Everything was very clean, tidy and comfortable and had everything available to make an enjoyable stay. We were lucky with the sunshine but had we had bad weather we would have had a comfortable stay. The secure garden was a bonus that was appreciated by our dogs and ourselves.
It was well equipped and a great location.
A VERY GO0D PLACE TO STAY.
Regards
Ken & Linda Spear.

Lovely Bungalow
Nice location & comfortable, had everything we could possibly need. The outhouse was brilliant after the beach. We did have to clean the garden furniture before using as it was dirty. We loved the beach hut!

Home from home holiday bungalow and beach hut
Lovely stay here. Loved the little treasures dotted about. So handy having a second shower room. Clean bedding and plenty of soft towels. Nice touch was milk and 9% wine in fridge, hand wash on each basin, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid etc. Our crazy Daisy (our lab) had plenty of room in garden for playing. Beach hut could possibly have had a sweep up,but what do you expect on the beach. !!!!!!.

Had a lovely stay at lodge end. Well equipped with what you need. The only thing wrong was dog muck on the lawn when we arrived

Lovely bungalow
We had a very enjoyable stay at Lodge End. Bungalow light and airy and very well equipped. We made full use of the facilities provided. The shower and toilet in the utility room particularly useful as we had our teenage grandson with us for two nights. Lovely big rambling enclosed garden which our dog loved. The beach hut is great with everything you need and close to cafes and amenities. (Shame it’s not going to be available next year). The bungalow is very close to shops and there is a great cafe. The West Norfolk pub is close by and the do great food and welcome dogs. Found all the locals very friendly. Really good break.

Excellent base for north Norfolk exploration.
Could not fault this bungalow or its position. Shops, 3 pubs (2 serving good grub) etc all within walking distance. Plenty of restaurants within a few miles. Accommodation brilliant with all equipment you could possibly need - I lie, there was no milk pan! Josie (owner) informed, pan supplied within hours - good on ya Josie. Would not hesitate to use Lodge End again.

In need of tlc
Set in a convenient location close to beach shops and pubs but on a main road with buses flying past. Good base to explore from. Kitchen well equipped. Bathroom needs refurbishment and shower is awful. Rooms are all a decent size. Wardrobes in main bedroom smell damp. We had to wash all our clothes when we returned. Sun room is pleasant leading to dog friendly garden. We found the bungalow a bit grubby. Floors were dirty and there wasn't a mop or brush to clean them ourselves. We expected more for the price we paid.

Our stay at Lodge end bungalow
The bungalow is in a quiet road with easy parking. It was clean and the bedding and towels were spotless. The sitting room had windows all around and the property has a lovely garden fully enclosed and safe for the dogs even though there is a busy road. The kitchen and bathroom are smaller than we thought. The weather was poor the week we stayed so we would have liked a smart TV with more entertainment. We could not use the beach hut due to the poor weather . Both bedrooms were comfortable . The utility room was useful though a drier would have been useful as would more equipment for the dogs towels , blankets etc as we had paid an additional cost for them to stay as have been provided in many other places . In summary the bungalow was comfortable and adequately equipped if we had been able to use the beach hut it would have been worth the cost ..

Norfolk 'hideaway'?
Stayed here with our dogs. Mistakenly assumed due to the photograph on the website that it was detached and in a secluded spot tucked away at the end of a cul de sac. It's semi detached, yes in a cul de sac, but on the edge of a housing estate. The garden is next to a busy road and is noisy. The house was spotless but it felt like living in someone's house not a delightful holiday cottage as presumed. It's laminate floor apart from the living room not wooden as described however so if your pet finds it difficult to walk on it like ours did, be sure to take this into account. I've put these comments and concerns to norfolk hideaways in order they change their description of this property as it's false advertising - twice - but have heard nothing so would not deal with this company again. Very poor customer service. Doubt this review will even be published.......

Ideal Location
Our third visit to Heacham and our second with Norfolk Hideaways, Lodge End is ideally situated for the beach and all village amenities. West Norfolk pub is a must visit, food is excellent and very good value, doggies can go too.
The beach hut is useful although we used it only once due to the weather being a bit too hot for our two doggies.
We had lots of walks along the beach and seafront walk to Hunstanton for morning coffee. And further walks in the late afternoons around the grounds at Sandringham which is only 7 miles away.
The garden at Lodge End is safe for dogs, I had to give the yard & paths a good sweep as they had been neglected. We were also invaded by ants in two rooms.
All in all a good holiday property, we would come again.

Very comfortable bungalow with lovely garden
The bungalow is well furnished with comfortable sofas and beds. We found everything was provided that we needed, and the extra utility area was useful with the shower room and washing machine. We also used the beach hut which was a great base for the beach and to watch the beautiful sunsets from. The garden is a good size and good for dogs. It is next to a road but we didn't find that a problem and spent plenty of time sunbathing in the recliner chairs. The local shops, pubs, and beach are all walking distance but there are plenty of regular buses to nearby towns as well. We would definitely love to stay again at Lodge End.
