Cosy, dog friendly cottage. Perfect for long beach walks with or without a pet.
Sloe Gin Cottage has a charming interior that boasts traditional period features with quirky splashes of character throughout including exposed beams, trusses and a cosy wood-burning stove. Lovingly restored, using traditional materials and colours, the cottage provides stylish accommodation with comfortable furnishings. A real 'home from home' with hidden wooden mice to hunt for!
Accommodation: Ground Floor - Sitting Room: a welcoming room with comfortable seating, cosy throws and wood-burner, Smart TV. Kitchen/Dining Room - gas range cooker, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge /freezer, washing machine, sofa, farmhouse kitchen table and chairs, French doors to courtyard garden, stairs to the first floor. Please note: The staircase at the property is a typical Norfolk staircase. It may be steeper than your staircase at home. First Floor - Bedroom 1 with a double bed, Bedroom 2 with 2'6" twin beds. Bathroom - bath tub, rainfall over-bath shower, washbasin and wc. Garden - fully enclosed sunny courtyard with table and chairs. Gas central heating and woodburner. Pets - Two well behaved medium-sized dogs welcome downstairs only. Also provided - towels, highchair and stair gate. Books, DVDs, games, radio. WiFi. Note this is a non-smoking property. Mobile signal - good. Parking for 2 cars on gravel drive.

We booked a 3 night stay on a bank holiday weekend without any elevated costs- brilliant! The cottage is beyond charming-the layout is sublime and it’s definitely what I’d call a chef's kitchen, where we spent most of our time- round the table meals and evening board games meant quality time (rare with teens!) Our two dogs were easily accommodated and loved having the run of an ample downstairs. If anything I’d say that the photos don’t do enough justice to the sheer space, airiness, and overall comfort. The beach was just a short walk away down what we have named “duck alley”! It was easy to stretch our legs, play on some 2p machines, eat some chips and watch stunning sunsets. This is an absolute treasure of a find with great hosts in contact throughout. Will return.

This is a delightful cottage, with a cosy sitting-room and then much larger than expected and extremely well-equipped kitchen/diner at the back. We didn’t have sitting out weather, but there is a small secluded garden at the back which would be lovely in summer - better than it appears on the Vrbo photos. Despite being on a road called High Street it is very quiet. A bonus is the well above-average quality selection of books and DVDs available.

Our stay was superb a delightful little cottage in the middle of a nice Norfolk Village. The cottage was beautifully presented, everything you could wish for to make your stay all you want it to be. The thoughtfulness of the owners was lovely, it was my Wives 60th birthday and they left her a lovely cake a bunch of flowers and a lovely message. And that was added to the hamper they supply. We are very happy customers. We shall return.

Wonderful spacious, clean accommodation with really comfy beds. Everything we needed was to hand. Perfect location for a short break to enjoy the area and the beaches. Helpful and responsive owners and housekeeper. Thank you for a wonderful break, we will be back!

Lovely cottage. Absolutely everything you could possibly wish for in cottage. Pleasant village but just a little too quiet for me! However, a good base for exploring coast line of North Norfolk.

Sloe Gin cottage is the perfect place to stay for a visit to the Norfolk coast, it’s absolutely immaculate & equipped with everything you could possibly need for a fantastic short break. We would return & recommend to others without hesitation. Our only issue was that we didn’t want to leave!!! Very helpful hosts should you need to contact them 😊

Another lovely stay in this beautiful cottage. Kitchen has everything you need, parking outside the door, enclosed garden ideal for dogs. Great walks, just right for a quiet relaxing break. Would love to come back again !

We had a very nice stay. The cottage was well-equipped and very comfortable. The sunny garden was also very pleasant and seemed to get the sun both morning and evening. Heacham is a nice spot with all the amenities we needed. Tesco was a short walk away and it was a pleasant walk into Hunstanton along the coast path. We also spent time in Thornham just a short drive away - an amazing and very quiet beach. We would love to visit again and explore more of this lovely area.

We really enjoyed our stay in the property. The wooden mice were a nice touch and the children had fun finding them. The kitchen/diner was a great space to cook and eat in and the lounge very comfortable. A lovely place to spend a week and to anyone else staying, we thoroughly recommend the bakery!

Lovely cottage with all the essentials and plenty of extras, including a beautiful and well stocked kitchen. The owners are responsive and helpful and this is clearly a well cared for property. Perfect location for exploring Norfolk!

Stayed here for Easter. Such a lovely cozy cottage and well equipped. Off street parking a bonus and saves a lot of hassle with parking Cottage a great base for visiting local places such as Sandringham, Holkham, Hunstanton, Norfolk Lavender and so on. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely , cosy cottage ! Immaculate throughout with a perfect enclosed garden for the two spaniels . Great location to explore the coast . Nicky (owner) was v v helpful and always on hand if needed ! A fabulous family holiday !

A charming and fantastically well-appointed cottage in the seaside village of Heacham. There are lovely little touches all around the cottage - a lovely welcome hamper, a doggy drawer full of bowls, lots of fluffy towels, toiletries and immaculately clean. Nicky is a marvellous and host and we look forward to coming back to Sloe Gin Cottage and enjoying more of the Norfolk coastline.

Lovely cottage with attractive decor. Well equipped and comfortable. Slight problem parking nearby as area in front of cottage involved a problem. Unable to access hot water in the shower, some instructions might have helped. Managed to speak to owner who was able to guide us through.

This was located in a large village in reach of outstanding beaches and countryside. The modest exterior belied the roomy and well set out interior. Although there was no access to the drive outside the terraced cottage parking directly opposite was easy on all the days we were there. The kitchen was a good size and well equipped.The 2 bedrooms were a good size and the beds comfortable. The bathroom had an in bath shower which worked well. The plumbing needed some attention in the upstairs toilet and the kitchen sink drain. Otherwise the property was ideal for a short stay and we would recommend it.

Lovely cottage which has been tastefully modernised by thoughtful caring owners, it has everything and more in a bright clean cottage which still retains its charms. The kitchen is large and spacious with every modern appliance you need, it’s also been extended and is deceptively spacious. People had mentioned parking- we didn’t have a problem, my wife is disabled and we parked opposite the cottage with no problem, the road is quiet and there is little/ v light traffic Lots of pubs and beaches, villages to visit near by like Burnham Market & Holt, great places to explore from a home from home base 😃 the owners have hidden carved mice around the cottage which is a lovely touch to find & count (11 🤔😃) Alll in all, a great stay thank you 😊 Dave & Kirstie Chesterfield
